I met Paul Giamatti in a bookshop in London and he was the sweetest, kindest man. He is so underappreciated.
Due to this shows all my inner monologues have now Chuck Rhoades impression and they are just EPIC
Yeah man, this guy's talent & skills are superb
Hes literally famous what do you people think is actually Appreciated? The Queen?
he's the Antichrist
I get that. I do. He's one of my favourite actors.
Paul Giamatti is a very underrated actor with an amazing career path. Going from Big Fat Liar to Shakespeare & period dramas. He's one of the few people who has the best redemption.
He's not underrated. He is a very famous and acclaimed actor.
Preach!
I don't consider him underrated.... Otherwise he wouldn't have the career he has...def one of my top fav actors
Hangover 2
Agreed
I was lucky enough to work with Paul for a month on the film _American Splendor_ many years ago.
The way he comes across in this interview is exactly what he's like in real life. Funny. Intelligent. An absolute gentleman. He actually gave me a copy of what became one of my favorite books, "A Voyage to Arcturus" by David Lindsay.
very cool
"SIDEWAYS", one of my top 5 favorite movies! Paul is truly a gifted actor. Really enjoy his work.
Great movie.
John Adams on HBO was so tremendous! I wish i could thank Paul and the cast in person.
I read David McCullough's book... Great. The HBO screenplay... Unbelievably fantastic! Such a great cast. Paul was phenomenal...
I love Paul's distinctive, flexible speaking voice. The lower registers sound like a soft kitten's purr or a menacing growl. When he chooses,he can raise his voice and growl like a lion.
I will be forever terrified whenever Paul Giamatti acts angry in his movie roles. Mad Respects
Billions is amazing, he’s so evil in it
@@whoaskedforthispodcast6500 he’s a stone cold killer
Paul "Pinot Noir" Giamatti is simply Amazing. And, as you have indicated, nobody "Blows His Stack" better than Paul.
Has Paul Giamatti ever thought about playing Billy Joel in a biopic? Because he really does look like him and I think he would act his ass off if given the chance.
You may be right.
He may be crazy
OH MY GOD YEEEESSSSSS 😻
Bogavonte but he’s just the kind of lunatic we’re looking for!!
He looks like him, but frankly he's more interesting than Billy Joel. Not a compelling story.
Lol his acting in John Adam's was amazing. Getting into the American spirit.
I met him at the museum of natural history. He was so nice to me. Such a great talent in duets and sideways.
I do admit he has an amazing voice, I would love to listen to an audiobook by him.
That would be just awesome.
One of my favorite actors. Never seen him play a bad part no matter how big or small. He killed it in “Cinderella Man”, “Private Parts” and “American Splendor”.
Yes!!! Cinderella man was a wonderful movie. Paul was great, so was Russel Crowe and Rene Zellwiger.
Who remembers him painted blue?
James Patton yes!
Screaming his ass off in front of the mirror hahaha
We shall never forget.
what's better is that even though that movie was just a kinda small movie, he acted the F out of his role and I really like that
hell yeah marty wolf
Only celebrity I've met. Ran into him at a art showing. Nice guy
One of my favorite actors of all time. Brilliant in Cinderella Man.
I haven’t watched that movie, is it good ?
@@BReWeDKnOwLeDGe It's outstanding. Russell Crowe as James J Braddock, the boxer who made the most improbable of comebacks during the Great Depression.
You have to see him in The Illusionist. That voice of his is perfect for the low-key historical drama/romance set in late 1800s Vienna.
@@BReWeDKnOwLeDGeCinderella Man one of the best movies ever made. The fact it's a true story makes it even better. The life story of boxing champion James J. Braddock. I don't really follow boxing, but if you like stories about triumph in the face of serious adversity, it a wonderful film.
He looks like Garfield if he was human
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's like a solid compliment
Keonne Samuel 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That’s a really weird thing to say. I can’t figure it out either, but he really channels garfield for some strange reason
When he laughs, his face has the sweetest expression.
So underrated I love Paul Giamatti he’s the best!
John Adams vs. King George is one of my favorite scenes of all time.
Same. It was profound.
He was underrated in Duets
What an easy and laid-back interview to watch. I would watch an interview of him like this for at least a movie length amount of time. Just chill, normal. I know most people discuss what they are going to say when they sit across from the host and they pretty much practice it but this is a very easy flow.
Great actor, great guy.
I saw Mr. Giamatti at the LAX n went up to him asking if I could have a picture, he said yes only if I don’t use a filter 🤣
True dude!
“They told me about a little blue car. But they didn’t say anything about a little blue man.” HAHA
Sideways and American Splendor are unforgettable performances.
" I can do a lot of impressions. Here, listen to my Jerry Seinfeld impression that I do every chance I get."
It's not even a good Seinfeld.
@@emz2969 And Jimmy’s not a good anything.
He was great in Sideways! Love all his work!
Paul G is a stand up guy I think, very very talented actor and person. I have always enjoyed his work.
Loved him as John Adams, such a great actor
So good in Barney's Version. That scene when his ex-wife asks him if they can finally be friends and he says, 'never'.
Damn, that gets me.
I met Paul Giamatti and he is a chill guy!
I adore Paul Giamatti! Such talent.
Favorite actor, hands down!
Paul "Merlot" Giamatti is Terrific ! Nobody Explodes like him. His line in Private Parts "Howard Stern can Kiss My Ass in Hell" is on of the greatest lines in cinema. Delivery is Outrageous !! If Seinfeld were to be restarted for a season Paul would be the perfect Frank Costanza. The guy is remarkable.
The lady in the water and shoot em up. His best roles.
Man killed it in John Adams, even his cameo in Hangover 2 left an impression.
I just love, love, love PG. My absolute favourite actor, ever!
One of My All-time Favorite Actors! If you have never seen the movie Sideways you must!
I loveeee him. every since big momma’s house and big fat liar. ICONIC movies
I love his voice too.. with his famous love of SciFi, he should do some audiobooks.
I love his beautiful narration of Sex Lies and Butterflies an episode of PBS' s Nature which aired earlier this year.
He did A Scanner Darkly by Phillip K. Dick. I heard the whole thing, was awesome.
I absolutely love this guy since "Cinderella man"
Damn I just want to be Paul Edward Valentine Giamatti for one day. That name alone is great enough not to mention he is an extraordinary actor.
Such an excellent actor! He looks so much like his late father, Bart Giamatti.
Paul said "I seriously appreciate that" while his body says "Stay away, don't touch me" :D
this is delightful. taking the piss out of ourselves for a minute.
For a hilarious Paul Giamatti impression, check out James Adomian.
He really has a great look and voice. He's interesting and doesn't have that generic boring leading man thing going on.
Marty wolf
When’s Billions Season 4 coming? I CAN’T WAIT
Paul Giammati is superb as John Adams, especially when he stammered and met King George III. He was excellent!!!
One of the finest actors alive today
He is great in Love & Mercy
Barney's Version. A remotely hidden gem and my favorite movie of all time
Giamatti’s laughter gives me a warm feeling 😂
Fred Claus is an under rated movie. He’s exactly how I always imagined Santa Claus 🎅
Paul Giamatti is the BEST ACTOR EVER
My favorite thing about this guy?
His portrayal of John Adams, our second president.
One of the most brilliantly done miniseries i have ever seen.
Everyone did so well.
But Paul. He knocked out a grand slam with his Independence speech.
"All i want sir, is a COUNTRY.....A FREE.....COUNTRY"
Go buy this thing or stream it whatever, just watch it.
Its very....inspiring. And not just a "lets start a USA chant at the parking lot!" Kinda thing. But its just so well done. You cant help but leave it feeling like while our founding fathers made mistakes. What they wanted for the future... Was truly.
For the best
Im here because of his narration in the netflix originals "Son of Sam"
never realized his first name was "paul" (same as the likes of -paul mccartney, etc.) until seeing this 'list of pauls'..(*only ever focused on his surname "giamatti"
Thespian extraordinaire.
Paul the octopus was a predictor of FIFA Word Cup in South Africa 2010 if I recall correctly
Y'all please don't forget about Pail Giamatti as the inspector in the Illusionist. I thought he was wonderful in that role and really made the move great. I also loved him as Harold Levinson in Downton Abbey. He is a very talented man.
this dude is the goat!!
I love PG
ICON!!!!
In ironclad he almost ripped his vocal cord. Phew.. He is so underrated.. I like his acting a lot.
Matthew Perry reminds me of Paul Giamatti and Paul Giamatti reminds me of Matthew Perry.
Paul was great in the movie John Dies at the End
He should see Frank Caliendo’s impersonation of him
Good god I hate Fallon. Seinfeld is probably one of the easiest impressions that I’ve heard people do but jimmy treats it like it’s his signature
The 1 dislike is St. Paul
My favorite is Duets, when he sings a Little Tenderness. Oh my goodness! I DO get turned on Paul :)
Paul Giamatti magnificent Actor
Paul Giamatti sounds like a real-life Squidward to me. December 14, 2019, 1:57pm
I'd be honored to be a guest impersonator as Paul Giamatti ^^'
Now searching for impressions of Paul Giamatti.
Sideways 2, please.
Mr.giammati's new role is prof.izzy glow from megaman x5
I'm here for the comments
Marty Wolf Pictures, please hold.
I think Paul F. Tompkins is nearing this list.
👥 Thank you.
He sounds like that one scribe angel on supernatural
I would rank Paul as number two behind St.Paul number 1.
The Negotiator, Donnie Brasco
I was waiting for one of them to say St. Paul’s placement on the list was appalling.
This dude was the bad guy in every movie ever
ShellShock except Romeo and Juliet
ShellShock r u stupid?!
XpertRebel95 care to elaborate?
Cinderella man and saving mr banks check em out
Kohl Kenerly I have, they are great movies. My statement was clearly an exaggeration.
When Rhino is more popular than Ant-Man: “This does put a smile on my face”
Someone tell jimmy to just chill a little bit
He can't. He's a puppet and has to perform or loses his job
The Rhino
BABY FOOD, FOR LUNCH!
“HA HA HAAAAH THE SPIDER-MAN!
My Top 3 Paul Giamatti's Best Roles
1st Rhino/Aleksei Sytsevich
2nd Academy Teacher
3rd Stan Beals
Number 1 has to be John Adams
Who is John Adams
John Adams Founding Father. Miniseries. Starring Paul Giamatti
I contest this order...you didn't have the Inspector from the Illusionist or the boxing manager from Cinderella Man. Both were stellar performances.
Looking more and more like his father.
Hey, it's Harry Tjarks.
He's typecast as shady record producers.
How the heck is Pogba on that list and not Paul Scholes?
I hear you.. but man like Scholes was low-key and just focused on his work.. yeah and they didn't have social media back then which is where Pogba spends most of his time..
Paycheck
Ten years ago, this guy seemed like the next big success but now I hardly hear about him.
"I think number 5 is perfect for you" WTF? what kind of comment is that? Lol
