The amount of people who hate these fellas don’t realize it genuinely helped characters like fleetway, plus alot of the songs are absolute bops
Especially with the Frontiers hate.
If anyone noticed, most of the opponent Sonics were officialy involved with SEGA while the player Sonics were mostly fanmade.
extra thing about this, Fleetway is about the only one who goes against this, as Fleetway is an official thing/concept in the one of the comic series (either IDW or Archie)

Crazy to think that if you did this a few days later, the Sonics from Super Sonic Smackdown would be here as well. Even if we removed Sonic.Exe's additions we'd still have a good number of Sonics to chose from which is a interesting thought. I sometimes even forget HD Sonic was a thing!
