Your cleaning brings back memories of when I was a school custodian. I hated cleaning the gymnasium lights on the left. It was scary way up there. Cleaning the shilt was something else we did, too. Didn't call it a shilt, but the big vent in the kitchen. Glad to be retired😊

Our Hutterite colony that I get produce from has a slab cement factory that burned. I feel so sorry for them. They have an electric shop that we have used forever and they used to have a meat shop that had the best products.

Quite a ride it was! I quite enjoyed the variety in this vlog. Life is very often like that "all over the place" and it was very real in how life happens sometimes. It does inspire me and inform me. I think I'll make some cinnamon rolls too. We finally have our cool weather here after two hurricanes. We are still here and we are blessed by God. God bless you all.

@@gisellewaldner9406 We are okay but our neighboring communities are struggling. Our agricultural region suffered greatly. Then there's the next state over that has over 600 people missing. We will recover and survive but sometimes, we have to live in the belly of Jonah's whale for a little bit to appreciate what we have.

Golly gum drops its all go on that there Bruderhof community of yours, like my dear o'l Irish Grandmother used to say, up with the kettle and down with the blooming pan, a never ending merry go round of pot walloping, baking, making and mending, sowing and reaping. Well suppose that's life and it teaches us to relish and cherish those few ''free' hours in the day we get for relaxing and reflecting, though got to say I always enjoyed every minute of every day of my time working as a carpenter and part time farmer. The food ye cook up for the community always looks yummy and delicious, no mean feat of forward planning, culinary skills and hard work, forget who said, an army marches on its stomach. One thing I would like to know, can any families in the community trace their original family roots back to the exact locations in Europe their ancestors were forced to flee from all those generations ago, say right back to Reformation times, sort of thing that really interests me as I'm really sold on history and can trace my family right back to the 1600s., the old cemetery where most of them are interred still exists, or perhaps your Church does not encourage delving too much into the past, Cheers and God bless from Ireland.

We have cinnamon buns all over the USA too. There is a special store that sells only cinnamon buns. It is called Cinabon.

I have a question. Does your colony grow your own meat?? I'm assuming you eat meat but maybe I'm wrong. Watching the vegetable harvest..looking so delicious..meat might not be part of the diet?? Anyway I truly enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one. Thank you for sharing
People that aren’t Hutterite can they visit your colony?
Ok, this has got to be asked...Where in the world are the men? It seems to me that the women do just about everything there....Cook, clean, (both regular and heavy cleaning) dishes, laundry, windows, All aspects of child care, teaching, gardening, Harvesting, canning, Sewing the clothes, moving things etc etc. The only thing I haven't seen the women doing, is mowing the lawns---but who knows, perhaps they have to do that too?? What exactly do the men do besides make all the decisons, and preach? I know they have a shop to make firetrucks. But is that ALL they do? (I know that some men are teachers, but what HEAVY work do they ever do?)That colony would fall apart in a minute if the women decided to go on a retreat for a week..... (I do realize the men built the offices, though)
Giselle posted a video some years back about the division of labor. Her colony is very traditional, but the menfolk do a lot of work too besides the fire truck business. And Giselle has filmed herself mowing her family's law more than once.
The manufacturing of the fire engines is a full-time business. Think of a factory that operates daily.
