- Apologies for the slightly 'jerky' video.
Farewell (Bob Dylan)
''Well, fare thee well my own true love,
I'm leavin' in the first hour of the morn.
I'm bound off for the bay of Mexico
Or maybe the coast of Californ.
So fare thee well my own true love,
We'll meet another day, another time.
It's not the leavin' that's grieving me
But my true love that's bound to stay behind.
At first I'll tell of a town where our matters will be bound
Down among the Mexican Plains
They say that everybody is most friendly there
All they ask of you is your name
So fare thee well, my own true love
We'll meet another day, another time
it's not the leavin' that's grieving me
but my true love that's bound to stay behind
I'll tell you 'bout the laughter & the troubles,
be they somebody else's or my own
With my hands in my pockets, my coat collar high,
I'll travel unnoticed and unknown
So fare thee well my own true love,
We'll meet another day, another time.
It's not the leavin' that's grieving me
But my true love that's bound to stay behind.
So, fare thee well my own true love,
We shall meet another day, another time.
It's not the leavin' that's grieving me
But my true love that's bound to stay behind.
So fare thee well my own true love,
We'll meet another day, another time.
It not the leavin' that's grieving me
But my true love that's bound to stay behind.

❤❤❤❤❤
They make a great duo. It sounds though like this was recorded on an old Phillips camcorder. I would have loved to hear it live, or at least through better audio gear.
Julie Felix had such a lovely voice...unfortunately, I did not discover her music until rather late in life.
OK, except for "We're All Going to the Zoo," and that was just because of the Monty Python skit.
Excelente versión y regalo para coleccionar. Extraordinario y muy buen dueto. Saludos desde muy lejos (Chile).
Wonderful clip with the sensational Julie Felix and fab MM. Mike d’Abo looked off his nut!
Mike was a good songwriter, he wrote "Build me up buttercup" which sold 4 million copies for The Foundations and "Handbags and Gladrags" recorded by Chris Farlowe and Rod Stewart amongst others.
Remembering Julie Felix born on June 14, 1938. She was an American-British folk singer and recording artist who achieved success, particularly on British television, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. She later performed and released albums on her own record label. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julie_Felix
I never would have dreamed that Julie sang with these great bands like The Hollies, The Kinks & Manfred Mann! This is the second line up with Mike d'Abo & Klaus Voorman (bass) -- you know, that artist feller. [;-)]
Paul Jones is Mike d’Abo ?
Mike d'Abo singin here
I want that shirt.
Love it... and I'd pay cash money for Manfred's tunic he is wearing.
dickbrodeur what about mike's trousers? great combination i should think
That is Mike D'arbo who replaced Paul Jones as lead singer, Manfred Mann was on the drums
@@hillarysgood
Manfred Mann is on keyboards.
@@hillarysgood its Mike d'Abo not Darbo & he did indeed replace Paul Jones when he left the group to go solo.
Mike Hugg was the drummer@@hillarysgood
R.I.P.
the song the leaving of liverpool is better known by the traditional title in ireland. the clancy brothers popularised it.
This is not Manfred Mann. It's Mike D'Abo, who had recently replaced Paul Jones, the vocalist on the band's iconic early 60s r & b hits. Jones struck out on his own on power ballads with limited success. The main instrumentalist actually called himself Manfred Mann, a jazz keyboardist from South Africa. Julie had to work hard to lift this song out of the mire. Hardly a memorable moment.
Well, actually the band was called Manfred Mann - so it's correct to say that it's Julie Felix & Manfred Mann, since the entire band is present.
It looks like she is singing , and he is miming
Thinking of Greatful Dead. Wasn't this in the Deads set list?
Stevencarter must have become blind drunk around the 1'54" mark as that's where the whole band come in to shot.
That Mike d'Abo looks awfully like Paul Jones !
For boring precision, the male vocalist is Mike D’Abo, who was then singer with Manfred Mann, the band featuring the eponymous Mann on keyboards, bur who doesn’t appear here.
Not sure what you mean. The band appear in the video, including Manfred.
sjm1 Ah yes. Should have stuck with it. Boring precision was never my strong point.
@@sjm1 He didn't even finish watching the video, he is just in love with own pomposity.
Leaving of Liverpool.... That's obviously a tory version.. The one where Liverpool doesn't exist...
I much preferred Paul to Mike on vocals for MM
