Thanks so much for playing the choralvorspiele BEFORE the choral instead of after as so many wrongly & weirdly do in our age of gross ignorance of the church sad blind fools have suicidally abandoned, God have mercy. I'd sure love to hang out and hear this gifted guy's special heart and soul about his performance. Soli Deo gloria!
Your passion for music and the organ shows through in all you wonderful videos. Thank you for sharing your tremendous talent and the link to the organ site for the great photos of the organ. We on youtube are so fortunate for your willingness to share. Looking forward to your future posts when you can. In the meantime I'll savour all your present videos.
He visto tu album completo y quedo sorprendido del magnifico organista que eres . Magnifico e inmejorable!!!!.un cordial saludo, de un organero de Malaga españa
This is my favorite Christmas present so far. Great playing. Thank you so much. I love it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Portland, Oregon USA!!!!!!!
Your playing is wonderful, I am glad I stumbled upon it. Now that we are eight years later, I will tell you that I am concerned about your posture and how it can affect your spine. I am a firm believer in sitting straigt up to reduce strain on the back and neck.
oh, I forgot to mention... you may not feel it or notice it for some time because you are young and active. It will be 40 years later when you are an older man, walking around hunched over.
It is over three years ago that this very evocative and touching interpretation for all three verses (or strophes) has been posted. It should be noted, that this Reger adaptation is not based on Bach but on the music composed by Johann Rudolph Ahle (1625-1673) from Mühlhausen in Thuringia in 1644.
Thanks for the info. I know J.S. Bach's BWV 633 is at 0:00, Max Reger's op 135a Nr 14 is at 1:56 , but what's at 3:38? My 1953 Fritz Stein RegerVerzeichnis only lists op 135a Nr 14. Is it the organist's own improvisation or another composer not mentioned?
I prefer your body position at 1;44. Leaning forward and peering at the score leads to disequilibre. If the music desk is too low, a litlle DIY may be called for. I wonder why we hear so little Flor Peeters these days?
Nice video. You seem a little bit tense, especially in your shoulders, and your fingers seem too stiff, but it doesn't seem to be subtracting from the quality of your performance. Plus, I give you the benefit of the doubt that you've greatly improved your organ skills since you made this video. Keep up the good work.
Er ist sooooo GEIL! (Auch selbstverständlich schöne spielen)! Ich kann sehr leicht in ihn verlieben! (aber mit meiner Art von Glück ist er wahrscheinlich am ehesten hetero!)
something truly beautiful happens when you sit at this instrument and play the music that you love... thank you for sharing it with us...
Oh,ich liebe Reger,super gespielt..ein gefühlvoller Choral sowieso...Danke

Wat passen en orgel en organist goed bij elkaar. Ook weer een prachtige uitvoering.
Ga door!

Sorry, unfortunately I do not have access to literature giving that answer, and we should ask the performers of this video. This is 14 years ago :-(

I rather enjoyed this!

Hi! Where can I find Reger´s version? What´s the Opus-Nr?
I love your very fine and expressive playing!
