Tommie is one of my Bro’s, he just shared this on FB… and the fact that you’re this detailed in your blogs (for someone who’s information isn’t everywhere) is a crazy amount work. Respect and I’m definitely gonna watch more of your content.
See, this is what I love most about FlemLo. It says a lot that the friends, family, and sometimes the individual that is covered wind up showing love to Flem for his deep dive videos. It blows me away that dude gives us this content for free. Welcome to the channel, fam. The content is 🔥, and the folks around here are pretty chill. Pour one, twist up, and settle in.
Ty this is why I watch ur channel. I'm currently a janitor , paying my way through college, to alot of people me going from a janitor to a virologist is a impossible dream. But in 2025 dream reality 😀😀
I am also employed as a Janitor/Sanitation. We don’t get the respect we deserve but I’ve learned that when there’s no one to do our job, others start to appreciate our presence. I’ve come a long way, from a trainee to second in command in calling shots for a team of Sanitation. Good luck on your journey to becoming a Virologist! Your knowledge of being a Janitor will help you along the way!
Believe in yourself . Had a buddy who was a janitor at the airport and is now a pilot for one of the biggest airlines today . Stay committed and keep ur vision high
I'm from Aliquippa and I met Tommy once and he was super humble! He was in his second season in Tennessee and I was literally sitting next to him in a picnic bench at a local Italian club. I didn't even realize who he was until after talking to him for awhile he just introduced himself as Tommie. LOL I always cheered hard for him!
As a medical student I can tell you that narcolepsy is no joke. People with narcolepsy suffer from excessive tiredness and have no control of their sleep-wake cycles. They can literally drop to the floor and fall asleep mid conversation. It requires daily stimulants like adderall/modafinil to keep awake. I guarantee he was missing meetings bc he wasn’t on meds and fell asleep. I have sympathy for him, he had no control over it, and who knows his healthcare status at the time.
Thanks for the expanded details of narcolepsy. I knew it was a real issue, but I didn't think it was much more than an excessive annoyance for sufferers. I actually suffer from a number of the symptoms you mentioned, but had always assumed it was low blood sugar or low iron. How common is narcolepsy?
@@SkunkApe407 you should see a doctor and get some blood tests done. Excessive tiredness can come from so many things. Dropping to the floor (cataplexy) is unique to narcolepsy tho. If this happens to you, you should consider getting on stimulants to keep awake!
@Danny Otuwa I fortunately haven't fallen out while standing, but I can fall asleep mid-conversation without warning and have experienced "time gaps" of apparent sleepwalking during the daytime. I thank you for your response. Looks like I need to schedule a visit with the Doc.
@@robertwelch7513 a lot of research goes into these, and that research takes more than a day to do. Then there's writing the script and editing, which both could take multiple hours. With his video style, it would be impossible to put out top notch content on the daily
What a great video! I still remember being I believe 13 years old at my first Titans game against the lions when Tommie Campbell got the punt return TD from the lateral. Absolutely crazy game and one of the most underrated games in history
I love these redemption stories. They don't always end in success on the field, but any ending where a baller doesn't throw his life away is a happy one.
This dude needs to be on Netflix or what ever other streaming services run docs. I could listen to this guy talk about more than sports. Got that doc voice and the way the videos get laid out is just solid. Love the work my guy!
Well Done sir, I am an Alumnus of Aliquippa High and came out of high school the year before Revis and a couple years before Tommie. Was proud to follow both of their careers. A side detail to Tommie's track career is that Aliquippa High does not have it's own track facility so our track a field athletes trained on parking lots and the football practice field.
Great video Flem! I thought the life lesson you mentioned at the end is applicable to me as I recently got rejected from graduate school for communication sciences and disorders. I am working on a plan b myself until I can re-apply for grad school next year.

I live in PA, so I remember him from HS for winning the 1 and 2 in track. Glad to know he ended up having a full career in pro football. I ended up going a similar academic route as him, D1 to Juco then finishing out at a D2. I understand how it can be hard to do well at a large school.
