Thank you very much! This area keeps surprising me every time. Last year, I thought that it was never going to be better, but then this morning happened. And this was only half of the morning... Thanks for watching! Grt Guido

It's one of those places you keep returning to. I have the same. I think it's a very good practice, it trains the eye well. Lovely images. All the best from NZ.
This area is actually quite small, but I rarely come there without something nice to show. Sometimes it's only 1 image, and sometimes it's a bunch of them, like on this day. And I totally agree. The more you come to the same area, the more you start looking for the less obvious shots. Thanks for watching and your comment. Grt Guido
That gradient filter is so nice and it works really well. Somehow with the live gnd I don't have the problem that tips of trees stick above the horizon are darker then the underside of the tree. Or you can easily fix it in post processing. With actual gnd I always seem to have a problem with that. Thanks for watchibg grt guido

Your presentation is just my speed. I’ll be coming over your way in sunny February, so I will be keeping an eye out for your winter adventures. I’ve been uninspired for quite some time but you are lighting a spark. Thank you so much..
It is amazing to read that you find inspiration again due to my videos. That's what keeps me motivated to continue making them. Winter in the netherlands is quite difficult, so don't expect too much. When there is snow and ice, it is amazing, but unfortunately, over the past years, temperatures rarely drop underneath 0. If you come over, feel free to contact me. Maybe I can help you oud and point out some great spots. Where are you up to yourself? Thanks for watching and your comment. I really appreciate it! Grt guido
Congrats on >5k subscribers! On to 10k and beyond 🎉. Great video of a familiar place for you. I like your photo in the orange mist best of this series, it has something other worldly about it. That’s not to say I don’t like your other photos too 😊
It keeps amazing me every time I go to this location. I recorded this 22nd of June, and somehow, it was left on a shelf somewhere due to all kinds of other projects. When I started editing the images, I was like, o wow... I totally forgot about that, haha. Thanks for watching and for supporting the channel for such a long time! On to 10k! Grt guido
Groetjes Guido
hey thank you for sharing yet another inspiring photography trip. All natural elements coming together and a great photographer just in the right place/right time. I have to thank you also for reminding me about the FlexTail repellant, I saw it on one of your previous videos and I even had one ready to buy but forgot. Months later there's a gentle nudge and even a discount (thank you). Placed an order so hopefully those pesky critters will go suck someone else's blood for a while. May even venture into midge country and try it out. A shame it didn't work on those leeches but no pain, no gain......beautiful images from the sock-less/shoe-less Guido. I have that 100-400 lens but sadly I can't get sharp shots (as yet). One day a fluke will happen! I am very happy for you that so many folks are now subscribing, great news for you. I will look forward to whatever follows.
The trick with the 100-40p is to get very high shutter speeds. It's much better to get 1/2000s on iso 1600 then to use 1/400s on iso 400. The higher shutter speeds just give much faster shutter speeds. And the lens loses a bit sharpened above 360 - 370mm so just try to avoid that. The tiny repeller is amazing. In next weeks video you will see an image that is ruined by mosquito's. They don't come to me but that doesn't meen they are not in the images 😅 thanks for watching and your support I appreciate it! Grt guido
@@GuidoVanDeWater thank you so much for replying, never imagined to get one. I will keep your top tips about the lens in the very forefront of my brain sludge, hopefully they will not sink in it. I can't wait for the mosquito horror film then!

Great shots as one is coming to expect from you. But here is tip for you ( from manual 😊): with GND filter active you can press INFO button to switch between GND and normal shooting settings... Thanks and waiting for next video!

Gefeliciteerd met de 5k abonnees man! Zeer verdiend. Wanneer ik een pano maak, maak ik hem met de camera verticaal, ipv horizontaal. Dan heb je meer pixels en betere breedte/hoogteverhouding. Cheers! 🍻

Guido, love your work from here in Australia. One thing though. With the GND filter, I, like you, thought you had to disable it to change your exposure settings but….. while you’re in the GND function, simply press the info button to cycle through various views. There are three views, the GND adjustment, a composition screen without any settings and the last one a screen with the GND effect showing but with all of your exposure controls. So while in the GND view press the info button twice, change your exposure settings then press info once more to return to the GND view.

I did indeed do a manual focus on the tree, and I actually do it a lot when conditions are as foggy as here. When there is so much fog, the camera often doesn't focus or focuses on the fog. So I just focus on the tree and then wait for the fog to be exactly in the right spot. I keep the aperture low for the same reason. To high and too much of the fog gets in focus, which sometimes makes the images look noisy. But it's not noise it's just fog. Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido
