Is it the irritation of vagus nerve or jugular vein responsible for increased blood pressure?
I tossed out My pillow and got a softer pillow started eating more fiber had o last week now its fixed whatever my problem was. Being constipated is the worst.
This one had some very good information. I wish I was suffering 10 years from now, instead of now, because I believe we are just at the beginning of understanding regenerative medicine. This was very informative. More study of the vagus nerve will help in the future also. Thank you Dr C for doing these talks.
I've been having neck and shoulders issues for a couple of yers and despite seeing a chiro often it keeps coming back and nobody had made the connection. But the past few days I have come to the realisation that because of repeated traumas and consstantly being in flight or fight for years has likely messed up my vagus nerve. I came to thiss conclusion by tying in the fact that 3-4 years ago I discovered I also have episodes of extremely high blood pressure and my resting heart rate is really high: all this despite being a very healthy person, active and that works out. My mind has honestly been blown coming to this conclusion!
I have experience the same symtoms.
Will you please talk about the Vegas nerve and gastroparesis
Dr Timmerman actually has additional training & I think before you trash him, you should look into him more thoroughly.
I wish insurance would start covering some of the treatments that are out there. Im a complete mess. I have EDS so I suspect CCI. Everything from dripping sweats, gastroparesos, central apnea, burning tongue, Tinitus, pain, numbness, loss of ability to make a fist in my left pinkie and ring finger (i have problems lower down too) POTS, blurred vision, runny nose, urinary retention, severe headaches, bronchial spasms, high resting pulse, etc. My nervous system is a complete mess. I do have inflammation from osteoarthritis from my hEDS. My body is absolutely full of arthritis. At last check my inflammation markers weren't bad though, oddly. Despite obvious arthritis, with nodules even.
you put that together very nicely, thank you
I suspect I have a vagus nerve issue. Started out as burning in my shoulder then transferred to my spine where I felt pulling and squeezing sensations along the full length. It later became squeezing in my throat which interfered greatly with my ability to swallow. Swallowing became hard and there were what felt like clicking and crunching sensations however this later resolved on its own. This all occurred in the span of a few months and while it was happening it felt as if my body was building up pressure from the inside as if it was tightening itself. One day I woke up, felt a pop in my back and all that tension shot up into my neck on the right side and now I have constant pressure on both sides of my neck pressing into my skull. An added problem is it feels as if my chest is now constantly compressed, my blood pressure is always high, and my heart palpitates in weird ways, as if it sometimes forgets how to beat properly or doesn’t have enough space to beat fully. I’m 25 years old and this has more or less disabled me. I can’t work, I can’t workout, and I have constant pressure in my skull which makes it very difficult to think clearly or focus, which greatly interferes with my ability to socialize. I also feel as if I cannot relax anymore. It’s as if my body is constantly in fight or flight mode with an underlying current of stress. I can’t even cry properly because the muscles don’t relax enough to let me. The onset of this problem was sudden and rapid.
Does this sound like it could be related to the vagus nerve?
I’m very depressed and suicidal now as a result. My quality of life has been drastically reduced and the doctors can’t seem to figure out what the hell happened to me.
Try doing nervous system/somatic work… psychological and emotional extreme abuse and chronic stress can also cause all of this. It does help. I wish I had known 20 years ago. Please try it 💜
Hang in there, it could have something to do with the vagus nerve compression, I'm dealing with these symptoms as well and have confirmed via ultrasound that my IJVs and vagus nerves on both sides are compressed.
Wow this is me as well. Every doctor I've seen thinks I'm nuts or an anxiety case. Plenty of ER visits.
@bogusshmogus1670 how are you doing? this feels very similar to what I am experiencing
@@ShaggyDave27 I’m not doing great but I have a series of doctors appointments lined up to try and figure out the issue however so far nobody has found a solution
Chris What is the best test/scan to find if vagus nerve pinched or damaged? I started to have pins and needles in my stomach and tongue simultaneously after ovarian surgery 18 years ago. I am not living i am existing. Multiple doctors no one can help me. My inflammation markers are all through the roof. But pins and needles for 24 hrs for 18 years is killing me. What Dr, scan, procedure can you recommend. Please 🙏
How long is too long to reverse the damage?
Can compression of the vagus nerve cause gut issues - IBD?
Absolutely, vegas nerve issues are the root cause of so many problems
@@breakinfree the root cause is something causing the inflamed vagus nerve to be thickened and irritated. mostly EBV
The vagus nerve connect the brain and body - most important.
I have Chronic pain right on the bone at T4 on my spine. It is very tender and has been like that for 7 years. It gets worse when I am flaring up. My current diagnosis’ are Fabry Disease, mast cell disorder, crohns, gastroparesis, and FND. I feel like the inflammation at T4 is the root to all of my issues and I believe it is vegal nerve inflammation possible from mast cells. I’ve had multiple MRI’s of that location that show nothing. I have videos on my channel that show the episodes I have.
I have trigeminal neuralgia on my left side of my face. I have no idea why or what.. I am wondering if there could be a connection to my neck. I have a pain in left shoulder at times that will shoot into my face.. I am suppose to see a chiropractor but have been putting it off due to fear of the unknown.
I have "lived experience", and who hasn't? On a journey, aged 72.
Im guessing if you are still in intermittent symptoms, you have more chance of it being reversible
What about pro resolving mediators?
I need help I’m goin threw this serious
