Hi everyone! There are some things in here that a bit out-of-date - defense pen is now 20% (some tables still mention 15%), and the A5 DOT is nerfed from 2% -> 1.5% max HP. These changes are very minimal and shouldn't affect any important comparisons. Also apologies if the quality is a bit lower than normal! I had to put this together in 2 days (calculator work, consolidation of maths, script writing, recording, editing) as I'll be busy with other things for the rest of this week. If there are any other updates, I'll add them to this comment: UPDATES 1) I've fixed a bunch of abnormalities with the calculator... however, when using it, make sure you set your attack stats properly, even for elements that aren't used in the build! The calculator will weight down any elements lower than the higher attack. 2) Fenrir's matrix calculations are slightly off. They should be around 2% higher for 0* and 1% less for 3*. 3) Fenrir teams' theoretical damage is actually higher than shown in this video, after the fixing of a few bugs. @@Maygi I don’t plan on using that comp. My rainbow comp will be Fenrir, Alyss, and Lan - so we should focus on which ever will be the DPS in that case?
@@jikookietings2507 Lan isn't out yet, so how could anyone answer that question? The true answer is full rolls into flat attack, but you don't want that answer.
genuine question for more clarification. so with A3 Lin/ A1 Saki/ A1 Fenrir? the rotation will be something like 1. Lin - moonlight realm (activates saki's reset counter) 2. Saki - flashing stream (saki's reset counter = 1) 3. Fen - soul master (saki's reset counter = 2) 4. Fen A1 - aural fever (saki's reset counter = 3) 5. Fen A1 - reset aural fever (saki's reset counter = 4) considering the realm is 20 sec and saki's reset needs to activate 5 skills. What will be the final skill to trigger the reset? or saki's reset counter, count's the moment you use moonlight realm cause base on the video it doesn't.

I’m going to be running Lin, nemesis and fenrir. Fenrir will use 2 crow and 2 Samir. Nemesis has 4 piece coco and Lin has 4 piece Lin. Would it be wise to use a 4 piece fenrir on nemesis? Or get a 4 piece tian for fenrir. My 2 piece Samir is max star and 1 of my crow matrix is max star.

My question now is, was Lin’s damage taken into calculation with the damage the matrix’s provide (tian vs fenrir) because tian gives volt damage, not volt attack. And fenrir gives final damage which Lin will benefit from. My Lin is A6 so she does a lot of damage.
@@NuclearGaming02 It is theorycrafting after all. About Lin's dmg, it seems to be included. Though with Fenrir as your main DPS, you're probably gonna use Lin only when applying buff/discharge. I already tried computing and Tian Lang matrices is up about 3~4% (4PC set) vs Fenrir 4pc. The calculation was made based on the ff: Matrices: 4pcLin(A0), 2PC Samir+ 2PC crow(a2-assuming that you're a D1 player), 4Pc Fenrir/Tian -- Weapons: Nemesis, Lin, Fenrir.

So if fenrir using lin matrices, and TL and lin both using fenrir and TL matrices all 3* vs fenrir using samir crow 3* with TL and lin 3* as offhand matrices which one better? As i assume from your videos it that it's really no need to pull. Well tbh seeing her 2 set matrices only gives little boost crit dmg and if for rainbow team we still using TL matrices? Because his 4set matrices need volt weapon skill or discharge
Your effort is highly appreciated! However, i feel that the Fenrir 3-star advancement has like 20 - 30% DPS increase on Saki's team .... Assuming that you do Fenrir's full rotation 2 times and you attack both the spirit and physical body of the enemy, the total % multiplier would be like 7418% and the Songworld Quake would add another 2600% of top (650*4). (2600/7418)*100 = about 35% dps increase and on my Lin Saki Fenrir team, Fenrir does like 75% of Damage and mostly from skill spamming. What are your thoughts on this one? Thanks in Advance!
Hi !! Good catch - I double checked the logic and math and found a bug with the quake count! It turns out to be a ~13% increase in DMG for a Saki team, as opposed to the smol amount it was before
Am I the only one that's mad coz tian just can't be on top even with fenrir, considering his high risk high reward and also the removal of his s? Even nemesis is on par with tion? This is so........
yeah this kinda weird when i think about it too. Like A3 fenrir literally require lost 45% of hp in order to deal dmg and who else could make that happen easier than TIen Lang? I really confused how the raibow comp can get more dmg buff on fenrir A3 than volt comp in this case

I hope they buff her more with volt comp because it will be pretty stupid if rainbow comp beats volt team by a long shot when Fenrir is supposed to be the face of volt. That will be clownery and tower of frost moments.

Yeah my Tien Lang is only at A1 and this rotation of volt comp really made me thinking... like whether or not i should invest on Tien to a3 instead of Fen to a6... But what if in the same amount of time, Fenrir attack worth than 5 stack of Tien? (cause u'll have to sacrifire few second of tien lang break dance instead of using fenrir attack and skill...etc)
I mean, they didn't balance him and he came in high and mighty and to this day there is only 1 single Tian on my server doing more dps than my samir 6* with 4pc 3* matrices. And that Tian is maxed out 6* 4pc 3* difference is he is also maxed out on the other 2 characters. Where as my other two characters are 4pc 0* his are 4pc 3*. So for sure that's why he does more dps and even then not by much just +/- 10m dps. Every other Tian doesn't even come close to my Samir 40m+ dps in 30 seconds on hotta studios cactus in mirroria. I tried my own Tian 3* with 4pc 1* many times with all the matrices I own and he barely comes up to 27m. Given than Fenrir has received and overall 50%-65% nerf in EVERYTHING I don't think she adds anything more than 7-10% increasee in dps when MAXED. Now do I really want to spend that much money to max her for a 7-10% dps increase? Not really. Who is this character for? Frost just got Alyss and I doubt they'll drop her to swap to Rainbow Fenrir.
Thanks for all the analysis Maygi! Just wanted to Fenrir's optimal note generation combo. It's basically: 1) Fall + Roar (this generates 2 notes) 2) Dodge attack (the dodge generates 1 note, and then the dodge attack itself detonates the 3 notes that have been generated so far) 3) Repeat Did I understand that right? And also, what are the key inputs for Fall + Roar? Edit: Also just noticed something. Are you saying that in a Rainbow Saki comp where you have A6 Lin, you never swap into Saki? She's just there for the skill reset?
Yes, that's correct! For the Fall + Roar, do Jump, hold, then hold again ~ you can instantly cancel the roar as soon as it starts with a dodge, then cancel the dodge as soon as it hits with another jump~ And in an A6 Lin comp, for every rotation with an extra Lin field (not every rotation will have one), you don't need to go to Saki! But you'll have times where you'll need to use that Saki skill still..
@@lsnexus2080 Lin's balance field acts as a resonance for all elements technically speaking, it activates any skill or passive or matrix that requires resonance to work
It's OK to do, but not ideal - it's better to spread it out to make sure you have uptime for the buff. You have plenty of time to rotate between your weapons to use those your extra Lin charges~

I right now have equipped: Fenrir: Crow/Lyra 3* Lin: Lin 4pc 3* Tian: Fenrir 4pc 3* Dont ask why xD.. Now i want to get the Tian matrices into that. Would fenrir be good for my account? I have A1 alyss, A1 saki, A0 lin, A0 frigg. Since the rainbow comp in very strong im confused if fenrir would be good or i should wait for icarus. The reasons why im contemplating Fenrir as a frost main is because she looks fun and it gives me a bit of variety in my account but i dont want to pull if icarus would just be a lot better for me
with this combo in volt team, i think my a1 tien lang didn't have a chance to stack 5 charge since fenrir is 95% on the field. This lead me to a new question that is whether or not i should invest my tien to a3 instead of maximize fenrir to a6 (a3 probably enough... i guess)
I’d say getting fenrir to a6 will give you a bigger power spike. Tian is just not worth it at this point since fenrir is shatter with high damage. It’s better to wait for new volt character that’s coming soon and she could be a charger which gonna benefit volt even more. Or you can consider getting Fiona to replace Tian instead, that also works.
Tian useless? Lmao frost main detected. Dont listen to this guy he clearly doesn’t own Tian lol. Superconductor stacks whenever you discharge with volt weapon, so in this case, discharge with Tian skill, then charge with Lin , skill reset if you have a6 Lin, use Tian skill to stack 1 conductor, then discharge back to Fenrir. If you’re volt main you need fen and tian resonance so go for their A3. Tian volt passive off field buff is a must if you’re a volt main, he’s a great buffer for Fen. You don’t need to A6 Fen, crit is optional. For low spenders, A3 Tian and A3 Fen is the ideal volt dps team.

if I want tian to be the on field weapon, with nemesis-tian-fenrir team (example fenrir only b0 or b1, neme b6 tian b3), what is the rotation for them? 😢
So I'm gonna A6 Fenrir and try maxing her Matrices, is it worth trying to go for Tian Lang when he gets rerun in a couple weeks for a volt team? i have over 500 Red nucs and 60k DC (and 260~ matrix pulls) to max Fenrir so i assume i'll have some leftover be able to get Tian Lang, idk about his matrices tho, i know they're recommended over Fenrir's but I want everything Fenrir maxed because yes. but what matrices would be good for him in a Fenrir comp if i can't get his or is he even worth it when i have A6 Nemesis already.
I used the calculator, and found my rainbow team would do more damage than if I used a team with TL (I plan on getting one for apex on this rerun). However, what I couldn't tell, because it wasn't an option was if the TL 2p would be worth getting. I have a Lin and Saki 4p, 0*, so typically I use them on their respective characters. Saki is only 3*, but Lin and Fenrir are 6*. I'm currently using Samir crow 2p on Fenrir (samir is 3*, but crow is both 2*) Obviously, you wouldn't know for sure, without seeing my account directly, but in your opinion, would a 2p TL have more value for my rainbow team? I was considering Samir 3* TL 0* 2p on Fenrir.
As long as Fenrir is in play, TL 2-piece is massive value, especially in single-target situations. Saki 4p doesn't do much in this comp as it primarily benefits Frost damage (which is like ~10% of the total damage output), so you could put Saki on 2 Tian + 2 King ~

For a team of Lin crow tian (Lin 4pc,Claudia 4pc, samir/crow matrices) Is it worth getting fenrir or tian matrices? I want to replace the samir/crow but don't know whether or not to get fenrirs or tian 4pc.
I did some of these calculations to see if I understood the math. And it took a while but I get it, but also to get your exact numbers I had to use 3 decimal places so I imagine you did the same. Very impressive dedication to your work!
The reset also has a 15s cooldown. However, since Songworld lasts 30s, you Aural Fever + reset + Aural Fever at the beginning, then 15s later, it comes off cooldown then you can use Aural Fever + reset + Aural Fever again~

Hey Maygi, Been playing with the calculator in regards to Fenrir and feel like I'm struggling with figuring out what's best to prioritize. I currently have A1 Fenrir, A6 Lin and A6 Crow. My matrices are 3* 2p crow/samir, 4p 1* Lin and 4p 3* shiro. I was trying to figure out if it's better to go for A1 Saki when she comes back or try to get Fenrir or tian matrices. I keep on getting conflicting opinions on discord and the calculator makes everything seem pretty similar. Also, what would the best matrices placement be? I've been using Lin on Crow, Samir/crow on Fenrir and Shiro on Lin. Thanks if you got the time to give input and good luck gaming on ff14.
umm hey Maygi.. which one is better between Claudia or Fenrir matrice for off-field buff? well.. let's say.. Fenrir uses 2 Samir + 2 Crow Tian uses 4 Fenrir Lin uses 4 Lin compared to Fenrir uses 2 Samir + 2 Crow Tiang uses 4 Lin Lin uses 4 Claudia
As a rainbow main, I found it's more optimal to cancel the discharge from Lin and Saki unless it's for purposes. That means Claudia's matrices is contributing even less. Ideally you'll want a different off field matrices

Can you give us a Rainbow Comp gear/equipment guide? How do we balance the elements? Rolling into general ATK is unrealistic in this game…

As she already mentioned in the pinned comment reply for saki, just focus on volt atk, other attack damage is just roughly 5%
You ignore the second element and focus on the main one.

if you're planning to get Tian matrices, you better affix it to Nemesis/Lin as the effect works on the background.

Do these numbers reflect the further nerfs that were added to global? A1 and A3 were also further nerfed (770%-720%) and (729%-650%) respectively.

since you are not going to use saki 90% of the time and is there for just the reset, its better for a volt atk themed gear

Finally it's my time to shine with Rainbow!!! I've held off on Tian, Alyss, and Lyra because I didn't like them.
You forgot Alyss, Saki, Fenrir which is probably higher than anything else currently.
The standard rotation is only valid if you have A3 tian and A1 Fenrir. Less than that you have to have Tian onfield attacking a lot more.

A6 Crow is better than Nemesis, unless you have A6 Nemesis.

Thanks for all the analysis Maygi! Just wanted to Fenrir's optimal note generation combo. It's basically:
1) Fall + Roar (this generates 2 notes)
2) Dodge attack (the dodge generates 1 note, and then the dodge attack itself detonates the 3 notes that have been generated so far)
3) Repeat
Did I understand that right? And also, what are the key inputs for Fall + Roar?
Edit: Also just noticed something. Are you saying that in a Rainbow Saki comp where you have A6 Lin, you never swap into Saki? She's just there for the skill reset?
1st rotation you use 2 lin skill + 3 fenrir skill reset then 2nd rotation you have to use saki coz you will only have 1 lin skill charge
Yes, that's correct! For the Fall + Roar, do Jump, hold, then hold again ~ you can instantly cancel the roar as soon as it starts with a dodge, then cancel the dodge as soon as it hits with another jump~
And in an A6 Lin comp, for every rotation with an extra Lin field (not every rotation will have one), you don't need to go to Saki! But you'll have times where you'll need to use that Saki skill still..

It's OK to do, but not ideal - it's better to spread it out to make sure you have uptime for the buff. You have plenty of time to rotate between your weapons to use those your extra Lin charges~

Fenrir: Crow/Lyra 3*
Lin: Lin 4pc 3*
Tian: Fenrir 4pc 3*

Seeing a number of whales saying that for matrices Tian + Fenrir + Samir/Crow is highest DPS comp. They drop Lin matrices altogether.

Would fenrir be good for my account? I have A1 alyss, A1 saki, A0 lin, A0 frigg. Since the rainbow comp in very strong im confused if fenrir would be good or i should wait for icarus. The reasons why im contemplating Fenrir as a frost main is because she looks fun and it gives me a bit of variety in my account but i dont want to pull if icarus would just be a lot better for me

with this combo in volt team, i think my a1 tien lang didn't have a chance to stack 5 charge since fenrir is 95% on the field. This lead me to a new question that is whether or not i should invest my tien to a3 instead of maximize fenrir to a6 (a3 probably enough... i guess)
I’d say getting fenrir to a6 will give you a bigger power spike. Tian is just not worth it at this point since fenrir is shatter with high damage. It’s better to wait for new volt character that’s coming soon and she could be a charger which gonna benefit volt even more. Or you can consider getting Fiona to replace Tian instead, that also works.
Tian useless? Lmao frost main detected. Dont listen to this guy he clearly doesn’t own Tian lol. Superconductor stacks whenever you discharge with volt weapon, so in this case, discharge with Tian skill, then charge with Lin , skill reset if you have a6 Lin, use Tian skill to stack 1 conductor, then discharge back to Fenrir. If you’re volt main you need fen and tian resonance so go for their A3. Tian volt passive off field buff is a must if you’re a volt main, he’s a great buffer for Fen. You don’t need to A6 Fen, crit is optional. For low spenders, A3 Tian and A3 Fen is the ideal volt dps team.

So I'm gonna A6 Fenrir and try maxing her Matrices, is it worth trying to go for Tian Lang when he gets rerun in a couple weeks for a volt team? i have over 500 Red nucs and 60k DC (and 260~ matrix pulls) to max Fenrir so i assume i'll have some leftover be able to get Tian Lang, idk about his matrices tho, i know they're recommended over Fenrir's but I want everything Fenrir maxed because yes. but what matrices would be good for him in a Fenrir comp if i can't get his or is he even worth it when i have A6 Nemesis already.

I used the calculator, and found my rainbow team would do more damage than if I used a team with TL (I plan on getting one for apex on this rerun). However, what I couldn't tell, because it wasn't an option was if the TL 2p would be worth getting. I have a Lin and Saki 4p, 0*, so typically I use them on their respective characters. Saki is only 3*, but Lin and Fenrir are 6*. I'm currently using Samir crow 2p on Fenrir (samir is 3*, but crow is both 2*) Obviously, you wouldn't know for sure, without seeing my account directly, but in your opinion, would a 2p TL have more value for my rainbow team? I was considering Samir 3* TL 0* 2p on Fenrir.
As long as Fenrir is in play, TL 2-piece is massive value, especially in single-target situations. Saki 4p doesn't do much in this comp as it primarily benefits Frost damage (which is like ~10% of the total damage output), so you could put Saki on 2 Tian + 2 King ~
Does her A6 boost the Crit rate of background attacks from other weapons?
Yep! The crit rate boost is a visible stat increase that you can see on your character page, so it'll benefit all attacks~

I did some of these calculations to see if I understood the math. And it took a while but I get it, but also to get your exact numbers I had to use 3 decimal places so I imagine you did the same. Very impressive dedication to your work!

Hi, how come my Fenrir A1 can only do 2 aural fever and then cooldown does not reset when I try a third time?
The reset also has a 15s cooldown. However, since Songworld lasts 30s, you Aural Fever + reset + Aural Fever at the beginning, then 15s later, it comes off cooldown then you can use Aural Fever + reset + Aural Fever again~
My line up will eventually be A3 Tian, A6 LIN, and A1 Fenrir. Can I use 4 pc Shiro on Tian, 4 pc Lin on Lin and 2pc crow/samir on Fenrir?

Been playing with the calculator in regards to Fenrir and feel like I'm struggling with figuring out what's best to prioritize.
I currently have A1 Fenrir, A6 Lin and A6 Crow.
My matrices are 3* 2p crow/samir, 4p 1* Lin and 4p 3* shiro.
I was trying to figure out if it's better to go for A1 Saki when she comes back or try to get Fenrir or tian matrices.
I keep on getting conflicting opinions on discord and the calculator makes everything seem pretty similar.
Also, what would the best matrices placement be?
I've been using Lin on Crow, Samir/crow on Fenrir and Shiro on Lin.

Fenrir and crow is fine enough, Saki A1 will be better but you will use red nucleus, better to save for Fiona Rubilia imo

well.. let's say..
Fenrir uses 2 Samir + 2 Crow
Tian uses 4 Fenrir
Lin uses 4 Lin
compared to
Fenrir uses 2 Samir + 2 Crow
Tiang uses 4 Lin
Lin uses 4 Claudia
As a rainbow main, I found it's more optimal to cancel the discharge from Lin and Saki unless it's for purposes. That means Claudia's matrices is contributing even less. Ideally you'll want a different off field matrices
