I love Russell’s poetic style of speaking. The way that it just flows from him without even a pause to think about what words to use is impressive.

True. I came on to say the same. The soul of a poet, like if he lived in the 1700-1800s he’d have been hanging out with Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley, or later maybe Oscar Wilde…
Russel from one addict to another. I too had that exact spiritual awakening that you had. The Truth coming Rushing in, like a damn wall that i had build had burst. There was no denying who Jesus was and that He was paying me a visit, and making me an offer i believe, anyone that would have the experience i was having, could not refuse. I already knew Him as a child, and came from a christian home to a homeless heroin and crack addict. Now off drugs for 22yrs. i believe only true freedom from the trappings of this world come through faith in Christ. I love you now Russel as a Brother in Christ. Your message of your conversation is powerful, you have just reminded me to be always grateful, never complacent, about my faith. God Bless you Russel. This collaboration truly warms my heart. I used to admire Russell's expression of spirituality and saw him as a role model in my past life before coming to Christ. Now, as a fellow believer and close friend of Wes, seeing this come together is incredible. God’s work is amazing!

Since he became a Christian I’ve prayed for something like this because I could see that he had some miss conceptions and I was scared he’d get caught up in unbiblical Christianity. God is good! He brought in these two amazing guys like he did for Apollos with Pricilla and Aquila

We can continue to pray for him , as he talks about his faith and is under attack. We battle not against flash and blood.
Russell's unabashed honesty and straightforwardness are captivating and reach directly into the hearts and minds of many. I sincerely listen to him, which is not always my strength when the speaker is more factual than personal.
“You can go traipsing through the culture to find solutions, but that’s going to be a long time in the wilderness” Russell says the most poetic and truthful things.
In the midbar is where we find God. In our suffering. So we can understand His.
Im sitting here crying because I'm reminded of my own conversion and how one day I was actively going in one direction, pursuing pleasure, mysticism, actively mocking Christians, biased against and ignorant of the bible...and the next day I'm reading a bible that a stranger gave and I'm seeing Jesus for the 1st time my eyes being opened to a new (to me) reality.

Russel is part of the reason i came back to christ. I was a pretty good christian before i hit 16. Then came the dark ages. Went deep into occultism and paganism. I was never able to find what i was searching for. Partly because of russel i decided to take another look. God bless him because holy spirit was what i was looking for the whole time. Even at my darkest, God never abandoned me, even when i shook my fist at him. It utterly humbles me. Now I've realized i can't live without him. Praise Jesus! My first and only love. My king, my lord ,my God, my savior and my best friend. A sinner like me doesnt deserve him. His grace truly is infinite

The mental torment from the devil was frightening and if Jesus didn't come get me, I would've been in a padded room in an institution with a head protector. So im elated that Jesus set us free and I just want to share Jesus with everyone else. Keep going, brother 😊

The Lord uses the broken, but what is fascinating is to see a person with such a wide range of influence come to faith in Jesus. Every saved person has the ability to bring many to Christ, so it's exciting to see such a public and broad reaching person share his testimony. Many Christians wish for a platform such as Russell's, and many who have a platform of that magnitude abuse it, and lead so many astray. God is not playing around, and he is merciful and full of grace. He is working, and never slumbers or sleeps. He is at the door of your heart, so please let him in. For His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
There is no doubt Russell Brand is brilliant, but equally it seems to me that he's truly a new man in Christ. Praise the LORD!
As a crisis convert myself, I just love hearing Russell's testimony. It brings me back to that one incredible moment where everything I had come to believe, this new age-y patchwork of a worldview, tore into a million pieces in the light of Jesus's presence and grace.
One moment embraced in his love and I was broken, healed, changed - forever!
It was such a jarring shift, from unbelief in God to total belief, that my mind literally broke. "Psychotic break" or "manic" they said... But it was really just a lost girl seeing clearly for the very first time. A mind getting a hard reset and being transformed.
Anyway, thank you for this and all you guys are doing for the Kingdom. 🙏

They practice their stupid meditations and affirmations thinking they're GOD and the Bible is just a contradictory fairytale to them...but once they experience the biblical Jesus ONCE everything would change for them!!

Man, as someone that knows all about recovery and the 12 steps, I can tell Russell has done the work in regards.
He's perpetually on 12 now...
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, you tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all your affairs. This involves helping others in recovery and living by the principles you learned in the program.
This above is similarly true in regards to being saved by Christ, too. In NA/AA they say you keep what you have been given by giving it away. Get some fruit to go with your root as they say.
Once you are saved you should spread the Gospel and help make disciples of all nations.
Russell will continue to heal!

I absolutely love how Russel Brands speaks. It’s literally like a flow of living water. Grateful for his conversion. This will be rewatched.
Russel says he was "given access to the cathedral of our culture... the type of fame where it's miraculous access to the treasures of their false light kingdom"
You rarely ever hear of people who sold their soul for this type of fame to come to genuine faith and repentance.
He experienced all the world could offer and found it hollow and empty. I pray that he might be an inspiration to others in that industry, that real joy and peace can only be found in a relationship with Jesus.
As Solomon wrote "I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 2:10-11)

Love hearing Russel's testimony. I think that we don't hear enough peoples testimony frankly. Appreciate you guys listening to his story rather than always interjecting, sometimes the rabbit trails in the story lead us to realize a rabbit trail that might be leading us to God as well. But then when you did jump in, it was asking questions where you were truly curious to hear the moments and reasons and impact of how Jesus drew Russell to himself. Transformation in a surrender to Jesus alone is amazing!
It is really interesting that Russell used the analogy of a flood to describe his conversion. The Biblical story and his conversation parallel into a new creation while keeping the same form. That's beautiful. Thank you 😊
The Lord has certainly blessed Brand with the gift of oration. I don't know if it would fall under preaching, teaching, prophesying, or something else, but it is undeniable that God has bestowed upon him the ability to communicate truth in an engaging manner, and praise Jesus that He has finally chosen to surrender and use his gift as God has intended.
Russell is brand new. I love this version of him, although his brilliance always stunned me.

WOW!! I mean, wow! If there was ever a doubt that Russell has truly been born again, this has completely thrown that doubt out the window! This guy gets it! He has tasted the goodness of our Almighty, all powerful, all loving, warrior King, King of kings, our Lord and Savior, Jesus of Nazareth, our blessed Christ! These guys don't even know how to handle Russel's testimony lol and these are 2 of the best apologist out there, and Russel is just on a whole other level of pure unadulterated Holy Spirit experience! I think all the men have great things to offer. Wes grew up in a fundamentally stable way to bring the reality of God, where as Rus grew up a wild beautiful flower for God's pleasure. It's amazing to see what all God's done with these men.
Problem is that Russell is still listening to some Hindu teachers. I'm still wary of him. He can't be mixing darkness and light together. I pray he truly leaves all New Age/Hinduism teachers behind.
@FriendlyEvangelist There's NOTHING wrong with that. Hindus have some very good teachings. God gave every religion a part of Himself. If He hadn't, He wouldn't be a very good Father. Now, YOU have a religious mentality that serves noone. And Russell Brand's salvation and knowledge of God is not yours to have an opinion on and spew doubt on. That's your own problem. He belongs to God.

A YT Short from Rogan introduced me to Wes and apologetics. Apologetics is exactly what I needed because I had many questions and most priests, pastors, etc. really aren’t knowledgeable enough to answer the questions I have. I thought about going to seminary because I truly needed to understand certain things. Luckily, I’ve found this channel full of well educated apologetics that don’t always agree on everything, but have the knowledge and reasoning to back up their opinion.
With that said. I love that Wes is getting this recognition and I pray for his strength, stamina, and vision, because this man is booked and busy.
As far as any celebrity goes, I’m glad that they are coming to Christ, but we have to remember to follow Christ- not man. Russell Brand is an actor, so I can’t tell if he truly feels these things or if he’s performing. Jesus said, “For he that is not against us is for us.” I have to accept it as true and move on.
I wish that I could articulate receiving Christ half as well as Russell. He touches everything.

I always find RB very theatrical and well versed but as he articulated his testimony of how he came to and accepted Christ to Wes I felt the Holy Spirit move, all Glory to God, God gets us when we are naked, thats when God touches us deeply, we need brokeness for God to reshape remould us. Public confession of Jesus is required and for a true believer, inevitable.
He has had many confessions on his own show and others though....because he didn't make an explicit statement that the host wanted he ain't a Christian? Ridiculous.

If anything, Russell may talk of it too openly. ‘Judge them by their fruits’ and ‘God knows the heart’ are two examples of how public confession is not at all a necessity.

It's been a beautiful thing to watch this new Christian flourish in his faith and in the difficult position of doing it in front of a skeptical world. Many of us were praying for Russell for several years and I am convinced it was the Holy Spirit who put that on our collective hearts to focus on him and his coming to Christ. I continue to pray for him and his amazing testimony in front of a hungry world. He's in a unique place to be used by God for His kingdom. Blessings!
I stumbled upon Brand’s channel by accident, right before he started to publicly change his views. It was amazing to watch someone in his status/power actually listen to their audience and be open and curious when they disagreed or presented new information to him. Seeing him break free from the traps of the world gave me hope in society’s future in a time I had a very dark opinion of the world. I applaud him for being so open even about the most personal parts of his self and his life. His story, and his transparency in the content he makes, will positively affect many others.
I love that he ends all his videos with, "But that's just what I think, tell me what you think!" That message is powerful. We all have something to say, but few feel we have people who want to listen. RB is an example of what we should all strive to be: confident in our limitations and humble to others for what they can offer us but ultimately trusting in the Lord.
Listening to Mr. Brand’s testimony brought tears to my eyes. I so appreciate his ability to paint the picture of his salvation with such eloquence.
I love Russel Brand. I’m also in recovery and read his recovery books that helped so much. To see his transformation has been nothing short of an incredible miracle! I love how Wes is so giddy to share space with Russel. His smile is priceless! What a great podcast!

I just heard the modern day speaking of Solomon's lament of everything the World has to offer is "Vanity."
I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE TERM APOLOGETICS IN THIS SENSE UNTIL A FEW YEARS AGO. SO IT WAS NEW TO ME TOO AND I'VE BEEN A CHRISTIAN ALL MY LIFE.
These guys did a good a job as anyone I’ve seen in trying to keep Brand on track and speaking about the only two subjects he’s really only qualified to speak on: addiction and his conversion / testimony.
Brand has a huge platform and is used to monologuing about his own opinions but when he does that about his new found faith it quickly becomes apparent that he has much to learn and much to unlearn; his continual reference to “energy” is an indication of how he still sees much of his understanding through the prism of the New Age.
I pray he is receiving and embracing the process of discipleship every new believer needs.

I like Brand’s unique brand of communication which is refreshingly like NO other! God is Sovereign and Awesome! Giving us different personalities that HE uses for HIS glory! I love it!! Praise the LORD!
@@ruthdella37Brand is indeed unique and God CAN use him. However, he is a very young believer and all too often uses his platform to teach and comment on theological issues that he clearly doesn’t understand. Like ALL new believers, Brand needs to spend time being discipled and taught instead of trying to be a teacher. They did their level best to protect Brand from himself and steer him to the subjects a new convert should be capable of speaking on and away from the subjects they aren’t.
This comment thread is one of the few that expresses the right balance of caution and excitement. Let us be praying for Russell - the combination of celebrity and conversion rarely lasts. As may be true for all of us, it is clear that the Spirit has some humbling to do of Russell.
@@captainobvious8665Amen! He needs our prayers that God provides him with the right discipleship and, unlike so many in the world of celebrity who get ‘saved’, he is willing to accept it.
He would do well to spend some time away from the spotlight in order to give himself space to grow in his faith and understanding of his faith. Even the apostle Paul did this after conversion before embarking on his ministry.

We have to always keep in mind that Russell might describe things or talk a bit different/ use different words to explain things because he came to Christ in his own way. He may not have all the same verbiage. I’m glad he is getting to know people who can lead him to sanctification biblically just like what happened with Apollos being helped by Priscilla and Aquila.

I loved that he talked of how unsatisfied he felt while gorging himself on the pleasures offered by the world...and then spoke of how satisfied he was gorging himself on Christ and His truth. I've felt that for so long. I had everything I wanted and still always wanted more. Now that I am saved, I look around and realize not only do I truly have everything I need and want, I have excess of things I don't need or want. It's amazing how Christ truly does fill every corner and shoves out the things that are useless. Addiction is chasing a high that never lasts. Belief in Christ is chasing a high that is always more than enough.
