@Lifestyle Overland, get yourselves some turnkey clamps for the heater ducts. That way you don’t have to get the screw driver out each time. I got them for my Propex heater, and they’re a time saver. Much easier to tighten, especially in cold weather.

Brother Kevin, canopener on your kife works like this: top hook goes over the wall of the can. Bottom hook is pulled up into the lid by using the top hook as a lever.

Ran ours three nights and maybe used 2.5 gallons if that. Total run time was probably around 20 hours

Teaching your children to be self sufficient at a young age is important. A few years ago, our oldest daughter (who was a freshman in college) was invited to go on a co-ed camping trip with 2 other girls and 2 guys. The girl who reserved the camp site waited too late and was only able to get a walk-in site, which she didn’t realize was about 1/3 of a mile from the parking area. Out of the 5 campers, my daughter was the only 1 who had camped before. No one else had thought to set up the tent in a back yard for some experience. If my daughter had not of gone, the tent would not have been set up. I feel sorry for the guys who lugged the 8 person tent both ways in addition to their personal gear. 😂

You might run into issues with condensation build up in your exhaust line of the heater. The muffler has a drain hole on the bottom to allow condensation to escape. With it pointed up the moisture will be trapped and could cause exhaust back pressure.

Love the videos. Very inspiring. I love the diesel heater. I been looking at them as well. I think it's the only way I'll get my wife out in the cold. One idea I'm curious about is I believe if you run another hose to the fresh air supply and recirculate the warm air from the tent it will be more efficient making it warmer and possibly burn less fuel. if i get one before you try it, I'll let you know. Happy travels!

      Hi from Australia, 🇦🇺
I just read your comment and thought you might like to look at my set up, some Australian locations including world heritage K’gari (Fraser island the worlds largest sand island) and camp cook ups.

Another fantastic video, I always enjoy seeing you work together as a family. My only gripe is that commercial breaks every 4 minutes is a bit much. I understand the need to draw revenue, but it really takes away from the flow of your work.

Another awesome video! Do you guys ever notice how long you stretch out the hot water pour in every video? Do you do this as an inside joke?
Funny how you guys both have migrated from 4Runners to bigger rugs. I know you still have Silver, but you guys do more and more with GX.
Anywho, keep up the great video’s. Have an awesome Christmas Season!

    Topic
What campgrounds encourage reserving the same camp spots a year in advance or far in advance and dozens locking up percentages of campgrounds with friends and extended family year- after year
And if / when some cancel at the last minute how and when those spots are made : “re-available”
Seemingly the remain vacant on an x day or week-end while others are turned away
Seemingly, some camp ground collection of an advance fee and “ revenue stream $$$$$” prohibits re-allocating un- used camp spots …
As if a person purchased the right to use or non- use a designated spot for a day or days or a week
    ??????

I'm not positive if you're the same UA-camr but if you are I want to be the first to extend my deepest apologies to you and yours if you were the same gentleman who showed up to mine and my wife's camp on July 19th up towards Alsea Falls Oregon and you told me that you had been camped in that spot for a few days and you were hoping it was still available and you explained that you were a UA-camr and I asked what the name of your channel was and I kind of forgot and it was dark that night but I got a decent look at your rig and I'm pretty sure you are the one, so if you are that gentleman I would again like to extend my apologies to you and your family for turning you guys away at such an hour of the night there was more than enough room for the both of us to camp in that one spot, I guess me and my wife were just being overcautious knowing things these days you have to be careful who you run into especially late at night in the woods LOL but again we apologize and hope we cross paths again so we may join in your families adventure while you are in our beautiful state of Oregon❤ hope you and your family have a great day and Adventure on👍 and I also apologize if I have the wrong UA-camr I just feel terrible not offering part of our camp to these fine folks, I respect all who love to Adventure as well as UA-camrs so if I have the wrong UA-camr I hope my apology reaches the UA-camr I am apologizing to.👋love to all❤
