  • In this Onshape tutorial, CADemist will guide you through the process of designing a ring from scratch. We'll start with surface modeling techniques, using surface extrude to create the basic shape and split face to add details. Then, we'll transition to solid modeling with the thicken feature. Finally, we'll use circular pattern to create repeating elements and transform to adjust the ring's size and shape. This tutorial covers:
    Surface Extrude
    Split Face
    Thicken
    Circular Pattern
    Transform
Whether you're new to Onshape or looking to improve your skills, this tutorial will help you create stunning ring designs.

And thank you, as always. Will definitely be trying to do this one for the practice with surfaces…

Hi Tim, actually, I can relate to that-I had modeled this some time ago, and yesterday I got back to it and could not figure out for a moment how I went about it...and you are welcome!

@@cademist I admire that your models are so visually creative, yet it is broken into more simple elements that is not too challenging for myself. Have been recommending your channel as I visit other forums as well as within my own circle of people.
