Mordy, if a 15-year-old who admires you sees you, his idol, having a Chavrusa in the AM after singing the night before, it will have a tremendous impact on him. Far more than others.
As Joey's sister I will say joey was always like that. That's no mask for him he is a silly happy go lucky fun guy and that's not something that everybody gets. Some people think always being bubbly and fun and silly means your hiding something buy in all reality some people just have more fire and energy and spirit than others and joey (yosef) is an example of that. He has always been that way and it's what people adore about him including his family ❤ Go Joey🔥
You sound like a great sister too! 💛
@@LivingLchaim Thanks!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I try😉😁😁😁. Thanks for this episode was really fun to watch!
Benny point is right on. With a balance. It can inspire others to get involved.
I agree with Benny. Use your game to bring light to the world.
Benny is 100% right, he explained himself well.
Yup
I definitely agree with Benny!
I think he explained himself well enough
REALLY appreciate this conversation.. Understand mordy but believe we all need to share more Torah and Avodat Hashem!
Amazing episode as always. This is Jewish pride right here 3 of our Jewish superstars talking about being real connecting with Hashem truly inspirational not going find it anywhere else.
Yup
I agreed 100% with benny anyone with a platform in any way should be using it to the best of his or her ability to spread the light of Hashem and bring Moshiachch 🎉
✨✨✨
💯
Exactly right.
I really look forward to this & hopefully sharing. My fave artists for a Long Time. Not just their voices & performing abilities, but their Fun Personalities/ Sense of Humor too.
This was great. So raw. Felt like we were eavesdropping on a conversation between those 3 outside a wedding hall where they just finished a gig and were arguing about this "Jewish Celebrity" topic. Very interesting. Thanks.
p.s. Mordy is amazing for a podcast format. He is so honest and real. And you're right; he'd make for a fantastic host.
these are 3 Europeans ?
I agree with Mordy on this one. They should only be sharing what is comfortable for them.
I agree that each of them has do so what feels right for them! I agree with the concept Benny is trying to illustrate!
Well said
Yaakov- I am SO Glad that I have your interview to keep me company while I Clean for Pesach.
Spiritually should be authentic. It shouldn’t be hidden. Authenticity and spirituality aren’t contradictions. I think a person who has any influence no matter how small can afford to share tidbits of spiritual authenticity. It’s not bragging it’s just a bit vulnerable for some people (there are usually reasons why)…
I agree with Mordy, but I understand Benny’s point of view.
I 100% Agee with Benny! We’re in new generation where people turn to social media, and get very influenced by it! and everything you shair is so important and gives an impact on this generation!! So many young teens, and kids, and even adults, that you can inspire in a good way!! In a world where it’s so easy to slip and fall and come across things that are not the best influence, instead, they can find things that are a good influence and this can really inspire them and bring out good in this world!! Your posting brings out strength, courage, and a great path for the upcoming generation!! I do not feel that posting is gayva, it’s sharing something personal that can be so inspirational and bring so much good influence!! Of course, everyone has their boundaries and that is fully respected!!!
Thank you! You’re inspiring me to finally share something online. You have shared some thoughts I hadn’t considered - thank you!
The Jewish people have been given a light that shines bright. Yah has given the opportunity of a covenant relationship with which Abraham would bless the world with. You cannot hide a candle under a bushel nor does a city on a hill hide from the world around it. Light is supposed to shine and be seen. I agree with Benny in saying that people should see your faith not just hear about it. Mordy seemed to imply that talking about what you do in any sense is bragging. Everyone should be able to share what Yah is doing in there life and the blessing He is. Too many people today say that society should help the homeless and yet they do not do anything when they pass them on the street. Whether you are famous or common, people should see your El in the actions you take. Let that light shine in a world full of darkness.
Three Jews in a room. Chabad Modern and Hipster. Surprised Benny didn't pull out Tefillin 🤣
What a beautiful episode. Powerful.
I 100% agree with Benny! I understand that Mordy thinks certain things should be personal and private and I think he’s right but overall I think that anyone who has such a big platform should be genuinely promoting the greatness of Hashem, Yiddishkeit and Torah. Yea Judaism!!
yea!
Amazing stuff always thanks Yakov
I agree with Benny because there is a big need to share positive and light, especially when there is so much of the opposite out there...
And I totally understand mordy's point certain things should be kept low...
I see where Mordy is coming from; yes, it can feel very awkward and ga'avadik, and it's only human to feel that way, BUT - I think Benny is the correct one in this argument. I really agree with him -being that you ARE public, and people really DO look up to you, you're in that place that you can and ARE (as someone mentioned, whether you like it or not) inspiring people, (or chas v'shalom, turning them off).
With great fame comes great responsible opportunity. Fantastic podcast!!!!! So genuine.
As much as Benny's point is essential, I deeply understand where Mordy is coming from. I much prefer to keep my moments of spirituality and growth between me and Hashem, and its often uncomfortable to talk about them. However, I do find that when I go out of my comfort zone and am open about these things, I can connect to another yid in a very powerful way, and that makes it worth the discomfort.
I don't think people see your efforts as disingenunine. It might feel that way, but really people are seeing a deeper side of you, and its up to them to admire that side of you, or have their own opinions about what you should be posting.
Geshmak!! Was slightly awkward in the beginning, but warmed up, a lot to listen to
So I can hear what Mordechai Shapiro is saying about modesty but Im on Team Benny: as a star, youre inevitably out there whether you like it: you can choose what to share, but your avodah is being a performer: bring kosher entertainment to people. they both do an excellent job
As an over-sharer of my life, I agree more w Mordy. And I agree w your wife, that although U felt such tremendous joy to share w the world, U need to see/hear what your wife wants in announcing the birth of your baby. Mazal Tov!
Chag Kasher for Sameach,,from Tzfat!
Mikimi
I’m so glad to know Benny. He’s hilarious.
So Glad I found your video here. I was expecting it; but didn’t know to look under Living L’Chaim”- Best Wishes & Thanks!!!
Mordy could come sing by family events any time 😂, keep up the great work!!
They are both right. Each person has to do their own cheshbon hanefesh where to draw the line, and where to eventually redraw it.
I actually totally hear both points.. cuz on one hand you don't want to push anything onto ppl or look like a gaivah and I hear the point where u want to keep it ur own personal mitzvah.
However I think if someone's sincerely doing a mitzvah purely for the good, to connect with Hashem and not bc they "should" do it or it'll make u into a better person.. then it's not about u and it's not gaivadik to share it with the oilem bc it's Hashems Torah that should be spread with the rest of our brothers and sisters.. like u don't need to be a rabbi to share Hashems Torah that He gave us to connect to Him with.
So yeh I kinda agree with benny there needs to be more Torah sharing everywhere like there's never enough Torah.. it's not a contradiction like u can still share music AND Torah :) and dsnt either need to be inorganic it can come when u feel lk ah tht was good I Wana share tht with my fam🇮🇱
I agree with mordy!! Be genuine ❤
Amazing! Thank you!
I agree with Mordy.
Thanks!
Agreed with Benny, they have a big platform and they should spread as much of light of Torah as possible, they can each do it in a way that makes sense to them, but Benny is 100 percent right, they have a responsibility for the klal. They are Yidden 1st be4 entertainers and they should recognize there hashpa on others
Hands down bany is right
Wow I was not expecting it to be this heavy.
awesome episode
Great video
I agree with benny
I disagree with MShapiro. I believe that it is a bit egotistical to keep your yiddishkeit to yourself when another person can become positively influenced to begin starting doing mitzvos themselves:)
Amazing
@joey there is a restaurant called Nogga in Melbourne. Milchig place. 😀
In regards to Joey’s question about rebbe Nachman the rebbe always said that you can get to his level so anything big he spoke about himself was to tell you holy yid you can there too.
I try to inspire others with things I do. With my music, things I write or say.. But I find that there are all kids of people that view it in different ways. Some see it as a good thing and some see it as if I am showing off and looking for attention which is not at all why I do it.
I agree
Am I correct that Mordy is saying this: it is for Hashem that I do these things. I don’t need to share it with the world. I agree. Maybe it’s what someone else is supposed to do, but not Mordy. We each have different purposes in life even though we can have similar skill sets. I love Mordy and his humility and desire to remain somewhat private.
Tanya changes everything.
Wow
I think that Mordy is an Open Book on Social Media. He is Happy to share. & he is 100% his Natural Energetic Self on Stage. Benny is Fully Present on Stage, Giving Over 100% of his positive energy on stage, in his performance. But, Benny’s Off Time/ Home Life is Less Public; not as visible.
When One asks for a photo with a performer, I think they are usually asking to pose w/ & because of The Singing Entertainer. ( not as much as the Terrific person behind the performer.)
Nope
I meet Mordechai at a bar mitzvah. He was a a jerk...... super shocked and disappointed
Howaya over there brutha yaakov
What is the firmament?
Love you guys, the nation of Israel! Am Israel Hai from Korea. 🇰🇷 🎉

Bal gava is the same if posting your good food or posting when going to shacris
Don't agree
That's you looking at him as a baal gaava for both.... he was talking about him feeling gaava from posting that vs his food
I do so agree with Mordy. And he’s right. I feel so much light coming from Mordy despite that I don’t know what he does in life. I also have great admiration for Benny and feel such light from Him as well. Light comes from the heart.
Mordy, you are correct, Brother. Be organic and real in your private place and with Hashem and family if that’s what’s right for you.
For Benny, more openness may be right for him. If Mordy does it for Benny, it might not be acceptable to Hashem because of the motive. Thoughts.
No intros? Who are these guys? I only know Benny
Agree with Mordy
Totally agree with Mordy! Keep Yiddishkeit and one profession separate!
A gun on table??
ילהטוב לכום😂
