These houses are located in a small isolated village, but only about 2km from the center of the village of Alvaiázere, where you can find everything you need for your daily life, such as a Health Center, Pharmacy, Supermarkets, Banks, Restaurants , cafes etc. As well as quick and easy road connections to all directions in Portugal.

Good luck in selling this for 59000 euros. Why even waste your valuable time listing this? I know you don't make the prices, its the seller, but you should advise them on a realistic price and if they say " no ", you refuse to list it for them. In most countries the Real Estate Agencies, will refuse a listing that is totally over priced like this. Is there a diamond or gold mine underground, lol

@@paulacarvalho1143 let someone else list it .. .. it will never sell. If I was an agent, I would concentrate on quality listing and not quantity. I would want to be known as an agent with quality listing and get a good reputation for that. That just my observation. I will be looking to buy something there in about 18 months or so and I am watching a few agents like yourself and I will be contacting probably the best 3.

This one has captured my imagination, even the surroundings of this home (ok, ruin) are exactly the sort of charming village I dream of, right down to the calçada Portuguesa and the cork oaks. It has the potential to become a stunning restoration of a charming Portuguese village home - with several bucket loads of money thrown at it.
With my imaginary bucket loads of cash, I would hire a crew of master Portuguese craftsmen to do a complete restoration. I'd completely gut it, saving only the stone walls and the antique wooden features (beams, rafters, doors, windows, shutters - and have them treated and refitted, the windows being fitted with double glazing). There would be a ceremonial banishment of all (hideous) tijolo and cement blocks - those master stone masons would be recreating stone walls in their place.
My summer kitchen would have a stone bread oven, while the "best" kitchen would have beautiful antique Portuguese tiles, and lace curtains... ahhh... life is wonderful when one has unlimited (imaginary) means.
All that being said, I do agree the asking price seems a little steep for such a small, completely unlivable property.

Some of the houses, does not have a right place for it, or even better they have so nice land or landscape, that you will not want to spend any time inside.
