Sweet perch, he's lucky that wasn't me that caught him! Yep perch and walleye both have that little razor blade on the gill, it sometimes gets me when I'm avoiding grabbing the fins.

I used to target landlocks with streamers or spinners like rooster tail s man they are pretty fun to catch not as fun as Atlantic salmon but atleast we can still fish these types great video n best regards from Maine

Great first video Rob! Little heavy on the breathing on day one but you dialed in the sound on later days. I love 41 minutes later, my new fave timeskip.

This ol' boy has to get in shape for the more challenging upcoming vlogs. The rise in altitude was not on our side.

I've been watching this videos 4 or 5 times now, i never realised we had such beatiful lakes so close, i live only 2 hours away from there, it's now on my go to list of lakes for this summer! Awesome content too, love the whole camping/fishing vlogging thing. Did you stay at Armstrong or Williams/Franklin? Which one would you recommend for a weekend of fishing?

I believe Franklin is the best. You can shore your boat/kayak right at your campsite!

Great video, love seeing more NB content on here! If you don’t mind me asking, what test line were you using for this video? I’ve never fished landlocks before but I’d love to try it.

Didn’t think you could use treble hooks here in NB. At least in Miramichi, DNR says even spinners for Brook trout need to have single hooks (I always pinch the barbs regardless)
Never fished this area, or landlock salmon though, at least with sea run salmon you need a barbless artificial fly, and for trout, from what I’ve been told from multiple rangers, a single hook (there was some debate on barbless)

You cannot use trebles or barbs in Miramichi. Most lakes in NB, trebles and barbs are allowed. Tight lines!
