The Mt Baker Snoqualmie National Forest is only about an hour east of Bellingham and a very simple drive. Despite the proximity and ease of travel, one of the most amazing sunrise locations in the Pacific Northwest awaits the brave. It's an early start but worth every missed minute of sleep.

Thank you for the comment. I love both winter and summer BUT, Artist Point is well worth waiting...but, a winter trip in the snow is quite something too (I would do summer).
