Hey guys this video is specifically for people who study boxing its a break down of the work of Loma if you want to watch without the commentary click here 👉🏾 ua-cam.com/video/yQ_ieejGwWs/v-deo.html
Shaun Fitt There are professionals and there's Professionals. No one I've seen past or present , boxes the way this fella does.
Toe Ba yes he is a very futuristic boxer I study him daily
Shaun Fitt I used to love watching the Bodysnatcher Mike McCallum. Very subtle moves.
I will have to look him up never seen him fight.. thanks for the plug
Shaun Fitt watch the 3rd round vs Donald Curry.
This thing is not human. The speed and agility is unreal.
wtf he read minds or slow the time or what🤤
And he is using 20 oz gloves
if he do that in front of pacman he well fall asleep in 5minutes
+Marily Arong bcz of pac's split counter
Lol
Lomachenko is one of the most gifted boxers ever to do it.
suchasin Fact
The best of this era
@@robmackie4460 Totally agree. He is better than Ali.
@@superjoseco7279idk about all that
His opponent is olympic silver medalist
imagine you fight loma
your saying that like it's an insult that's really hard to do as a boxer
lol.... i loose quickly, but in your imagination you proubably winning
Tariq Slaton I think he said it for context, so people don't think his opponent is just some nobody.
Tariq Slaton how does it sound like insult to you?!?
The reason his jab is the best is because he is actually right handed
that is true
Skull Full he's naturally right handed. Which is awesome because he's almost always in southpaw. Man I wish I had the loot and time to train.
Skull Full it’s a possibility man, unlikely and your gonna have to work your ass off but don’t hesitate n start today
Skull Full Different things work for different fighters. I’m naturally right handed and I grew up fighting with my right foot forward. Even when I started actual boxing. To me that was more comfortable. I had to learn to fight orthodox which earned my a lot of beatings but now I’m comfortable either way which throws a lot of guys off when you change angles. I’m too much of a slob now to actually compete though I just train to stay in shape these days.
Same with Dela Hoya. His jab was so sweet because he's left handed and Cotto'a left hooks are lethal because he's left handed too
Lomachenko is just too precise with all his movements everything has a purpose. He trains each twitch of the muscle each reaction all the intricate details, everything is just so fluid it’s a dual offense- defense. He is so relaxed and has high levels of awareness and sensitivity. He truly is a grandmaster of boxing without a doubt. Thank you Shaun for this video we need more footage like this! I subscribed bro
I always tell people when I teach to learn to miss well. You’re gonna miss. Missing with balance is where lomo is able to stay a step ahead. Like you said always so neutral and balanced. Perfect
And keeping in mind that Berichnik is one of the best boxers of Ukraine and Europe)) ITs not a guy from the street to play with)
Alkor Melesker hes just working with vasyl chill. Its obviously a drill. The dudes not REALLY trying to box normally.
Beautiful work love that Jab and movement!!
I like the Bruce Lee opening very cool
yes, Bruce Lee speaks truth , we must learn about losing, dying ,defeat, because we all want to win but understanding the possibilities of ways we can lose can open our minds to an entirely new world...
He got his fighting style from Bruce lee he fights with his power and dominate hand forward
It’s like he’s creating art in there there’s a sweet science to what he’s doing 😮 it just unbelievable. He’s created a genius style it’s like a video game
Good vid bro Loma is a beast, that jab drill really highlights his fluid movement and how he translates offense to defense well good stuff bro
ON THE CORNER IN THE CORNER BOXING Daddy P fact.. Thanks for the support
Your on point with analysis . Appreciate your work , Big ups from New Zealand.
Excellent footage keep these videos coming thank you!
Good video, and good analysis. When I used to compete in Karate, we would train feet against hands, and then vice versa, to sharpen them up. This is a great variation on that, and it's another reason why Loma is as good as he is. Too many people just spar all out, and never take the time to realize what may be a hole in their game, until they're in a fight, and it's too late. Good stuff.
Love this video breakdown. Short, succinct, and sweet. Keep up the good work. Subscribed.
gdsmith27 thanks for the support
Thank you for posting
Great footwork...excellent body control
Great vid..will be practicing this exercise! Thanks for sharing!
🐐 who ever lived
His right is dominant. .. puts extra sauce on the jab
BUILDSforDRIVING its cool to know that Loma knows hes not a knockout artist so he switches to Southpaw and increases the accuracy of his lead hand,
Nice breakdown. I liked that you discussed the technique of the movements as well as the strategy of when and why to apply them. Rarely do you get both.
russ Malcolm thanks i just love the sweet science
Beautiful thanks for making these sweet videos for studying boxing 👊🏽
Thanks Shaun ...pretty good video👏
No Problem more and more coming
that's loma. from his amateur days. old video but that's him. rare thing. usually his dad doesn't allow to film his sparrings.
he's like super spy, very shrewd dude his dad
berinchyk is his old friend. he also had some relationship with loma's sister
Matthew Anthony lol "mayweather thing" gtfo
@@gonzaquiroga8334 the day Lomachenko fights with more pounds he can prove he's the best. Until then it'll be just beautiful boxing and bla bla....
I also believe he can do it, but 10 professional fights doesn't make him the best.
The best was, Oscar, Pac, Marquez, Mayweather, Julio Cesar, Garcia, ....All fought different divisions. Lomachenko needs more CV.
@@sentinela8775 You're not wrong, but the best were Muhammad Ali, Pacman, and Mike Tyson. I do believe Loma will be the best of his time, and he won't fight 40+ bums like others. But yeah you're right, he'll prove himself once he goes up in divisions.
Wow! Just wow! What a great footwork
Awesome video, thanks man
No problem!
Love the videos ShaunFitt definitely a life time subscriber to your page.. Loma is a beast in the ring
wow he makes it look so easy
His angles are INSANE!
You sound like mayweather lol
Bumble BeeYaj no he doesn’t
Sounds nothing like mayweather
Bumble BeeYaj yea kinda
I can hear it lol
Rondo Capone the first time i saw this video i thought it was mayweather who was talking
Gotta respect the skills
Thanks MAN.
Loma is a gifted fighter. I am amazed at his footwork. He is fluid with his hands and constantly moving. Still im not forgetting the salido fight. But he is fun to watch. Just need more fights before i annoint him the greatest. Peace n smoke.
interesting video Shaun, nice job narrating it too, some people don't realize how important footwork is in boxing!
Thanks Brian
Berinchyk won the silver medal in the light welterweight division at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku. He went on to win the silver medal in the same division at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[2]
I’ve been boxing or coaching boxing for 24 years, and I’ve heard a lot of dudes comment some bullshit on their videos. A lot of nonsense. This here is some good, efficient, useful commentary.
it's a good drill many pros don't do, but lets not blow another one of loma's drills out of proportion again. every time loma does something with tennis balls, juggling, puzzles, etc. u get ppl thinking they are more than they actually are. loma is just having fun doing these on camera on purpose cause the public's reaction/awe is so hilarious.
Azu Shi yeah that is a good point..
Azu Shi Maybe. But the science behind it is evidence and facts.
Please... He is amazing. Hes moved up already 3 maybe 4 divisions after late pro start. Now hes fighting guys way bigger than him and still is jus as hard to hit as mayweather, but while coming forward. Only other fighter on his level is crawford.
Great video. Thank you.
Gestr no problem more to come....
Who else watched at half speed to catch every little movement?
The absolute best, hands down. I bet he would be the only boxer to give Mayweather problems
audio quality on point
watching loma fight is like playing fight night champion
Loma is on another level.
Sounds like bernard hopkins, especially when you said "the sweet science"
He's from another worldddddddd........
This is great light sparring for both sides. Cause vasyl is very strong
Travin Jones definitely.. Someone posted a video of them two actually fighting in amateurs was way different then this video..
This man is the truth
Very astute for a young guy, most old heads arent aware of the things that you pointed out. That is why Gervonta cant beat him. Every thing that he does is balanced, everything. He is never off balance like manny. Floyd is the same way.
These thumbs down are coming from Lopez Davis Garcia, even salty Gary Russell, Im in awe when you see someone so special like Loma, great commentary
Great video and commentary. You understand boxing very well.
Yo you should do more videos like this
Hey bro. This is very good commentary. Keep it up bro.
I would like to see other boxers of sparring and commenting too. If you could upload would be very much appreciated.

Michael Colicino thanks bro more videos coming...
Good Comments and Observations Shaun !!!
Thank you, more content coming!
Yeah man, ok man, no man, with you man, beautiful man, sweet science man...... Oh MAN!!!!!
Fantastic video. You got a subscribe. Everything you said was spot on, and I can tell you've actually boxed before unlike some of the clowns who make content on UA-cam (I'm looking at you, Ellie Nutsack). I've done conditioned sparring before, but only ever with one hand, with all shots allowed. In this video Lomachenko's only allowed the left jab and he still throws 100 punches per round. The fitness alone is incredible, but the fact that he's facing Denys Berinchyk, who won silver medals at both the Olympics and World Championships at LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT, is even more impressive. This guy is two divisions above him, and Lomachenko is making him look like an amateur. If any of us faced Berinchyk in the ring, the boot would be on the other foot. We'd be beaten all over the ring from start to finish. But Lomachenko is putting on a clinic with one hand. Unbelievable.
Dave Smith hey man thank you I appreciate the love and support in definitely a fan of the sweet science I study it all day also I box as well.. More content coming soon
Loma the best look at that movement and his iq is insane 😊😊😊
This isn't new though. But it's a great drill , that most trainers today , don't make their fighters go through. In the 80's...we DID THIS ALL THE TIME.
pistolero518 so it's more old school.. Thanks for sharing that information
Shaun Fitt...this is definitely an old school drill. Today's fighters , along with their trainers , have bought into this "new scientific" approach. Which isn't always good for boxing.
Conditioned sparring has been around a lot longer than the 1980s. Jack Blackburn was training the great Joe Louis in one-hand fighting in the 1920s. coxscorner.tripod.com/blackburn.html
My own thought on one-hand fighting is this: if you've got a weak punch, sloppy technique or a slack throw, the quickest and most efficient way to improve it is to get in the ring and throw only that punch with someone who punishes your mistakes. Once bitten, twice shy: you soon learn the error of your ways.
But you can do the same routine on the heavy bag, on the mitts and in shadow boxing. I routinely do 30-30-30 (another old school drill) with only one hand. It's killer cardio but more importantly it builds speed, power and accuracy for a specific shot. A lot of boxers today would benefit from these old school methods. Ali and Frazier fought for 15 rounds in unairconditioned halls, and neither of them ever chugged a protein shake, wore a high-altitude mask, or spent time in a sub-zero cooling chamber!
100% agree
you said it well!!!! I would elaborate that he weights the jab that stops an advance. a slight "sit down to push a wall" in a split second is a weapon to the body or head/hands. you said that discourages them advancing and I couldn't agree more. but that takes practice and trust in your developed skill. I love watching a skilled boxer who understands that weapon! obviously gotta have skill and power to start. lol probably not gonna walk in the gym with that unscathed if you aren't aware of thr return on missed.
.....
.
Man wtf!🔥🔥☀👍👍
Ali used this training long time ago, straight jabs no right hands during sparring. Even in a few fights he didn't throw the right hand in the first couple rounds.
that'll be like Haney trying to come in , getting pop shotted. Go Loma
Good video 👍🏽
what I hate is when people see this man who had to go up two weights to fight the bigger guys cause guys at his weight would not fight him so he fights the bigger guys and haters claim he has no skills. I watch him and see nothing but skill. watch the little guy beat up the big guys and everyone claims the next big guy will KO him. Still waiting!
His dad works with several fighters in their team also.
i like that intro.
Nobody better than him.
Great video thanks man :) Miles Cobbett, Author of the 5 Star boxing book Champion on Amazon
Dude is fucking slick! Gg great defense
After starting boxing I've noticed that there are 3 things you need to be aware of Distance, timing and positioning. We all know Loma dominates in those fields.
He made that sparring partner say no mas with one arm
a true gift for boxing :-D
hes the one, bc he look like a super human
How old is this footage?
Disrespecting a silver medalist that’s his opponent know your shit
Nice
Wow
The other guy is probably not even a bad boxer. Loma's just too fuckin good :D
ez work
The other boxer that loma is sparring with, is using a boxing style that is hard against someone with a slick and fast, well timed and calculated jab that loma is using. Mainly because the whole body rotates with the head to dodge the punches and you need to unload that punch with speed and power, but since this is sparring it is rather hard to use that style without going overboard. Much like how Tyson’s peekaboo style is a bit odd to go slow and light with since it telegraphs rather easily until you add quick slips and fast speed to those movements, it makes devastating punches with that style. A bit disadvantageous but nevertheless it is the style that the partner uses and crafted his own way, just interesting to see from and outside view.
Dude I thought it was floyd Mayweather jr commentating lol
I sometimes train one handed shadow boxing with the other hand on my back
just be careful that you dont get into the habit of putting your hand down
Maybe tape one hand to your cheek and hit with one hand, you can indeed pick up the habit of putting your hand down
Tape one hand to your cheek? You're either a fool or the greatest comedian on this thread. Either way, I salute you.
You should also train on the heavy bag with one hand and do conditioned sparring (what Lomachenko is doing here). But you should NEVER drop the hand you don't use or pull it behind your back. The hand you don't use needs to be glued to your chin (not literally of course) until you throw it or block with it. Anything else is a bad habit.
Dave Smith and why is that mister dick head? This is a common thing trainers do with their boxers (when people drop their hand), idont see putting one hand behind your back while sparring helping, you cant practice defence and you can pick up the habbit to drop your hand, i was trying to give some advise you bitch.
Bruce lee said this meny years before anyone
LOMO Trivia: Which fight did Lomo win ( As A Pro) with one Hand, by knock out :)
BTW, Great Clip ! keep up the great work.
When was this video shot? This is not a sparring session, its just a workout, and I would think, due to the oversized gloves, that he's working to build that right shoulder back up ( the one he had surgery on)
Really great clip. great commentary
Thanks :)
The jab made champions.
“The other guy” you’re talking about in there has forgotten more than you’ll ever pretend to know. Big difference sparring in the gym and fighting under the lights champ
Jesus he's good
Opponent is using peekaboo style. Loma is the evolution of cus D'Amato style
Olympic style boxer. Understands how to accumulate points and win rds.
THANKS FOR WATCHING , EVERYONE HIT THE THUMBS UP BUTTON AND SUBSCRIBE MORE CONTENT COMING...
his opponent is not doing have sparring, he his doing light just to do a conditional sparring.
