I am Japanese and a fan of the Motorstorm series. I was very sad about the earthquake, but at the same time I was sad that MotorStorm Apocalypse was cancelled in Japan. I keep hoping for a sequel or remake of MotorStorm. It was the most exciting racing game I have ever played.
What I loved about motorstorm is the vehicle types. Want some speed, go with a bike. Wanna steamroll the opposition, big boy trucks and you have buggies, supercars and racing trucks in between.
Finally... for the first time ever, I got this game yesterday, and my dad bought this game, so then I can finally play this game after 12 years of havingn't played it in my life 🥺
There is a Kart racer featuring lots of classic PS characters in development for PS5 launch by a new studio based in London. Could be some Motorstorm people from Evolution they have relocated. They relocated Evolution staff who had VR pitches at Evolution to a new created studio (North West Studio changed to Manchester Studio who focus on AAA PSVR games) so I wouldn't be surprised if Sony cleaned their last problematic acquired studios in exchange to create new studios. Manchester, Syphon Filter studio and a Kart racer studio. Guerrilla Cambridge got closed for Syphon Filter studio is one of the reasons. These new studios might have a mix of people from closed studios and new people. There are lots of talents in UK from Rocksteady and Rockstar North for example.

About Split/Second disagree, Blur should be compared with WipeOut and another Mario Kart clones But I agree it's a tragedy that Sony waved Evolution Studios😢
Because Paul Rutschkynsky sucks and wanted to make a realistic team based racing game. He was not even game director of Motorstorm it was other people like Matt Southern who directed this game. Родился в середине нулевых, и в свое время игру я заценил по полной. Я помню как мог несколько часов задрачивать мост в никуда чтоб тупо еще раз посмотреть как падает маяк :D Этой игре нужен качественный ремейк

Качественный ремейк в моем понимании это не тупо апгрейд графики и подгон под новые тех. требования. В идеале нужен доп. контент: новые карты, больше возможностей для тюнинга или новый режим. Ну и ради всего светого сделать заставки в сюжетом режиме более качественными, персонажи сами по себе крутые, концепция сюжета тоже, но графическая состовляющая очень далека от идеала. Но увы, слишком много звезд должно сойтись чтобы об этом вообще когда нибудь зашла речь, ибо об апокалипсисе речь заходит по четвергам, да и то если кислотный дождь пойдет.

After all these years, still looks fantastic.
Childhood game. Everything was so terrifying when I was a kid but still enjoyable hopefully they remaster it. Loved to soundtrack also.
