How can you be happy, Preston, when so many people are willfully ignorant? They think we're literally handing cash to Ukraine! No! We're sending old equipment, and using the money to buy/research newer, better military equipment for our troops. Can someone please help me explain these things to these people. It's like explaining things to goldfishes! I'm sorry I'm insulting your fans, Preston, but it feels tiresome and sad to see very young adults reject proper research and critical thinking in favor of one-liners and fictitious memes. I just want my country to be ok!

Watching other Americans intentionally spread disinformation in the comment section is like seeing people in Portland Oregon (no offense Oregonians!) inject themselves with fentanyl. But no matter how much you dissuade them from it, they don't listen. It's like they're hooked on intentionally lying to themselves, and will lash out if you spray them with Narcan/the truth. I've seen videos of it too! Homeless addicts getting upset at cops for spraying them, and they just wander off like zombies to find more drugs.

@@PrestonStewart this is really money allocated by congress to ukraine so sending them a big batch of weapons to buffer the ukrainians is not a bad thing. in reality i think biden was making a contingency plan in case trump won. so biden only sending 6 billion of the 60 billion was a way to buffer military aid rather than have ukraine have nothing when trump came to office putting them in a desperate situation. also the russian economy isnt doing great either so ukraine having 8-10 months of supply is probably a good thing. allows ukraine to keep fighting while the russian economy starts to crack at a faster pace. go look at the russian rouble value, its likely to drop to 200-300 roubles for 1 usd in next 6-8 months. and as russian inflation skyrockets next 6 months with declining oil price, its gonna put russia in a bad situation. putin already announced he is rolling back wounded compensation to russia soldiers. you dont do that because everything is great. means the russians are in a cash crunch.

@@PrestonStewart you have to realize biden sending only 6 billion of 60 billion was planning for a trump win in case it happened. so when biden sends 54 billion in ammo and weapons in next 3 months, ukraine wont really need trump to pass a new aid package. it will allow time to pass where the russian economy likely starts to crumble even more where a deal is more likely. it was always about the russian economy cracking, allowing for ukraine to win like the ussr/afghan war. so with ukraine having enough ammo and weapons, ukraine wont be forced to take a bad deal that rewards russia. although it was rough for ukraine, i think biden made the right plan holding back 54 billion of the military aid to be send in the last 3 months so ukraine can keep fighting for a good 8-10 months at least.

How strange is this situation? Combat half way around the globe is dictated by the period between the US election and inauguration. The objectives aren’t tactical or operational, but strategic based in how events will be perceived. Perhaps there is something inherently flawed in our foreign policy when our allies fear a disastrous withdrawal of support based upon a change of administration?

The troops in Europe are US troops in US bases working for US interests (NATO allies are a second thought) , such as Rota (the biggest and most important naval base for the US on this side of the Atlantic where DDGs are permanently based, SSNs stop and ships are refuelled and rearmed) and the US air bases in Spain, Rammstein in Germany (biggest US air base in Europe and essential for the US personnel transfers between the USA and the Middle East ), air bases in the UK (essential to the USA’s airplanes, mostly strategic bombers) etc.
These are troops present in US bases, so I don’t see the US having their own bases manned by another country’s troops, nor do I see the hosting nations which accepted deals with the USA for these bases seeing another country occupying them.
    It’s literally infeasible and unrealistic.

Ukraine can’t hold it forever and in the process is losing territory everyday against the Russians while sending 30,000 badly needed experienced soldiers into a pointless battle. I’m all for ukraine btw I just think this was a miscalculation

    • @giovanni-ed7zq

nah, you are assuming the russians were not gonna invade through sumy which it looked like they were gonna do. ukraine went into russia because they thought they couldnt hold sumy. so now the fighting and destruction is happening on russian territory. in addition the casualty rates going up for russia which puts strain on their recruitment. lets say what you saying happens, do you think russia with 50k soldiers in kursk are gonna stop at the ukraine border to sumy? likely not. so its better to fight in russia where they are losing men and destroying russian infrastructure.
biden sends the remaining 54 billion in military aid to ukraine, they will have enough ammo to keep fighting for another 8-10 months while the russian economy is cracking. go look at rouble value, its at 100 roubles for 1 usd. could see that fall to 200-300 roubles for 1 usd next 6 months with russian inflation spiking to hyperinflation.

@@giovanni-ed7zq Ultimately, Russia will not care if the ruble goes to 1000 to 1 USD. It is Russian territory, and historical precedence they care about. Russian population 2024: 143 million, Ukrainian population 2024: 37 million. The math does not favor Ukraine. Fighting on for another 8-10 months only hurts Ukraine worse than Russia. As much as I would like to see Ukraine "win", this is becoming less realistic by the day. Ukraine has already lost a generation of men in this war; they can ill afford what is becoming little more than a suicide mission.

This entire video is one big contradiction. Ukriane is losing ground everywhere but Russia is somehow losing. I think the information bubble will soon pop for a lot of people.
My favorite part of ALL of these videos is the highly specific guessing about Russian casualty numbers, then a pregnant pause when a normal person would specilate about the opposing sides casualties... Then it never happens.
Ukraine somehow started the war with way more troops and has maintained some astonishing kill ratio but is now severely short on troops.... It makes sense if you dont think about it.
Everyone seems to agree the vast majority of casualties have come from artillery snd that russia has many times the amount of fires from just about any source.... But somehow the casualties are incredibly lopsoded against russia. Ok.

UA business and trade will certainly drop if there is no US support, both because the replacement gov't would be pro-RU and because the Ukrainians will know the US is not trustworthy. UA has very potent fertilizer; carbon fuels; grain; and other resources, and market access will decrease. Similar things may happen across other European nations for similar reasons. US prices will increase to reflect this.
UA is also one of two nations with experience in peer war, so losing ties with them means losing that pool of knowledge. US has experience in COIN but not LSCO, so this sets the US back in a hypothetical conflict with RU and CN (CN can still collect knowledge from RU). US military spending will be even less effective because there is less knowledge.
Article 5 with NATO is more likely to happen against RU as the rest of EU will be at greater risk. A pro-RU UA gov't means RU has more industry and resources to replenish itself. Regardless of how the low-spenders in NATO change their policy, it will still take time for NATO to arm themselves; they are effectively caught with their pants down. Much of western Europe isn't ready, and the eastern Europeans have NATO as a part of their military strategy. If Article 5 happens, the US is politically obligated to send troops like NATO did for the US during Afghanistan, and there is no doubt American blood will spill for Europe again.
Noting here that a world divided into "spheres of influence" like during the later half of the 20th century (where we had a USSR side and a NATO side) is very dangerous, because it allows for scenarios like the Cold War to happen. If WW3 occurs, it'll be because of that: too many countries on both sides.
I do hope the incoming administration can get a good peace agreement without screwing over UA. But I don't think it's likely.
If the war continues, I do think it's economically, politically, and morally correct to continue supporting UA, if only because preventing a WW3 scenario by keeping RU in a lesser position is infinitely preferable to fighting WW3.
Of course, many Americans have isolationist sentiments (in terms of overseas conflicts) and justifiably so. But I think the world is too interlinked and the US is too big for them to stay out forever. The US didn't want to be involved in WW1 and WW2, but it was dragged in regardless.

The United States has a documented history of withdrawing support from other nations during pivotal and often critical moments. A significant portion of the American populace tends to prioritize domestic concerns, often displaying a degree of detachment from global humanitarian crises. While this self-focused perspective is, to some extent, understandable given the complexities of domestic issues, it fails to acknowledge the shared humanity of those impacted by such crises. In conflict zones, countless families endure unimaginable losses-parents mourning their children, children orphaned, and entire communities devastated. This prevailing mindset among many Americans, one that implicitly views the United States as isolated or distinct from the broader global community, fosters a dangerous lack of empathy. Consider, for a moment, how it might feel to lose a parent or a child at the hands of foreign invaders. Such a perspective underscores the critical need for greater global awareness and compassion, qualities that seem to be underrepresented in the collective American consciousness.

As Kogline said, many nations have suffered far worse. Ukraine will be devastated by the aftermath, but the only thing you can do after a war is recover, clean up, and move on. Vietnam suffered through horrendous economic times during the 80s. My family lived through such a time, and even after the horrible wars (multiple more conflicts happened after the Americans left), Vietnam found its footing and pulled itself back up.

Would like to se you make a video we’re you brake down all the losses, with facts and logic, not from Ukraine sources or some other pro anything spokesperson.
If Ukraine have all this shortage of manpower, and no soldiers have been able to leave the army during this war, we’re are all the troops?
They have mobilised, and they had an initial large army, we’re are they?
More then a million men in arms.
Ukraine said that 31 000 have died, how can they have issues manning the trenchers when Russia have lost over 700 000 dead and 2.2 million wounded according to Ukraine?

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched surprise assault on the city of Kupyansk on the northern Donbass frontlines. As a result of successful offensive operations, Russian forces broke through Ukrainian defense and gained a foothold in the city. According to both Russian and Ukrainian military sources, the first Russian attack was launched on the evening of November 13th. Two Russian assault groups on armored vehicles moved from their military positions in the area of Liman Pervy toward Kupyansk. According to the Ukrainian military, the first Russian assault group included 2 MT-LB armored vehicles, an infantry fighting vehicle and a tank. Ukrainian soldiers could not reveal the number of vehicles in the second assault group because it entered the battle late in the evening. As a result of the surprise assault, Russian tank and at least one of the MT-LB armored vehicles from the first group broke through Ukrainian defense, entered the city and passed along Svatovska street. On Nekrasova street it came under Ukrainian fire but it was too late because about 15 Russian stormtroopers already attacked Ukrainian positions in the city and captured Ukrainian strongholds in the buildings. Their positions were soon reinforced by other soldiers.
Ukrainian media shared the footage of the battles on the city outskirts.
After the first day of urban battles, Russian stormtroopers supported by armored vehicles gained a bridgehead in the city. The first line of Ukrainian defense was destroyed, and the Ukrainian command is forced to urgently send reinforcement to stop Russian advance in the city, including additional forces from the villages nearby that were thrown into the battle for Kupyansk.
The Ukrainian military were surprised by unexpected Russian assault and are forced to repel the attacks by cannon fodder. Heavy battles are ongoing on the outskirts.
According to Russian reports from the battlefield, the reserve units thrown into battles in Kupyansk are not trained and mainly include soldiers taken from hospitals and men captured on the streets. As a result, Ukrainian forces are suffering heavy losses threatened by the upcoming reinforcement of the Russian group in the city.
If Russian forces manage to save control of the captured positions and expand their bridgehead in the city, the Ukrainian garrison deployed on the left bank of the Oskol River will face heavy supply problems, since earlier the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation took control of the village of Kolesnikovka and cut Ukrainian supply road to Borovaya.
The villages of Grigorovka and Petrovka near Selidovo came under the control of the Russian Army.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky may be fired, and deputies will use Maryana Bezuglaya to test the mood in society, - General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Krivonos
According to the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces, “It is Maryana Bezuglaya who is the specific trigger that determines all the existing problems.”
Krivonos believes that Bezuglaya is being used by the authorities to shift the blame for all failures onto the Ukrainian military.

I don't see there being a gap in resources considering how much is likely to be sent. I would expect Ukraine to try and stretch all that aid out until Trump makes a decision. If he decides to support them then maybe they go HAM with the massive stockpile they will soon be handed. If decides not to they will likely use it more sparingly as they will then have to rely solely on Europe for aid.

Dara Massicot overlooked some key factors.
She said that Ukraine basically has enough weapons. Ukraine is missing key weapons without restrictions, that would be a significant problem for Russia. The lack of these key weapons, without restrictions on their use, over the last 2 to 3 years has caused tremendous, unnecessary atrophy to the AFU.
She says that Ukraine's biggest shortage is infantry. While Russia's lines of communication back into Russia and its Military-industrial complex in Russia have been off limits, how would Ukraine ever have enough infantry? Even if Ukraine's population were larger than Russia's it still wouldn't be enough under these imposed circumstances.
Most of Russia's progress this year has been enabled by it's liberal use of glide bombs and missiles dropped from aircraft. Ukraine needs the weapons to shoot down those aircraft, it's not an infantry issue.
Her perspective seems to be that of someone who wants to blame Ukraine rather than find solutions.
When we get directly involved we'll do everything that we wouldn't let Ukraine do.
I'm ashamed of how the US has been playing this war.

Without the men and materials to make another offensive they will be looking at slowly but surely losing ground to the Russians.

    • @MD-gk4uh
      @MD-gk4uh Місяць тому

How dumb can you be? Do you know why Russia is not worried about any Russian territory lost? Cause all they have to do ones they have the Russian regions of Ukraine under control is to tell the west: you got 10 days to have Ukraine pull out of the region or we will utilized our constitutional right that’s well documented for last 80 years to use tactical nukes to defend the Russian homeland. And the wonderful thing about that is that they won’t have to “play chicken”. It gives them perfect excuse under UN charter to use nukes for self defense 😂
Also, you can see how the western media and UA-camr are dumb about what is happening with Kursk region and North Korean troops. It’s clear that they have a natural protection agreement and Putin has used the Kursk inversion to justify on “calling support” as it is Russian soil similar to NATO members agreement to protect each others if one is attacked. Has nothing to do with “desperation”
He can then utilize those troops to free up his troops and send them to Ukraine.
Ukraine is fighting to enslave Russian people on their own lan that they lived for 1000 years. You realy think there is a future where those people will let Kiev rule over them? Putin warned the west about it ever since 2014. He wasn’t bluffing and he won’t be when he makes the offer the west won’t be able to refuse: Nukes or Ukraine, have at it.😂
Can’t wait for Trump to just leave Europe and Ukraine to their own demise. West Europe chooses to terrorize their own citizens by letting millions of criminals into their countries. They not helping Ukraine cause of good will. They want to enslave Ukraine people for next 100 years. It’s all about the money in the west. I’m sure western companies are all ready drawing plans on who gets what peace of Ukraine. I say let the west Europe send their own solders to die for it.
