One of the first goals of a company is to "agency-capture" the union leadership. Don't join a Union that doesn't have leadership voting. It's apparently that all upper management at Blizzard needs to be shown the door if and only if the Board of Directors is willing to demand it. If the Board of Director feels it puts their bottom line too much at risk, then shareholders are free to sell their stocks to put pressure on them.
We have more power to make it stop as consumers. Who's gonna pay them if people just stop buying their games? Imagine someone came up to you and said North Korea came out with an MMO, world-wide. Would you play it, knowing what the country is like? How it was probably made?

Actually it looks like act-blizzard stocks are dropping lower and lower monthly. It's almost the lowest now it's been in six months, and this news only came out what four days ago? We'll see. They did go through a huge dip between now and 2017, but recovered. Wonder what that was all about? Probably the huge diablo mobile fiasco and everything with Activision. In fact I'd say the spike was due to their short stint pretending to "clean up their act".

Trials as indicators of guilt to a jury may be our federal standard but we are talking about a billion dollar corporate entity here. If it ever went to trial (which I bet it won’t,) there’s literally a small army of million dollar lawyers whose sole job is to protect the company. If you think that trial would be airing it all out, that’s not only naive but dangerously ignorant. Literally every statement the company has made doesn’t just discredit the reports but show that the reports were never made in the first place. They threw the accusers under the rug to protect the accused. @@DisDatK9 Of course I don't give a shit about this 'situation' because I don't, for one minute (based on past experience with these lawsuits over decades and my knowledge of just how insanely punitive and all-encompassing the Sexual Harassment laws and policies really are) believe this happened, certainly not to the extent claimed in the press. The company would have to be crazy from not the just the HR department (which have their own incentives to ENFORCE the laws and have strict policies on this stuff) but the President, or CEO, the Board of Directors, etc.

Normally I'd agree, but we literally watched blizzard fire 800 people 2 years ago and then turn around and hire the same jobs for less pay and more work - and dont forget how much companies are throwing jobs overseas. Most AAA prerendered cutscenes aren't done in house, they're done by Blur in Korea. Software companies are cutting jobs to use cheap workers in India.
We have been in a new Gilded Age where top execs hold all the power, and every grunt is too dependent on the meager leftovers to tangibly fight back.
At this point even firing them doesn't do enough justice. They should be arrested with maybe a life sentence or two depending on what they really did.
I experienced abuse at my last job for the past year and a half, brought me to depression and burnout, actively protecting the abuser, after 30 + verbal talks with the abuser, still act like the others are the issue and conspiring against him.

When you send your complaint to HR what you are telling them is, "Hey, here is a liability you need to know about so you can cover it up to avoid responsibility and by the way, please punish me."

My husband works as a trainer for an HR outsourcing company and every time I update him on Blizzard’s situation, he almost seems personally offended with how little the higher ups are doing to take care of things. He told me “these situations are exactly why companies like the one I work for exist. If employees do not feel like they are being heard by their own internal team, it is the company’s responsibility to find them help from an outside source they can trust. A proper statement would involve apologizing for letting their employees down, outsourcing their HR and insurance, and enforcing consequences right away.” But far be it from Blizzard to act like they actually care.
