A series would be cool, but Rosh should probably wall off a geyser and build around the Incredibly Hot Room. Walls with low insulation will allow the heat to bleed out at a rate that your pawn can survive and you won't need to spend wood to stay alive nearly as much. Of course, lacking a leg generally means Rosh is just dead.
Maybe Rosh's cousin, Sosh can try?
A series would be great! Did you see the winter plants(crops?) Mod? It has grow able plants for cold climates. Only a tiny amount though.
he could grow nutrigungus which could be used to fuel mushoom torchs for both heat and light to grow fibercorn

I've always loved cold settings. A lengthier series in an eternal winter would be very interesting, both gameplay-wise and narratively.
Cold settings are a comfort of mine. Everyone seems to really enjoy the series so far, we may end up doing a lot of episodes :)

A term you’re thinking of is early modern, but there’s also about a 300-350 year gap in between the “end” of the medieval period and the Napoleonic wars which includes the Renaissance, beginning of Trans-Atlantic trade and colonization, founding of U.S.A., and so on
