Great upload, awesome. I've got to admit I'd never heard this song before.
The BBC erased far too many videos/clips back then.

Thanks Lydia. This channel is a work in progress to restore sound and picture on some great clips from Manfred Mann 1963-1969. "Budgie" is from the BBC archive and was partially wiped with poor sound. We have restored the sound on this version. This was a lucky find in colour as it was shot on colour video tape but would have been broadcast in black and white. To my knowledge, this clip have never been seen since its original airing. There's more to come, so please spread the word about the channel. Best wishes, Rob

Great minds think alike. I also prefer the Mike d'Abo era.

Great Mellotron, and I like Mike Hugg's bass drum skin too!

Manfred Mann used the Mellotron extensively in most songs from the 1960s including "Each Other's Company" (which was their attempt at a love song), "Ha! Ha! Said the Clown" and the Randy Newman-penned "So Long, Dad".

@@VirreFriberg And what a wonderful song it is . That fade out with the snare pattern and round Robin vocal is quite remarkable .
