The girl who reserved the camp site waited too late and was only able to get a walk-in site, which she didn’t realize was about 1/3 of a mile from the parking area. You might run into issues with condensation build up in your exhaust line of the heater. The muffler has a drain hole on the bottom to allow condensation to escape. With it pointed up the moisture will be trapped and could cause exhaust back pressure.

Love the videos. Very inspiring. I love the diesel heater. I been looking at them as well. I think it's the only way I'll get my wife out in the cold. One idea I'm curious about is I believe if you run another hose to the fresh air supply and recirculate the warm air from the tent it will be more efficient making it warmer and possibly burn less fuel. if i get one before you try it, I'll let you know. Happy travels!

It's the diesel fuel pump in priming/pre heating mode, it slows down the tick once it is in its normal run mode. I use mine literally right outside the end of my rooftop where I sleep and it has never kept me awake. Highly recommend them for winter camping.

Topic What campgrounds encourage reserving the same camp spots a year in advance or far in advance and dozens locking up percentages of campgrounds with friends and extended family year- after year And if / when some cancel at the last minute how and when those spots are made : “re-available” Seemingly the remain vacant on an x day or week-end while others are turned away Seemingly, some camp ground collection of an advance fee and “ revenue stream $$$$$” prohibits re-allocating un- used camp spots … As if a person purchased the right to use or non- use a designated spot for a day or days or a week ??????
I'm not positive if you're the same UA-camr but if you are I want to be the first to extend my deepest apologies to you and yours if you were the same gentleman who showed up to mine and my wife's camp on July 19th up towards Alsea Falls Oregon and you told me that you had been camped in that spot for a few days and you were hoping it was still available and you explained that you were a UA-camr and I asked what the name of your channel was and I kind of forgot and it was dark that night but I got a decent look at your rig and I'm pretty sure you are the one, so if you are that gentleman I would again like to extend my apologies to you and your family for turning you guys away at such an hour of the night there was more than enough room for the both of us to camp in that one spot, I guess me and my wife were just being overcautious knowing things these days you have to be careful who you run into especially late at night in the woods LOL but again we apologize and hope we cross paths again so we may join in your families adventure while you are in our beautiful state of Oregon❤ hope you and your family have a great day and Adventure on👍 and I also apologize if I have the wrong UA-camr I just feel terrible not offering part of our camp to these fine folks, I respect all who love to Adventure as well as UA-camrs so if I have the wrong UA-camr I hope my apology reaches the UA-camr I am apologizing to.👋love to all❤

Love the diesel heater. I enjoy mine. Stinks at first fire up, but it’s just raw fuel being dumped in. Heck of a lot better than a mr. buddy heater.
More efficient?

We fitted our diesel heater inside our Getaway. But, we could do this only because our tent is on the trailer.
Any condensation issues inside the tent with the heater going when it's cold out?
there shouldn't be, it's heat exchanged air, same system as the car's heater
Great video like always. Can anyone tell me what kind of tube are you using for the heater?I didnt found anything to be easy for transportation and that flexible only thik aluminium.Thanks.
look for dryer duct or heater duct, the flexible kind of course.
I'm curious if you know what the "ticking" is from the heater. Another great adventure, thanks for sharing. Until next time... Travel Safe.
It's the diesel fuel pump in priming/pre heating mode, it slows down the tick once it is in its normal run mode. I use mine literally right outside the end of my rooftop where I sleep and it has never kept me awake. Highly recommend them for winter camping.
@@soulsurvivorlifecoaching2190 Thanks.
Hi from Australia,
I just read your comment and thought you might like to look at my set up, some Australian locations including world heritage K’gari (Fraser island the worlds largest sand island) and camp cook ups. 🇦🇺
Cheers and safe travels

Wow I didn’t recognize Jason, until the rock toss. Do you remember the name of the large waterfall you visited, looks very familiar.

Where can I find the recipe for the chicken and rice dish?
Julia Childs of overlanding!
What kind of tube did you use for the diesel heater.
looks like dryer duct
Another fantastic video, I always enjoy seeing you work together as a family. My only gripe is that commercial breaks every 4 minutes is a bit much. I understand the need to draw revenue, but it really takes away from the flow of your work.

Can I ask what is the single water heater that you use to boil water for your coffee, thanks Ray from the UK
the orange thing at the very beginning? His brand is JetBoil, the other guy used MSR. Few different brands for the same style cooker.
@@gwot no no it the burner that fits under a metal cup that you use to boil water for your coffee in the morning 👍

your pot is all scratched up, easy fix , line it with heavy duty aluminium foil, then you can pull everything out at once , no fuss no must ..
That’s called arroz con pollo 😂
I feel like you drive through the woods and make some giant meal. Is everything based upon this complicated meal? Not being mean.
👍
Another awesome video! Do you guys ever notice how long you stretch out the hot water pour in every video? Do you do this as an inside joke?
Funny how you guys both have migrated from 4Runners to bigger rugs. I know you still have Silver, but you guys do more and more with GX.
Anywho, keep up the great video’s. Have an awesome Christmas Season!

What campgrounds encourage reserving the same camp spots a year in advance or far in advance and dozens locking up percentages of campgrounds with friends and extended family year- after year
And if / when some cancel at the last minute how and when those spots are made : “re-available”
Seemingly the remain vacant on an x day or week-end while others are turned away
Seemingly, some camp ground collection of an advance fee and “ revenue stream $$$$$” prohibits re-allocating un- used camp spots …
As if a person purchased the right to use or non- use a designated spot for a day or days or a week
??????
This much of food i eat in a single meal , how do u 3 guys eat so less.

Trying to pinpoint that opening music...I know it.

After Swell runnner sold his 4runner his channel tanked , no body wants to watch dodge trucks. Lol
I'm not positive if you're the same UA-camr but if you are I want to be the first to extend my deepest apologies to you and yours if you were the same gentleman who showed up to mine and my wife's camp on July 19th up towards Alsea Falls Oregon and you told me that you had been camped in that spot for a few days and you were hoping it was still available and you explained that you were a UA-camr and I asked what the name of your channel was and I kind of forgot and it was dark that night but I got a decent look at your rig and I'm pretty sure you are the one, so if you are that gentleman I would again like to extend my apologies to you and your family for turning you guys away at such an hour of the night there was more than enough room for the both of us to camp in that one spot, I guess me and my wife were just being overcautious knowing things these days you have to be careful who you run into especially late at night in the woods LOL but again we apologize and hope we cross paths again so we may join in your families adventure while you are in our beautiful state of Oregon❤ hope you and your family have a great day and Adventure on👍 and I also apologize if I have the wrong UA-camr I just feel terrible not offering part of our camp to these fine folks, I respect all who love to Adventure as well as UA-camrs so if I have the wrong UA-camr I hope my apology reaches the UA-camr I am apologizing to.👋love to all❤
So this episode was basically about nothing it's so far removed from your Utah, Colorado, Alaska adventure I understand not every episode is "Epic" but it really leaves me wishing for more content
Nothing? I learn a lot watching all their videos; I take notes on all the products and processes. I learn a ton!
