@@austinsavage ... Completely agree... should've never changed the music for redux. This soundtrack WAS the 90's in Hong Kong tv and film, they used it everywhere because it was so Great!
@@austinsavage Is it a rights issue? I picked up the 90s laserdisc of it a couple of years ago (along with Chungking Express) for a buck. I watched it for the first time last night.
Hong Qi was the only person in the whole movie that didn't end up miserable
Dead on a frozan mountain top with his senile arch nemesis.
@@SouRi1Two3 ....they both died happy as old friends and rivals
@@SouRi1Two3 yeah he could not asked for a better death than that in the wuxia world
Kind of weird he has a wife in this version though.
in this version he was simple minded (but not stupid) and just followed his heart. cant go wrong in life doing that
This is also one of my favorite scenes!!
The music is so beautiful....
yup. still don't understand why the changed the soundtrack for Redux. this soundtrack is so iconic

Wong Kar-Wai does not redeem Ouyang Feng, but he does show in his version a nice explanation of why he became the Western Venom.
Tends to be good, but troubled @@kitchendevil
Great scene, I can feel isolation too.
