"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore to decide to be happy". Just by the look on his face you can see that hit Simon like a tonne of bricks to the head. I've seen Simon stunned by performances and speechless from singing but I've never seen him knocked into a philosophical epiphany before.
My Boy! Star in My Bully’s Name… moves mountains in the conventional use of the violin. I sending his video to UK’s Kaneh-Mason Family of seven Classical Sevants!
you know... i'm 27, i haven't cried since I enrolled in the army. Back then my baby brother visited me along side my parents once and i broke down in tears. this video made me tear up 3 separate times. the choir, the pianist and last performer... there truly is good left in the world
"You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore to decide to be happy." - Nightbirde Out of everything I took away from her performance and her story, this struck a serious chord in me. It is not often we're given an absolutely obvious moment to really absorb something until it's already happened. Accepting is a hard thing sometimes and so is understanding and having empathy or compassion. The world has become very uptight and no one seems to smile quite like those who are going through the most anymore. Those that are seriously going through something are always the ones taking time for others or providing what they're not receiving. Making an active choice to be happy is not the easiest thing to do especially with what is always projected onto us. Good news isn't told anymore; it has to be sought out. There is a note of humbleness and gratefulness in her statement. Be happy with what you have right now. It might not be what you want or are working towards, but in this moment, you're here. To whoever reads this, you're heard and understood. You're not alone and good things are on the way. Help is coming; peace in the storm has to be sought out. Don't be afraid to stop for a moment and just accept who you are right this second. One day, this version of you will be a stepping stone to you in the future. And that's okay. Don't be ashamed or be afraid; even the worst things we do are completely authentic feelings even if for a split second. You've got this.
Thank you so much! I had tears running when she said that and wrote it down. And when Simon said 'she didn't make the finals' I decided it was time to pause the video and walk my dog to reflect on this. Looking at the stars, seeing the milky way, thinking about my struggles and of so many others, yes you need to decide to be happy. When others ask me how I manage to smile I tell them I use scotch tape and quickly they smile too, which is so heart-warming. We need to spread positivity amidst the darkness. Be a light.
Kodi Lee is the perfect example of “Even if your different you can still be amazing!” He made be cry ❤ Edit: this is the most likes I’ve ever gotten thanks ❤

R.I.P. Nightbirde she was so strong to go through what she did and still write such an amazing song about its it brought me to tears after finding out what happened to her
When I heard Nightbirde has passed away my heart dropped... I've never even seen her audition before, I paused before she even started singing, but just her smile, her positivity, her optimism, she is, well, was, an amazing amazing person, and I'm so sad that it's always the best people that get taken away. Rest in peace beautiful girl
Darci Lynne is amazing. Seriously. I’m completely floored and blown away by her. She is a once in a lifetime talent. She deserves all the success in the world!
but Nightbirde.....God bless her.....I am battling cancer myself and even though she is gone, earned her angel wings......I feel her strength.....EVERY SINGLE DAY.....EVERY TREATMENT, APPT AND UP AND DOWN.....RIP JANE, RIP
Please forgive me for correcting your TV theology. I understand why we like to believe that, but it's not biblical. We do not ever become angels. We do not ever earn our "wings". That is movie theology straight from the old Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life. Salvation is a gift of God and based only on Faith alone. You cannot earn it. It is important to get our theology from the Bible. It saddens me that most people rarely crack open their Bibles and read the Word of God. It is the lifeblood of a believer's walk with the Lord. How else can you get to know Him? I'm not saying you don't read your Bible. I really wrote this response for the people reading your comment, and because "earning wings" is something a family member says that always bothers me. So please don't take my correction personally. I hope you have a wonderful day. ❤ I pray your cancer treatments are successful and that you will soon be in remission. If you see this, please let us know how you're doing today. God bless you Abby. ❤🙏🙏🙏✝️🙏🙏🙏❤
Man, If you didn't tear up at least a few times watching this video, rather if it's from joy or sadness, I don't know which pile of salt you came from. Seeing others be that happy makes me smile and gives me tears of joy. Seeing others cry or be sad makes me feel sad and tear up. I feel those people way more than any hate that people try to bring to this world. Seeing people having emotions makes them real and beautiful. It makes me feel like those are the people I want to be around with. It shares comfort and warmth rather than cold bloody war. We all need that.
When i heard simon saying nightbirde recently died from cancer it really shocked me she was an angel now she is resting in heaven so peacefully..... I also loved her quote "you cant wait until life isnt hard anymore before you decide to be happy" best quote ever..... All these performances has enspired me so much and i even cried during this other performances..... ❤✨
It’s so enriching to see how Nightbirde’s “It’s Okay” was brought back to life in the most beautiful way this season by the South African choir, Mzanzi.
I did not think he was super good. What makes you think he was super good? He played a pop song and for half the time along with a pop song. I would not call that a virtuoso level performance. I'm glad for him and wish him well. The actual performance was good but not elite in my opinion.
Wow! that young boy with that violin blew me away 👏 👏 👏 absolutely amazing performance. Baby my son had to go chemotherapy and surgeries in his head and he looked different and kids bullied him. My son is doing well and I pray you are. Just like my boy you are a star. Keep shining you both came out on top. I'm crying in so happy.
Oh my goodness the Detriot Youth Choir has absolutely BEAUTIFUL HARMONY. You can tell each kid is giving it their all. Amazing. It really makes me miss my old choir group
Indeed, and not to throw the race card in, but these kids wil face a lot of dificulties in life living in the US (or in Belgium, to my regret), for they wil always be judged by the color of their skin, and not by their talents. That song gave me the chills.
something that always stuck with me with the taekwondo group, wasn’t only their sheer talent but the clear display of unwavering discipline they showed. the unison they were all in, like you could genuinely place them in a line, one in front of the other and think it was one person.
DarcyLynn was my Dad's favorite...he passed 3 weeks after she won. Nightbird still makes me weep when I see her, but I would watch her again and again.
I swear Jane(Nightbird) would have won the show if she could have continued, no doubt!!!!!!!!💜💜💜💜 Every time I see her performance it absolutely moves me in so many ways... Breaks my heart that we have lost such an amazing, beautiful, pure, wonderful soul!!!! Hate that we will never have the chance to witness such greatness from her again 😭😭 is so devastating 😭😭
She's been a huge inspiration for me. I've been fighting colorectal cancer, with some lymph nodes involved, for a year now. When I get discouraged, or I'm in a lot of pain, I go back to her audition video. She was so powerful. So wise, so upbeat and so happy in herself. No wonder Simon was emotional at her loss. I know I was.

Tyler with the violin absolutely killed the concert. Absolutely the best violin skills I have seen. Grace literally have the potential to become a famous singer when she grows up. The coordination for Light Balance to dance in the dark is insane. That choir group singing is so good, the intro of their singing was barely 1% of their potential. Darci Lynne can sing so smoothly without opening her mouth, while changing her voice. That sounds so beautiful. Rest In Peace, Jane. You will forever be remembered.
Like I’ve said ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE SO TALENTED but KODI LEE!!!! Kodi Lee is absolutely beautiful and such an inspiration for me!! He’s such an amazing and incredible person!! He will ALWAYS be in my heart!!!
Omg, Kodi's performance had me in tears. It was literally the mixture of perfection and imperfection. Although hes blind and autistic he played the piano and sang so perfectly it was unbelievable. Hes literally an angel ❤
I was actually mesmerised by Nightbirde, the song was gorgeous, amazing voice with such a beautiful smile. I forgot what I was even watching... and that quote at the end made me cry. I was so happy for that gold buzzer. It's such a shame she isn't with us anymore... but at least we can say with the amount of positivity she brought, the world didn't get any darker, she brought too much light to people with that performance ❤
RIP Songbird-such a beautiful angel that was taken from us!! I pray she’s at peace and not in pain anymore!! But this world is definitely darker without her!! I hope she knows how truly amazing she is and will never be forgotten!! Her legacy will always live on!
The Taekwondo team is awesome. Anything to do/performs as a team’s always take more efforts/time of practices than as an individual (my thought). Their performance is absolutely Awesome! A well deserved that Golden Buzzer.
Kodi Lee has got to get a major record deal immediately, fast. The world needs hear much more of him. Even if it is for starters the full length of that song.
For the wonderful woman who sang and lost her hearing, I couldn’t imagine if she got to hear the crowd cheering and cheering, it’s just so heartwarming
I will never be able to say this enough, Nightbird touched the hearts of so so so many. Even though I have not been through the same troubles as she did but her song resonated with me to a level that I cannot express enough. Nightbird is dearly missed and not forgotten.
0:33 Did he actually say he was being bullied in school because he has cancer?? That's actually horrible. How are they really gonna bully someone who's potentially already dying?
Simon was beautiful the way he spoke with the little boy with the violin. He does have a heart ❤ All the best too the little boy in everything 😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I see the beautiful light these wonderful people project as their talent is projected onto the crowd through their performance , god bless nightbird . An angel that brought her light so brightly .
The first one really had me! He was bullied for CANCER! Something I dealt with as a kid as well! And the fact he played "What kills doesn't make you stronger", I loved it! It's the perfect song for a strong kid like him.... and me. I was only 9 years old when I through it and as I'm typing this I'm 27. He's showed this strength not just by surviving.... but for coming up and there and showing what he fought for. And the cancer ribbon on this violin! I love it so much!
Every single one of these has brought tears to my eyes. I love every single one. Each one is definitely deserved. I have to go on a binge of these videos. I absolutely love this
the fact people wld make fun of/bully a kid because of cancer is unbelievable, this kid has a talent and so much potential, i wish the best and hope he continues on❤
Bro this entire video was an emotional roller coaster, every act was filled with passion and creativity like with the energetic choir and the awestruck talent with Kodi. Especially ending it with the best of all, nightbirde. I hope they go far!
This was probably one of the best videos AGT is put out. Getting to listen to Terry and Simon without a bunch of fans around, getting their true feelings, was amazing. I think Terry is a person who teaches us all lessons too. And it's nice to see Simon now as opposed to when the show started. You can see his transformation from the mean guy to a guy who has learned a lot from others throughout the show and became a better person.
I love hearing graces songs It's just so amazing hearing an angel like her let out that Harmony, like I'm crying, it makes me cry even more because her mom standing there supporting her for who she is, man I gotta tell you it's so heart warming.
The little boy with the violin when the song started playing I realized that he played the “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” song because he had cancer and he beat it so “what doesn’t kill it makes you stronger” he is so sweet he felt proud of himself and I would too . He was inspiring the little kids in the crowd! I’m so happy that he got the golden buzzer and I wish him the best in life❤
@ 35:08… Nightbirde 😥😥😥. I was doing fine until she appeared as her story & her performance absolutely broke me 💔🥺😭💔. She was arguably one of the most deserving golden buzzer recipients in AGT history. Long may she rest in peace ✊️😔🕊

All 10 of these are absolutely beautiful. From the passion to the drive to the entertainment that all these acts provide it’s just amazing to see that this is what people are capable of. Rest in piece to nightbirde her legacy will never be forgotten😢.
35:00 Nighbird: Wow! 39:50 "You can't wait till life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy" Sooo true. She was beautiful inside and out. The world has lost a beautiful star! 😭
“You can’t wait till life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy” means a lot to many people especially me after all I’ve gone through.. this quote changed my life.
The choir! That one man that allowed the choir and the choir members that made it happen...beautiful! Find "that person" in your school and give them what they need!!
Grace's audition was so perfect ! I watched it so many time... and everytime I see the beautiful girl in the audience saying "Oh My God" I'm like "Yeah ! Right !"
Many Harvey's bass player just absolutely beaming at her is so touching! He knows how special she is and is just so happy for her and to be a part of it ❤
I remember seeing Nightbirde the first time and then I was in a shop and heard her song on the speakers and thought wow she made it! Then shortly after I heard that she had passed and I cried. RIP lovely lady
13:08 this girl was my highlights of 2020. I sat in my room trying to memorise the lyrics of her song because of how good it was. I even joined a singing group because of her but later gave up because i wasnt good enough. It is so good how a girl such like her never gave up and finally got the golden buzzer. Absolute legend.

I have aggressive malignant cancer and my heart going out with her ❤l am feeling so gutted knowing she is gone, such of talented beautiful person
Songbird??
They mean Nightbird I guess. The last in this video. She died from cancer recently.
So sad 😭😭😭

@@bdasenarenthlei9853 she was the lady that sang "It's Okay". Beautiful lady!
The look on the violin boys face when Simon hit the golden buzzer made me out of nowhere just burst into tears
That little violinist was absolutely amazing - how talented is he! Well done and God bless your future.
For the wonderful woman who sang and lost her hearing, I couldn’t imagine if she got to hear the crowd cheering and cheering, it’s just so heartwarming
18:59 - Mandy Harvey. The fact that she is this good as a deaf person amazes me. Well done👍🏻👍🏻
I love every moment of AGT, congratulations on showing the talent that exists in the world. (A big hug from Portugal 🇵🇹)
It’s absolutely devastating that Nightbirde passed away earlier this year. ❤️RIP❤️
Did she??
@@livml07 jup…
@@livml07 yes
Rest in peace
Not actually devastating! Kinda sad because she was young. RIP
I will never be able to say this enough, Nightbird touched the hearts of so so so many. Even though I have not been through the same troubles as she did but her song resonated with me to a level that I cannot express enough. Nightbird is dearly missed and not forgotten.
The kid at the start even put movement in the audition, that's pure skill❤
Nightbirde still brings me to tears to this day. She was a great singer and an even greater person. Miss her a lot.
Same 😢 she was a amazing singer and a BEAUTIFUL girl.❤❤ love ya Nightbirde ❤ R.I.P rest in peace
Night bird brings it home for me, her beauty is stunning, her outlook infectious and inspiring, I’ll never forget her.
0:33 Did he actually say he was being bullied in school because he has cancer?? That's actually horrible. How are they really gonna bully someone who's potentially already dying?
Nobody thanked the cameramen/women who are always there to show us such incredible talents. Thank you all.😊
Well nobody but you. Go on😅
My favorite forever still Nightbirdie. I think she is the stronger woman in the world. SHE IS THE REAL CHAMPION IN LIFE. RIP Nightbirdie..
Absolutely right
Im with you
Simon was beautiful the way he spoke with the little boy with the violin.
He does have a heart ❤
All the best too the little boy in everything 😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Simon night birds audition should be released in memory cos that was unreal what a voice and talent
Ngl light balance was smooth asf i couldn't ask for anything better than that its a master piece
Imagine bullying someone for having cancer
I know it’s kinda crazy
It’s cruel. Especially to a little one.
Crazyy

I see the beautiful light these wonderful people project as their talent is projected onto the crowd through their performance , god bless nightbird . An angel that brought her light so brightly .
OMG!!! WOW!!!!! They ALL gave me goosebumps!!!!!! Such AMAZING BEAUTIFUL FANTASTIC TALENTED PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
they all deserve their own platforms talented with so many obstacles no one is greater they all serve a purpose.
The young man with the violin was absolutely beautiful inspiring as well as extremely talented. His performance was phenomenal.
like simon and you said PHENOMENAL

The young man that played the violin was truly amazing and beautiful. God bless this amazing young man
Every single one of these has brought tears to my eyes. I love every single one. Each one is definitely deserved. I have to go on a binge of these videos. I absolutely love this
the fact people wld make fun of/bully a kid because of cancer is unbelievable, this kid has a talent and so much potential, i wish the best and hope he continues on❤
The young man with the violin gave me chills!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME WHEN TERRY CREWS SHOWED THOSE KIDS FROM DETROIT THAT HE REMEMBERS WHERE HE CAME FROM!!! GREAT GOLDEN BUZZER MOMENT
Bro this entire video was an emotional roller coaster, every act was filled with passion and creativity like with the energetic choir and the awestruck talent with Kodi. Especially ending it with the best of all, nightbirde. I hope they go far!
I wept my way through virtually this whole track. These messages from these folk are awe inspiring. Thank you Simon and Terry
He married and he is a dad now so he has mellowed quite a bit.
I love hearing graces songs It's just so amazing hearing an angel like her let out that Harmony, like I'm crying, it makes me cry even more because her mom standing there supporting her for who she is, man I gotta tell you it's so heart warming.
I love watching Sophie, her reactions are so real,so exciting, she feels exactly what I feel at home
Sofie*
Sofie was so genuine. Sheer talent. No gimmicks...
@@l.a.f.4421 … You’re not the only one ✊️😁. I was keeping in touch with her in the last few months before word came out that she had passed away & her courage was astonishing. She will never, EVER be forgotten ✊️😔
Mandy’s singing made me cry! She was soo good and soo talented though she could not hear she made everyone get up from their sests including the judges! Kodi lee was definitely also amazing! I was soo shocked to see his talent
Mandy Harvey’s song though the part that made me cry is “I don’t live the way I want to~”and “ and I will tryyy~” 😭 ❤
The little man with the violin was so confident with both his music and dance. Remember when violin was classical?
Loll
nightbird was an angel! tears came to my eyes when i heard she died. she was a special, special person. and left us with a hole where she used to be.
All 10 of these are absolutely beautiful. From the passion to the drive to the entertainment that all these acts provide it’s just amazing to see that this is what people are capable of. Rest in piece to nightbirde her legacy will never be forgotten😢.
Cody! Gives me full body chills listening every time! God bless him and his amazing Mom! ♥️♥️♥️♥️🥰

Wow! This is the best AGT ever. Everyone performed absolutely beautifully, but the most incredible one is the song by night bride, amazing.
People who care about others ..give the world it's real beauty and life it's real meaning.....you all inspire me......thank you
34:54 That is truly heartwrenching. What a voice, what depth in the song lyrics and RIP Nightbirde. You inspired me....
The choir! That one man that allowed the choir and the choir members that made it happen...beautiful!
Find "that person" in your school and give them what they need!!
All participants were so talented with inspiring amazing and i crexible perdormances
That choir! Every last one so polished and talented! They just sparkled.
Btw the name of the song in the choir is can’t hold us
The choir....WOW! No other words, just WOW!
Yees, they were perfect movie like
Lets pray for nightbirde that she is happy in heaven😢
Her voice is like an angel, she desserved that golden buzzer
So proud of this young kid, he’s just awesome, proud of your talents. God bless you abundantly.
Which young kid do you mean? There were several in this video.
Kodi Lee is absolutely amazing. The power of the music
