This exercise is helping release my tension so much, this is really a game changer because I havebeen singing with a tight larynx for so long. Will definitely continue doing this every day

Hi, I'm Liili from Sweden.Been singing in a chour for the past 35 yrs and used to take singing lessons but since I moved to a new town I haven't had any coaching. Have looked into several coaches here on Y-Tube and becoming more and more discouraged...then I found you Meli :-D. During one of your excersizes I was almost brouht to tears. The feeling of hope and being able to improve my singing overwhelmed me. I really apreciate your calmness and clarity during the lessons. Bundles thanks to you.

Butterflies Will Break Your Heart you’re so welcome 🙏🏻❤️
@@melimusiclessons can you make a video on different jaw positions when singing.
And can you further explain the little smile singers do when they sing higher. Does that extend the range of it?
Butterflies Will Break Your Heart that sounds like a great idea for a video ! I’ll keep it in mind 😊
@@melimusiclessons thanks so much! ^_^
Thk u for this i been singing 8 yrs always good to touch up!😁
Great lesson thank you👍👍👍
Great lesson!
My problem is my speaking voice usually using low larynx, i'm never realize it until took a voice lesson. Then i hate my speaking voice when using neutral larynx cause sounds too feminime to me
Morty Mekel i understand ! Hopefully you can still use that technique for higher pitched songs . I find that everything you learn is helpful someway or another
it's been a long time waiting for you videos
Maxsuel Oliveira haha ! That's awesome 😊
Thanks you so much mam
Alis Dora you're very welcome !
Thanks a lot you r great 🤩😍😍😘
Very useful tip.
Good teacher
I feel like I sing entirely with a moving larynx. When I try to sing vibrato, I’m just shaking my larynx, when I try to do ascending/ descending runs my larynx is just going up or down & when I try to high belt... yikes. And idk how to stop :/
ugh sameee :/
melaina.xoxoxo we suck :/
I noticed this voice lesson i make perfect sing..

Hi, first I want to say thank you for this incredible video. Second, I want to ask you for an advice. The last 3 years my voice has been feeling like it is blocked in t "mask" and this effect even my speaking voice. The result is than I need to pull up my larynx every time I have to speak. This makes my throat hurt sometimes. What can I do to make my voice natural again??I wish you will answer, I really need help.Thank you so much.
I have this problem. Did you find a solution?
Can someone please tell me the DIFFERENCES between Riffs, Runs & Legato in singing? Are they all same with different names?
Anita Sahoo I can help 😊-
A run is when you unite different notes together one after the other, normally is used as an embellishment of the original melody . A Riff is the repetition of that run, repeated melodic idea.
They are usually legato ( connected ) when you sing them
Idk whats wrong but I can sing fast runs but im having trouble with the slow ones idk what do u call the slow ones ahhh I cant explain:(
Shahbi Saqib just take one step at a time , if you’re having trouble with slow runs it means your vocal chords need to be stronger and flexible , this will come with time ... I recommend like 2 months at least
Hi..can u pls write it down what u singing
I'm having a very time hitting my E note! Its very weak! How can I hit it with volume and good tone? thanks!
Bigasstbone I would recommend to hit the note at least 10 times per day with a softer voice , so your muscles can get used to it , and after one week maybe trying it with more air. Seems you need to keep working on flexibility for a little longer .
My teachers says to lower my larynx. I have a difficult time because its raises a bit when I try to hit the higher note. The objective is to strengthen the muscles that support the larynx. Are the long tone notes we do in warm up the best way to strengthen these muscles? Thanks again for you help! Much appreciated!
Hi ! , In this video I suggested to keep the larynx neutral, but your larynx will move a little bit, its natural. With almost every video I posted we can strengthen the singing muscles and by singing you do so as well. The idea is to have the correct position of your mouth and correct points of resonance so your sound can travel freely. Hope that works!
This is great Thanks! Sometimes when I have tension I get a machine gun like vibrato. When I hear this it lets me know there's tension. Something I'm still working on.
@@Bigasstbone hi,what do you mean you get a machine gun?

I'm just singing flat at this point 🥲
It takes time ! Don’t give up
I feel so confused about this lyrnx stuff.. I was watching a video before this about singers pushing/pulling theirs vs when they rnt. The whole tension vs free and I can’t tell the difference when I’m listening xD :( I also feel my Adam apple move up quite a bit from just talking vs when I’m not so now I feel confused about that too
you might want to check out Jesse Nemez on tension vs straining in singing (if you haven't already), I struggle with the same issue, and found that very helpful.
Puddi Kat your larynx moves for sure . The trick is to try to relax it as much as possible by following the correct vocal technique . When you go for higher or lower notes make sure your jaw feels free and relaxed. It takes time , but keep it up ! ❤️
Hi
Are you greek? :p
