1) The key of this battle is your Fighting Stance ( r1) with DOD Style and your skill with tiger drop because you must kill them very quickly, especially during the second phase. Another tips: don't RUNNING AWAY or move too much. the idea is to stay at mid range and bait attacks in order to perform a tiger drop against jingu's lieutenants, As soon as your heat hits red you should do some heat actions like sumo slapping or komaki reversal on those lieutenants it does decent damage and you can also avoid some shoots or granades, especially when you start the fight, you'll get a layer of attacks that are almost impossible to avoid with some dodges. 2) During the second phase, unlike the previous phase keep your distance and be sure to roll when you see jingu coming, focus your attacks on jingu's bodyguards, and your ability with tiger drop becomes decisive. Note: one of the most annoyng part is the quick time event, because lieutenants attacks in few seconds, be careful.

Yeah, unfortunately.
i did all the long battles, majima battles ( includes slugger majima) opponents in the coliseum + every boss in the game without tiger drop + 0 Damage, but this battle is very hard without tiger drop. I tried, but every attempt is useless, requires an insane amount of luck and skill as well, you have to hope that jingu doesn't use too much grenades and gunshots during your attacks with rush or brawler, it's crazy.
I'm new to the series and after finishing Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, this fight is the hardest one so far (didn't fight Amon yet). I kinda forgot about this Tiger Drop...just didn't pay much attention to it since my Dragon style felt so slow and lacking and just not really worth using it instead of Brawler, i finally won after dying about 6 times. The sad part about fighting Kyohei is that it kinda makes the final battle feel a bit too easy.
@@apocalypse8818 Late response but Dragon is the best style after fully upgrading it. It's like a combination of all the best parts of the other three.

I did this fight without tiger drop, but only because I wasn't good enough to consistently tiger drop. The fight went about as well as you'd expect.

I can't believe u did this fight No damage..... It took me several tries with so many staminans and toughness Z plus zingu wo so annoying using pistols and bombs but you ended it within 3 minutes ......

I just completed the game on hard and have many complaints with the way they balanced it. This fight was a complete chore due to the barrage of bullets anytime I decided to attack, not to mention the grenades that can magically appear behind Jingu when he throws them forward.
I had no Tiger Drop, but even if I did, Idk how they were so passive for your fight compared to mine
Luck is important. but they are passive, because I move in the right way. The moviments and Fighting Stance are the key in this fight.
I know exactly when to move in all 2 phases and their weak points, If I had wrong positioning and movements, I would have been hit by grenades and bullets, it's all "studied."
Without tiger drop, you are targeted by the shots and grenades.
In fact, it's the only boss battle where I used the tiger drop in the game.

I couldn’t beat these guys on attempt, was properly equipped and kinda noobish at the game, they kicked my ass fun shots and grenades HELL NO. And then they got up up again when I wrecked them with weapons (Second day weapons and guns) I was OH HELL NO THIS IS SOME GRADE A BS. I somehow won the fight. Then the true final boss appeared in my weakened state but somehow he was easier than these 3 douches. Fun final fight when I was full health.
I had to finish both this and and the fight against Nishiki in under an hour since I played this through GeForce NOW.
Most painful couple hours of my life.

Dear People! I would like to announce i did this without Tigerdrop or using DoD in general:
1. I knocked out the pre-heat MIA colonel's with the colorful umbrella weapon or whatever its called.
2. I used the upgrade that allows you to gain heat from evading attacks in rush, i build up heat then i do a simple heat move on Jingu that removes like 1/30th of his healthbar (maybe less)
3. Then used the ol' rush and dash on the colonels.
I used Goemon to deal a shit ton of damage to Jingu with the hand stabbing Heat Action.
DanteDevil12's days are numbered if DSP decides to step back into the game and fight jingu!

I beat Kiwami again yesterday, yep I still hate this boss battle and think it’s the worst one in the series.
Yeah, but For me, if I think in 5 seconds..jingu isn't that bad compared with some fights:
- munakata in yakuza 4, especially without equipment/weapons or lv.20
- Yakuza 5 training - sotaro/sosuke komaki..
- yakuza ishin - 1 vs 3 training against masters.
- yakuza 4 and 5 - saigo training without weapons
And omg the car battle is so hard

It’s funny how I did this fight with Brawler. Still made me want to pull my hair out, but not so much. Plus, it was easy difficulty.
If i didn’t have healables I probably wouldn’t have beaten this. ( I didn’t have dragon style upgrades)

I was warned about this fight but was still amazed by how awful it is, rivalled only by the Komaki duo in 5 and Munakata in 4.
I'm on this battle now and haven't really upgraded my dragon style much at all. Really don't wana spend the time to fully upgrade it just for the last boss or two but it seems I don't have a choice
How to use tiger drop? Learned it but dont know how to use properly
Hold down R1 the entire time, and just as the targeted enemy's attack is about to land, press Triangle.
Anyway, depends a lot on the attack itself, and the enemy by extension. Quick attacks are hard to see and react to ( but still very easy compared with the new engine with 30 fps) so it becomes difficult to counter them. A good approach is to learn an enemy's attack string, and getting the timing down to counter one of the attacks in the string.

i played this on Normal and it felt like they were unloading their guns on me every two seconds, but on legend in new game +, they seemed to barely pull the trigger. I don't understand this boss.

Hey Dante do you think it's possible to no damage the fight without TD or is your use of TD meant to be a statement about not liking the fight enough to no damage it without it as you said often how much you disliked this fight.
I don't like this fight, because the checkpoint system sucks and is luck based in most of the situations and i hate it. But it's absolutely possible, when i recorded the video I didn't know how to attack them without tiger drop, 0 ideas ( i did this video in 2017, now 2021) But i've seen a player in bilibili.com ( chinese website) and i've seen his strategy and from whan i've seen, the strategy is good an i can do it. i didn't play kiwami 1 from the yakuza 6 release in europe, 3 years ago, if i go back to kiwami 1 one day (although i'm not very sure, because after yakuza 5 remastered and some old videos, i wanted to retire) i'll do it.
@@DanteDevil12 Ok just beat this bastard yesterday. He was completely infuriating. Some how i did next to no damage with that slap heat move despite being at full red heat and fully upgraded. My frustration with Jingu honestly ruined the final boss for me as all i could think was if i don't kill him hare i'll have to go though that agin. i did say some funny stuff though. "How meany grenades do you have in that coat, who the fuck do you think you are the merchant from RE4!"
Hare's something you might not know most Yakuza bosses are actually invincible (My examples are from Kiwami 1 and 0 ) until a certain event triggers that then renders them killable typically a QTE but sadly this is true of Jingu and the event that must happen to allow his death is the revival of his men.

Do you mean this 2:16 kiwami heat action, right? the reason why it's very powerful is because I did a full combo with the rush style completely. Also devileon did the same thing, but he did the full combo too early, but the damage is still good. The power of heat actions double after charge attacks. It's somewhere on the skill wheel i think. It works for rush style charge kick and dod style charged finishers even if you didn't land the charge attack on anyone. Don't know about beast style charge attack cuz i never tried.

The differences is the damage output from the enemies and stop.
@@DanteDevil12 Yeah there is a lot of differences, Jingu pretty much shot me like twice in the whole fight.
Unfortunately, This kind of things does not depend on the difficulty ( except easy) but on the behavior of the AI, there are comments from people who have had more problems against him on normal difficulty than legend or hard difficulty.
i saw video of a chinese guy who did it without tiger drops where jingu was inactive for 90 % of the fight on legend, it's a matter of luck and positioning

Are you sure this is on hard? Because when I played this yesterday they kept shooting me constantly and Jingu was throwing bombs whenever he could. It was very annoying.
DanteDevil12 is the only player in the world that managed to do a full boss no-damage run with many handicaps. Moreover, in this game and Yakuza 6 he did it without Tiger Drop and no items along with a stylish gameplay. What about all the long battles with no damage? He always shows his stats and the game difficulty! Just look at 1:52 mark, it clearly shows "Difficulty: HARD".
Is legend even possible?
Yes,You just have to be patient about the no checkpoint feature, but Legend and Hard are the same in terms of Hp and IA in this series after yakuza 3, with exception of yakuza 7. The only differences are QTE more faster in few fights ( majima qte for example) and the damage from the same heat actions after 2 times and of course the damage from enemies x4, but doesn't matter in my case .

I first beat this boss without most of the dragon style skills because Majima never appeared past chapter 4 for me (except at the story mark near the end in shangri-la). I beat him once and the game decided it was a good time to crash...
I did it again, thankfully I somehow managed to beat them by doing a single quick style punch, then running away. Took like 20 minutes but I did it. This game has severe balancing issues...

but if it wasn't for the Staminan Royales I bought beforehand, (I haven't even unlocked tiger drop) and dodging around at rush style makes this fight stupidly long.
