      One of the first goals of a company is to "agency-capture" the union leadership. Don't join a Union that doesn't have leadership voting. Senority is a system to regect wholesale because leadership will fire you to keep you for getting close to the top.       Actually it looks like act-blizzard stocks are dropping lower and lower monthly. It's almost the lowest now it's been in six months, and this news only came out what four days ago? We'll see. They did go through a huge dip between now and 2017, but recovered. Wonder what that was all about? Probably the huge diablo mobile fiasco and everything with Activision. In fact I'd say the spike was due to their short stint pretending to "clean up their act".

Trials as indicators of guilt to a jury may be our federal standard but we are talking about a billion dollar corporate entity here. If it ever went to trial (which I bet it won’t,) there’s literally a small army of million dollar lawyers whose sole job is to protect the company. If you think that trial would be airing it all out, that’s not only naive but dangerously ignorant. Literally every statement the company has made doesn’t just discredit the reports but show that the reports were never made in the first place. They threw the accusers under the rug to protect the accused. Also, throwing in that Yong is biased to the left because he advocates for a company taking sexual assault allegations seriously is showing how little you really give a shit about what this whole situation is.

      Normally I'd agree, but we literally watched blizzard fire 800 people 2 years ago and then turn around and hire the same jobs for less pay and more work - and dont forget how much companies are throwing jobs overseas. Most AAA prerendered cutscenes aren't done in house, they're done by Blur in Korea. Software companies are cutting jobs to use cheap workers in India.

      We all look at each other and wonder how Harvey weinstein could do what he did with impunity for so long. Even when people knew about it. Yet look at us. We all knew about this for ages, but we still kept buying thier games. Still kept it as business as usual. And guess what. You'll all still buy their games.

    My husband works as a trainer for an HR outsourcing company and every time I update him on Blizzard’s situation, he almost seems personally offended with how little the higher ups are doing to take care of things. He told me “these situations are exactly why companies like the one I work for exist. If employees do not feel like they are being heard by their own internal team, it is the company’s responsibility to find them help from an outside source they can trust. A proper statement would involve apologizing for letting their employees down, outsourcing their HR and insurance, and enforcing consequences right away.” But far be it from Blizzard to act like they actually care.
    Wow. Imagine how the family of the suicide victim feels when they find out that these bastards are acting as if nothing went wrong and all these allegations are being blown out of proportion.

      People are still people and non-terrorists are not barbarians who need to stomp on already defeated enemies to show how tough they are.

    Someone need to look into EA. Now we know both Activision and Ubisoft have a history of harassment. It wouldn't surprise me if EA is the same. Oh, and Take-Two. They had that whole livestream at E3 talking about diversity. That screams of damage control.

    I just have to say, thank you for covering this man. I see a lot of people backing Activision right now, claiming this to be another case of cancel culture. Fellas when peoples lives are destroyed or damaged in a way that takes literally a therapist to mend, its like a form of passive aggressive murder. I'm so proud of the people that are speaking up in spite of the looming backlash and very grateful to content creators like Yong who aren't afraid to take a stance publicly.
