Apparently the entire Overcoat war in H division started because the screws armed up the local crazy person in the wing (Chopper) and mad him go after the Dockers who hated the screws and governor. The system used Chopper as a tool to fight against other criminals and later the Melbourne police use him the same way when he was on the streets. He was such an important informant and pasty for the police that they even gave him a bullet proof vest to protect himself (which Chopper was wearing on the night he shot the Turk). Chopper talks like hes his own man but he was just a government bootlicker and a yes man.

He said he would get the young kids into football and tell them to stay away from drugs. Out on the football field he would see them dealing. He said he became a bit frustrated trying to educate the kids and steer them the right way, and in the end, they just did what they wanted to do. I found him very open and friendly. He gave me his card as i left, and I would show it to people that i knew to see their reaction....LOL

There was a caller on a aussie radio show recently (topic of the show was called confessions) that had a great yarn about chop. She was next door neighbour to him for a number of years, and said she never felt safer with him around. One night she was on the front verandah and he was out the front having a smoke, he asked how she was and she said yeah good just hoping I can get some sleep tonight (there was a party down the street) he nodded at her, and she said good night and went back inside. She then saw chopper walking down the road with a cricket bat. The party/noise stopped soon after and he walked back and gave her another nod as she came outside and said good night, sleep well. She said for years, anytime there was a party on the street it was shut down after she got home. Even parties she was going too haha. Her friends said to her it's strange he comes every time after you leave, she denied having anything to do with it for a long time and felt bad for her friends that she never told them but admitted she loved having someone look out for her like that. He is a walking duality this man, but something about him you gotta love.

Gotta give him credit for that. Say what you like about him he had some principles. Any other cunt would have taken that liver & then ran a shitload of booze through it. The fucking tumour he had was a monster! He shows it off in the last interview 16 days before he died. My livers fucked through heavy drink everyday for the past 27 years. Nearly killed me 2 years ago so I stopped drinking for 5 months then back on it everyday since! I'll be out of here soon. My body is getting its revenge on me & its called a mutiny! Im fucking falling apart at age 43. Lost a few uncles to booze too. The booze will kill you faster than anything. I wonder if his drinking played a part as drank a lot but he was in jail a fucking lot so wasn't drinking then. Aussies fucking love a bevvy though. Aussies are sound. If I lived in that heat I'd be swigging ice cold beer all day too!

    Legend.
He wasn’t a bad bloke, he was an Alfa male thou & wouldn’t stand for shit.
He liked morals & would take the law into his own hands, Robin Hood of Australia. If you lied to him, he be annoyed like anybody else would.
