2 Thessalonians KJV
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
I love your clarifications
Just in your opening alone... Every time I think I have my mind wrapped around the Bible, or a chapter, or even a verse, suddenly the floor falls away and/or the roof lifts off and I'm stunned by the complexity and depth that confronts me.
I'm never daunted by the prospect of what is left to do and you think by now I wouldn't be surprised, but I am. I ignored early calls and I didn't begin until 7-8yrs ago to seriously study with consistency and joy. Even though I hardly ever missed Dr. Gene back in the day.
Anyway I'm missing what's being said....

Another consideration for the words withholdeth and letteth: The what that withholdeth is the dispensation of grace. This is found in Ephesians 3:2-5. The he that letteth is the body of Christ. This is the one new man found in Ephesians 2:15. The anti- christ can"t be revealed until the dispensation of grace ends and the body of Christ is taken out in the rapture. I love your study.

Stop using your time to explain yourself. The mantle was passed to you. Doesnt matter who likes it or not.it is now your responsibility to teach Gods word. As long as you keep it Gods house then let the scoffers scoff.remember that to whom much is given much is required. It is now your responsability to teach truth and the Bible is a living word which means there has to be growth. Keep growing and Keep learning so that you can keep teaching. Dont let people put u in a bondage that u have already been delivered from. Sincerly i pray for your strength and comfort. Be blessed and stay blessed.
Maybe that even if the church is removed who obviously had the Holy Spirit in their hearts, does not mean that all of the Holy Spirit is removed, just those who had it with them. But the Holy Spirit would be similar to the characteristics of God himself. Still here, there and everywhere all the time. Because even the 144K are sealed with that same spirit.?
The Holy Spirit is not controlled by those who have it but quite the opposite.!
The church is commissioned to resist evil at all times and preach the gospel.
How else can the whole world worship the beast if the church is gone.?

I am enjoying watching this Video and enjoy the Humbleness that you have to allow Gods Word to speak, and to be challenged and especially your interest in the Greek.
I noticed that you kept referring to The Day of The Lord as though Lord was written in the Verses of 2 Thessalonians 2.
I noticed that the Greek Word "Christos" is used by Paul which is not translated as Lord!!
Is the Day of Christ that Day when Jesus will Come and be Revealed?
Do you believe that the Day of Christ is the Same as the Day of the Lord or do you believe that they are different?
Could you please respond!
I am also glad that you did not twist the word Apostasy as some are today making it seem as though the Apostasia is simply the Departure/Rapture as some are Teaching today!
I cannot wait to keep watching more of these Videos digging into Gods Word!

I have no idea if you will see this, since you wrote years ago. But I have studied the Bible, and I love the book of Revelation. Much has been written about what will happen at the "end of the age" by the Apostle Paul in the Books of Thessalonians. The end of the age is about all of those who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal savior are taken to heaven in the twinkly of an eye, the Rapture, this is before the tribulation of the world, the ones who are left on earth. The trib. is for 7 years and then Christ will return to the earth and satan will be thrown into a pit for 100 years. Those of us that have been in heaven and those who have received Christ as their savior during that 7 years will rule the earth with Jesus on a thrown in Jerusalem. then satan will be let loose and those who have followed him during the 1000 years will all go with satan to hell. NO ONE has to go to hell because Jesus died for our sins and if we ask for forgiveness, Jesus gives it freely. No works or anything else will get us to heave only by accepting Jesus as our Savior.
Bible study shou6 be using the basic bible hermeneutic principles.
Most IF not all the Christian community DON'T allow the original audience relevance, time statements, historical context, cultural heritage and idiomatic expression to get the proper meaning of the word of God BUT they use today's headlines and modern day western mindset to interpret the bible.
EVERYONE believes in futurism. I did as well until I read Josephus and realised he was talking about Matthew 24 being fulfilled before his eyes. Read the words of Jesus talking about His coming and the destruction of the temple. He spoke of a 30 to 50 year timeframe not 2000.
