Nathan is a perfect example of what we can learn from guys like him. I've worked with a few young people with down syndrome, they add something to our lives if we let them. 🤟🌟💖

Years ago, I would see a young man that had DS at my doctor's office every month when I went for my appointment. He would be sitting in the crowded waiting area with his mom. Luckily, her appointment fell on the same day as mine for awhile so, I would always try to find a seat close to them. My now ex-boyfriend and I loved talking with him and, every month he would pull photos of his big sister out of his backpack so that he could brag about her going off to college. It was easy to see that he was VERY proud of his sister and, he was a joy to be around.❤
Who are "we"? Non-disabled people? Guys like him?
My brother was a heavens angle.. Born 1963 and passzs 2008, he loved dancing, and this young man brought back so many memories.. I am in tears Love him. Miss you Boetie ❤️🙏
We can all learn a lot from him. Hell he's even a better dancer then me after seeing this !!
That young woman just showed her beauty in about half a dozen different ways---what she is inside as a person; how she inspires; her physical beauty; her graceful and balanced dance moves; and the love and joy she puts into what she does that shows outwardly. I know this is about the young man, and he definitely showed what a passion for something can do. But it's also about his young teacher, who has patiently danced with him, working with him for three years, and helping him get to the point that he was able to go on BGT.
His personality is just everything, he's the perfect example that anyone can do anything they want he's mint! and his teacher is just pure GOLD ❤X

I don’t usually hit the like button or comment on these videos but this touched my heart deeply. I used to work with people that are different like Nathan. I can’t tell you how many times they taught me new things. As a social worker this has made me cry this morning. Thank you, Nathan.

What made Joanne shiny even more was the fact she made it all about Nathan and OMG she’s incredible.
My son has Down syndrome. He's such a tremendous extrovert that he forces his introvert Dad to get out of his shell. Like Nathan here, my Ben is delightfully outgoing and flirtatious with the ladies.
This performance made me want jump up and cheer and applaud right along with the audience.

I just watched this in Australia and what a truly heart melting story this is. My daughter was born with severe club feet, operated on at 3 month old and a future 8 operation until she started school. She decided she wanted to learn to dance and she had lessons, won medals and performed in competitions till she was 16. Dance helps overcome challenges and gives joy to those performing and those who watch…..Nathan you will always be a winner no matter what….just love you for the joy you gave me watching you. ❤️🕺👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
I cried through all of it. Nathan you are incredible and what a Blessing beautiful Joanne is. My tears were from a tender place I lost my sister in 2020 and she was 48 years old, cancer took her. She like you fought the good fight, if someone said she couldn’t, she would prove them wrong. They told my Mom to leave her. When my sister left she lived on her own w/ a job @ boyfriend. Nobody walked over her and she was smart and My Hero. Her name was Jackie and she knocked down walls one at a time. “Because I’m Jackie nobody can be me” I miss my baby sister every day. Remember don’t give up on someone just because of a learning disability ability. Jackie couldn’t even talk at 1 time. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ for my baby sister I’ll see you always in my heart and thoughts and mind. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

One of the bret performances ever. The joy Nathan experienced and joy he gave to the audiences. His teacher is so beautiful inside and out to inspire him. And what about Nathan’s parents how proud were they.

Many years ago, I began my career in nursing, working with those severely and gently affected by genetics. They did then and still do hold a special place in my heart. I'm so glad people are more accepting of differences. Nathan proves beyond doubt that talent, along with love and encouragement, that anyone can achieve great things. ❤😊
The World perception is changing and as I have worked in Community Health Care, we were involved in a inclusive education programme which is still going on, but it was a hard task for us staff to convince the "normal " kids to accept the special kids but slowly we were able to break the ice... this is in India, still the plight of kids in far flung areas in villages, children do suffer because of various reasons. Kids don't need pity and a pat on the head, they need inclusive support and empowerment to be welcomed regardless of their various special needs. Respect and Dignity all the way... treating them on par with others at the same time catering to the requirements on a personal basis. I hope that people take the step in the right direction and stop saying "oh poor child " but do things in a positive way like this child has... so happy for Nathan. 🎉
They should ban cousin marriages. There are so many disabled kids because of this practise.
Words can't DESCRIBE how Joane is. Not only has she welcome Nathan in2 her dance class butt she's gone 1 up, nominated Nsthan 4 BGT! A truly genuine soul. She showd a true act of love. Her parents shod b proud of iher. I got cerebral palsy and I lov seeing people do things like this

My Granny was one of the first Special Needs teachers, when schools were just opening up to admitting children with disabilities. Before this time, most of these children would have been hidden away in their homes. The principal told my Granny that she was only expected to be a good 'babysitter' for these Special Needs children. Instead, my Granny taught them to read, write, learn math, science, social studies as well as social skills. And insisted that her class take the school bus to go on field trips, just like the other classrooms. She brought a piano into her classroom and taught music, and her classroom put on two plays each year. She won 'Teacher of the Year' and didn't retire until she was 72 years and for the next 10 years, volunteered at her local Special Olympics every year until she had a stroke. She passed away when she was 92 years old. So, I grew up knowing that Special Needs children can do amazing things. Nathan is amazing!

I was in a deep depression when I first watched this. Its something that Ive struggled with for years. I cant tell you how many times I have watched this to feel better. Nathan's zest for life and incomparable joy really resonate with me. What a beautiful soul. And his loving parents too. Amazing🎉

He is awesome. Never let someone tell you that you cannot do something if you have a passion for it. Just go do it. Nobody starts off great. It takes work and time. And his teacher is awesome. She is beautiful and such talent. And she takes the time to share her passion with others. You can tell she really loves that guy too.

I saw the performance on facebook but seeing the whole story makes my heart so happy. I also have a disability and like Nathan all we want is to be like everyone else and feel included. Joanne is such a sweetheart and a wonderful teacher to do that for Nathan. Wow!!

I have worked with someone who has Down syndrome and she is one of the kindest thoughtful people i have met she was just a joy to work with people who discriminate against people with Down syndrome and this sadly happens they forget just how talented and bright they are
