Pigs are highly highly intelligent. Like dolphin intelligence! We used to run a pot belly pig rescue for 15 yrs. She’s so cute.
Yes they are! It's pretty cool how smart they are. That's so fun and so awesome that you did that!
How cute! God bless❤
Winnie looks so cute, the animals you raise will surely love you, they will love your videos
Love you Winnie! And I really appreciate the "reality check" moment at the end. I think more people should do that.
Hey Ya'll.. please ignore the people in the comments trying to educate you on what my pig is or isn't. Winnie is a Juliana pig. Juliana pigs tend to be around 50lbs when they are full grown. I have also seen her parents, neither are over 60lbs. Could she be larger than her parents by a bit? Sure. We are prepared for that should that happen. That is a reality that we're both OK with financially speaking and as far as our land goes. A "mini pig" is NOT a breed of pig, it is simply a descriptive way to describe how large they believe the pig will be based on it's BREED and how large it's parents are. For example. a "teacup" yorkie isn't a breed. It is simply a yorkie (who TENDS to be a smaller breed) that's bred from two smaller parents. Could that yorkie end up being a bit bigger than their parents? For sure. It's happened! Same with pigs. HOWEVER there are also people out there trying to sell baby pigs from a farm hog and call them "mini pigs" in order to make money. Many people try to keep their pig small by underfeeding as well, this is NOT OK. Also, on the flip side, people's pigs end up getting much bigger (obese) because they are not feeding them properly and/or feeding them too much.
So if you're going to be buying a baby pig and you're hoping for one that will stay small...a few things to ask/consider: How large are the parents? Are they on-site? Can you see them/meet them? Are you willing and able to keep the pig outside should the pig end up getting too large to keep inside and/or if the pig chooses he or she loves being outside more than being with people? What KIND of pig is it? IS IT a Juliana pig??

We absolutely need more pig content! Love her and love the name! I’m even down for pig content on your main channel lol.
Also consider a companion for Winnie. Pigs are herd animals. It is a comfort for them to have a companion. See if you can adopt a pot belly pig from a sanctuary.
Winnie is the cutest! I always know you will give us the real truth. Love this.
😊 thank you ❤
Kristen always wanted a pig but Winnie stole Nick's heart on the first night❤
Yes she did! He knew she was gonna be cool, but he like LOVES here! He took a shower with her this morning. So cute
Dear lord, your a stronger woman than I. I’m worked to death with my toddler and our puppies and your 1&1/2 kids deep with a mini zoo and baby pig! Can’t wait to watch all the adventures!
HAHA I lose my shit a few times a week. I just try to do it privately. In truth, this
She's precious!
I am not sure what kind of house plants you have but my potbellied got really sick from eating my daughter's house plants!
You look great and most of all you look so happy! Congrats on the new edition to your family! Pigs are amazing sentient 4 legged beings! Your baby is so cute and getting so big!
Do you still have your ferrets?
Love the name and all the piggy hubby snuggles.
She does love to snuggle! She's definitely a people pig!
Dont know who's cutest baby, piggy or Nick! Just adorable!
hahah
She’s so cute! I have a mini pig that’s about 8. She was real messy with litter so we bell trained her. She rings a Bell by the door and goes out in the yard with our pups.
Doesn't your yard smell of poop
Winnie is precious ! I got my first Juliana “Gerty” 3 years ago and her colors are similar to Winnie’s, Gerty’s face looks just like a koala bear ! She is the most gentle and loving pig, always giving snout kisses !! 🐽
I raised her in the house the first 6 months with cats and dogs and she lives all of them ! What a beautiful experience for that beautiful baby girl of yours !❤
Enjoy every minute of Winnie, she will touch your life more then you know !
Ultimately pigs are herd animals. (Highly intelligent herd animals)
Every member of the family. (Dogs cats kids ) will be sorted by the pig into an order.
As such they will constantly try to move up the pecking order.
Kids and animals will be seen as siblings and will try to set themselves above the pack.
You and hubby will be alpha and beta. And pig will occasionally try to take the alpha spot.
You have to be firm
Pigs will bond to one member of the family. Generally the alpha.
Just saying as a pig owner.
Be watchful of kids and pigs interaction. Don't let em go unattended.
Just fyi
Any update. How is she doing?
Omg so happy for you! Winnie is def a little human soul and the hubby loves her 🥹
I own pugs so love piggies 🐷 😂❤
Awe yeah isn’t she cool?! How many pigs do you have? Do you keep them inside? Any advice on things to keep them entertained? ❤
Winnie is so cute and love the name 🩷
I just love all the animals and your sweet family!
awe thank you!
I used to joke I’d name a baby girl Winifred Penelope and call her Winnie Penny 😂. Winnie is precious!! So cute.
hahah!
Love the pig and don’t mean to be a downer but wish you could’ve taken the Great Pyrenees that was all matted up!! Poor thing!! :(
so cute 🐈
I just got my first baby pig. She is awesome. She came from a farm but isn’t as easy to handle as yours.
also, you helped me to switch to cruelty-free brands. xx
First time see a pig who let her pick up and hold in arms - no squealing or trying to run away.
I love that top! Where did u get that from?
I’m so jealous! Piglets are one of my weaknesses. What a cute lil lady! 🥹🖤
She's pretty cute!!
Wow 🤩
Really cute pig ❤ 🐷
Winnie is such a cutie :) I always get excited when you upload a vid on your animal channel (I've been subscribed to your main channel and this one for 10+ years). Always fascinating to learn about different species. I am a cat owner so I would love to see a video about your cats ( even if I am biased ;) )
winnie is too cute !! 😍😭
Omg this video was awesome ❤❤. She's adorable!!!!!
😍 ❤️ 💖 💕 🐷🐖🐽
Winnie is sooo cute..I love her name! Think Nick is just a wee bit in love??? Lol. I love It! So wonderful you found someone who loves animals as much as you!❤
It is so cute!! He’s such a big Winnie fan! He took a shower with her this morning 😂❤ she’s so clean now!!
Where are the baby’s shoes!?
Whuts on youer neck?
Winnie is adorable❤ Also THANK YOU for the ending, showing what it really looks like the have certain animals so people know that they take a lot of work, sure they are cute but many can also be a bit messy which means more cleaning up, and sadly people don't talk or show that part, and when later people get certain animals thinking it will be easy, not messy and doesn't take a lot of work, the animal most off the time end up with a bad life or care.
She is cute! Yeah I think I will do more videos about the care like I did with my ferrets and rabbits, cause they can be an overwhelming amount of work in general and then possible even MORE work depending on the pig's personality and needs!
@@KristenLeanneVlog yes please do! People need to know more about animal care, especially since a lot of people think mini pigs, stay really tiny and are easy to care for. Like micro pigs, while not realizing that they are so small because they don't get enough food so they don't grow. Also i would love to see more videos of Winnie because she is so adorable 😍 💕
@@DaniqueKorf Yes amen. I just added a disclaimer at the top of this video about that and size and BREED of pig. Mini pig is not a breed... just like "teacup yorkie" for example isn't a breed. Unfortunately people don't tend to do their research and they just do something based off a knee jerk reaction without caring that these are REAL living animals who deserve the best and they deserve an owner who is ready for whatever happens with their size or attitude.
Love mommies hand tats.
Please remember, she is going to be 100-200 pounds when fully grown, and DENSE. Piggies are dense. Firm, round, and fully packed. Not like a dog. Maybe like the more sinewy cats, but much bigger. Make sure you learn how to trim her hooves and tusks, or find a Farrier who understands pigs. Also rip out the AstroTurf and grow a real pasture for her.
Cute piglet but I was really shocked by the fur of the dog 😮 They need to brush there dog
Love the video and keep up the great work Kristen
Soooo cute❤❤
So sweet. ❤ I adopted a little senior cat and named her Winnie; same markings too. Absolutely precious.
Also those pregnancy sniffles lol ❤
I m really happy for you guys she is so sweet ❤️😍
You're so sweet to get your husband a piggy! She is the cutest. What is the name of the breeder that you got her from?
OINKY!!!! 🐽🐷🐷💕🤍
I so want one
Winnie is DARLING! Even her name suits her :)
Thank you! She’s adorable
@@KristenLeanneVlog
Who gets a piglet AND does a remodel bedding pregnant ?? 😂😂😂😂 you must love stress 😂😂😂😂so so cute. I hope it all
Works out. You do know Harlow is going to tear all the things apart and mess with her stuff. !! That giggle is so cute (Harleta’s) ❤
Haha I know I’m so crazy. 😂 but if not now, I’d have to wait years til the kiddos are older ❤
Treat her like you would your kids. At boundaries. Let her know you are the parents. Don't allow her to get away with bad behavior. I have an indoor pig named Ollie. He's fully potty trained, 4 years old. Never give your pig any meat... it changes their brain chemistry and makes them aggressive. Horse treats are great and cheap snacks... & no meat. Give her weekly baths to get used to water, and file/ trim hoofs weekly.. also to get used to it. Get her fixed to avoid attitude issues... as soon as possible. In the winter, a kiddie pool filled with bounce house balls is a life savor. Air popped popcorn is a healthy snack. We have also found that people food can make them highly aggressive.
She will push you the 1st year to see if she is the boss. 95% of pigs are surrendered in the 1st year because their owners don't set firm boundaries. If she's being bad, put her on a time out. Don't hit her.... but treating her like her momma (grab her ear) works wonders to get her attention quick. It's better to train her when she's little, then try when she's 115lbs and trying to run your house
Beautiful family! True Holy Spirit.
So adorable, so how big will she get?
They gain roughly 20 pounds per year. At year 5, 100lb. At year 10, expect around 200lb.
You're incorrect Toby. She is a Juliana pig... they tend to get to about 50lbs. So please check your info before dropping false information here.
This person Toby is incorrect. Winnie is a Juliana pig. Juliana pigs tend to get around 50lbs full grown. Pigs don't just keep growing and growing like this person is claiming. If you are feeding them too much, or incorrectly or things they should not be eating that can happen. However, I have YET to see a juliana pig reach 200lbs..... a "mini pig" isn't a real breed of pig, just like a "teacup" yorkie for instance is not a real thing. It's a descriptive word to describe how large they THINK the animal will be, based on the breed and the animals they bred IE how large the parents are. There are people out there trying to pass off baby pigs of another breed as "mini pigs" and people buy them without knowing what they're doing and without ever seeing the parents are asking the right questions and they end up with a giant farm hog.
Hopefully yours will be different than the ones around here. Generally, they just stay that small if you underfeed them.
@@Sylentwulf Again - that's just not accurate information you're spreading. I'm guessing you do not have juliana pigs "around" there if you have a pig that's gaining size like that every single year, that's NOT a thing unless you're overfeeding. I have never once seen a juliana pig that's 200 pounds. Winnie's parents are both under 60lbs, the likelihood of winnie being over even 70lbs is highly highly unlikely. IF for some freak reason she was that large, I have considered all aspects and that's something we're prepared to handle. But to come on here and tell someone who's asking (they asked me btw - not you) that my pig is going to be 200+lbs full grown is not accurate, not true and based on zero facts and that random number you typed out is 150 pounds MORE than the average size of a Juliana pig.
Just wondering why winnie isnt outside, since she was outside at her other home, Winnie is so cute,
Because she is a house pig... and does go outside daily. If she wants to live outside, we'll make that happen.
Yes it’s a thing
😍😍😍😍😍😍
How cute! May God bless you and your beautiful family! Jesus saves!
I have a mini pig too!!!! Her name is Glitter and she is 4❤
Winnie 😍😍😍
Winnie!! She is soo cute! I’m convincing my husband to get a house pig now haha
Haha 😂 I’m all for it as long as you know what you’re getting into!
You don't think k that pig could push that fence out
Mini until its 350 lbs of hog
Mini pigs dont really exist though, do they?
Nope that "mini" pig is going to grow up to be an adult pig 75-100 pounds
That's not correct actually. This is a julianna pig... they are typically about 50lbs. Depends on the parents. Other types of pigs, pot belly etc get larger.
This is a Juliana pig - they typically get to about 50lbs. It can change based on how large their parents are etc.
YAY! I finally got to watch this! She is so sweet! I love piggy eyes and their lashes~ They just look so darling ❤ I was saying to you how a grated litterbox will help (especially since you are using wood-based pellets. Piggies are "clean" as long as you keep up the daily cleaning chores (definitely like rabbits in that sense). How's the rooting? or flipping over water bowls? Lol!! That was something that happens too as they start to explore their space and find toys out of everything! Especially fluffy beds like she has~ The pigs I would care for would root so much on their fluffy beds until the seams busted open and then the REAL fun began!! Truly pigs are like little toddlers hahaha!! But I love your little "real life" addition to the vlog at the end. It's a big responsibility to own more exotic pets... shouldn't EVER be an impulse buy!!! Anywho~ I love little Winnie!! Can't wait to see more on her~
This ❤ is what we need now. Its refreshing and I feel so much joy. Thanks 🎉
that poor dog ..all matted and dirty..seeing the condition of that dog would be a deal breaker for me..look at other videos of guardian dogs..I haven't seen any look as gross as thos poor dog
there outdoor dogs. They probably don’t like being inside. And they could care less.
@@PotatoSs18 yea I get that the owners dont care..but being that matted hurts the dog..it pulls on their skin and causes sores then infections
@@PotatoSs18 I have an 11.9 acre farm, and there is NO excuse for these dogs to be in that condition. Livestock guardian dogs still need bathing and grooming. That's just pure laziness that they got in that condition
@@tiggercampbell6198I really rope you don’t own a dog poor things.
I actually kinda thought it was really adorable, wagging it's tail, but yea I must agree with you that you feel bad it's all dirty, I hope they are fine and clean now
That pig is gonna get huge. That’s a baby mini pig??? Anything for content right???
You clearly don't know much about pics. lol... She's a Juliana pig. The biggest they *usually* get is 50lbs. Go educate yourself before leaving silly comments.... also, not sure if you saw the parents in this video, but they're both below 60 lbs 😂
@@KristenLeanneVlog You’re completely right. Thanks for the education!!! Xoxoxo
I just realized this is a year old lol
guys go vegan for this little animals 😇
Breeders should just drop the word “mini” and go by the breed name. “Juliana pet pig” for example. Mini is inaccurate and misleading.
God that poor Great Pyrenees at the place you went to. So so so matted, wish I could help her
Yeah she is pretty matted, the dog lives outside with them and protects them. So I guess they don't shave her?!
Even outside dogs need their coats well taken care of. The coat wont even protect the dog properly against bad weather if it gets all fucked up.. And can cause all sorts of issues.
No such thing as a mini pig
I’m glad I don’t eat pork…precious piggy
Nothing about a throat tattoo is appealing to me. Someone who has no tattoos is more of an individual these days.
Omg the matts on that poor dog. So neglected. It causes so much pain for them 😡😠
There's no such thing as a mini pig. They're newborn piglets and are ripped away from their mums. Pigs shouldn't be inside and without other pigs. There are literally hundreds of neglected, abused and sick pigs due to the teacup/mini pig fiasco. You're making it worse by having her in your videos. It's so sad.
Oh, yay another person who picks up a ““ mini pig“ not understanding that there’s genetically no such thing as a mini pig. There are so many pigs that need homes because people go and buy or adopt them thinking that they are going to stay tiny there are no specific breeds of pig that stay small, any “mini pig” from any line or litter can grow to ginormous sizes
LOL you're WRONG in that you think I think a "mini pig" is a breed. You're WRONG that you think I believe our pig will 100% stay small. You're right, there is no breed "mini pig" they are juliana pigs that are bred to be small (by breeding two smaller adults) but they could end up being much larger than their parents, just like dogs... or cats.... or humans or literally any animal for that matter. All you can go off of his how large their parents are and hope for the size you want. But no, juliana pigs really are never "ginormous", generally speaking they're around 50lbs (my golden is larger than that). I live on 3 acres... if she's large and wants to be outside, that's what we'll do. I'm more thank equipped phsycailly and financially to handle whatever happens with our pig. Your attitude sucks man. You're obviously ignorant to my knowledge of the subject and clearly know nothing about me. It's ironic to me that people with shitty attitudes like yourself think people will respect what you have to say or give two shits about what you have to say when you speak to people the way you do. Do better.
