Have you ever heard of someone buying from Neiman Marcus and it was a fake? One thing I notice is that I couldn’t really smell the fragrance when I sprayed it from the bottle. I’ve tried samples and the smell was stronger.
Also another difference is the silhouette of the glass on the inside. The part that actually touches the juice if that makes sense. On the real one it curves in towards the center and then back out again where as the fake one just comes down straight slightly in towards the bottom.

I'm originally from Russia and agree. There are tons of fakes going around there and niche perfumes as well. Other post Soviet countries are also flooded with fakes.
So this helped me a lot. I bought a bottle through a reputable retailer online The Range who have a Home range which is distributed from retailers they apporove and it was fake. The J the B on the side and the colour of the box were clearly noticeable against the ones bought from selfridges etc. To top it off they are adding QR codes thar scan to nothing but a Text of numbers so beware. They have gotten better with the line spacing on the side etc though so they are trying and they are now only adding one red dot on the side too so don't be fooled people 😉

Some fake sellers nustify their products as "rejects" for whatever irregulariity that might have occured in preparing the cologne or perfume, they claim it could be in the packaging, the juice or whatever ...so im always confused when it comes to this, similar to clothing brands some "fakes" are taken from the factories for a crooked stitch or whatever

Hello. I heard that the batch code gives the year the perfume was created with the first two numbers (ie: 18002 was born in 2018). Is that true? If so, it seems that would be a great way to check if a perfume is fake, too. Anyone looking to try it out before committing all that money...I bought the Dossier one, Amber Saffron. Baccarat Rouge 540 is soooo expensive. So, I wanted to try out the Dossier one to see if it's for me. It's lovely, but doesn't last. But, hey for $35...you get what you pay for.

FYI ..where I live in the Arabian Gulf there are hundreds of perfumers/houses, they have been in the business for the past hundred odd years, and these houses are masters beyond any shade of a doubt. When MFK BR540 was introduced the majority of us knew that this fragrance is not new to our noses..we had so many similar blends/oils...etc of this composition...and these are not expensive they are priced around 30 to 80 US$... it goes without saying how gorgeous the bottles and the packagings are (I am a collector)...it is not a bad thing to compare things, in my experience I found the local blends surpassed and they ticked all the boxes.

I just registered an account with Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and the Maison Francis Kurkdjian website itself. I ended purchasing bottles from Saks and the Maison. It's just easier to spend the extra money and not worry about fakes or being scammed. You don't know what people are mixing or putting in bottles. Atleast if my skin falls of...Neiman, Saks and Maison has lawsuit revenue.

I sell authentic fragrances on EBay and being a seller, people often try to scam me.. I sincerely hate your experience but not all Of us are bad.. I agree with Aisha, I’m also an eBay seller and I’ve sold Louis Vuitton and Kay ali frags on their - and I’ve bought them directly From the official websites - it’s sad that People can’t trust eBay anymore because of things like this , but I would say it’s actually safer to buy from a person seeming to sell their own personal items than an actual website via eBay , because a person most like likely would have just the one real one to sell where a company can manufacture a bunch of fakes , make sense ?

But you can't always tell real from fake just by the box. The MFK boxes change and are not always the same for each released prints. Also, now the newer perfumes have a QR code but it only started recently so if you have an older perfume, it won't show a QR code. It's mainly in the smell you can tell the difference, and the Chinese fakes smell awful.
This video is years ago . And I didn’t purchase the fake. Anywhere that’s not the original site or known proven trusted sellers I assume you will not buy from there.

Always look at the J if it has a round curve, it's fake. The real baccarat J in Kukdjian is straight down
