I could be wrong, but it looks to me as though the studs behind the stove served no structural purpose other than something to hang sheetrock from. I'd be inclined to dispense with them and get some heavy-duty masonry hooks to hang my cast-iron cookware. Great job!
I wasn't sure how it was all going to turn out but you all did a fabulous job! It really is a massive transformation from what it was and I'm so glad you kept the upper cabinet to that bottom part, it really suits the space. Great job!
I love the way you did your kitchen. I would rather have all the old things in my home. Than new. I had an aunt that had a stove like yours. With the cook pot set as one of the burners. Bless you all for all the love and hard work you have put into this home . We are 81 now . We bought our 1820 home 8 years ago. It has a pole barn, a huge garage, and my husband built me an 16 x 16 she shed. For all my treasures. We love it .
I love it! I think keeping that brick exposed was a great idea it adds so much to that kitchen. You guys did a great job, I am definitely a fan of unfitted kitchens they are so much more charming and homey. Can’t wait to see you guys turn that house to a home.😊

Great job on your kitchen! I love an unfitted kitchen, so much better than just boring fixed cabinetry. It is instant charm and gives a cozy vibe. I live in a 1840’s farmhouse in Virginia and I buy, refurbish and refinish antique furniture so I am very partial to the old stuff. Also as someone who loves cycling in and out furniture as I find the next best antique, it is the ultimate in practicality!
Behind the stove, you could stagger small shelves up and down the studs, not many, but just to take away the look of the studs, love what you have done, you have a great imagination ❤

first time viewer, and wow the before and afters are something else!!! where I'm from in the south your little kitchen table was called a pastry table, the cool enamel acted just like a pasty marble, keeping your butter cool in the pastry dough while making pies and such, also the surface was easy to clean, you may have another historical name for your table where you live...I also love the enamel topped tables...I have a hoosier with an enamel top, and it is the same, they were your baking cabinet back in the day...unfitted kitchens are a favorite, one of these days I will be able to design an unfitted kitchen in my future home...big sigh...enjoying your channel, will now go back and binge on your videos..

It looks so great!!! The white really lightened it all up, and I love the sink setup with the chunky legs. Well done. Was just thinking, if you don't mind losing the display aspect of having glass in those lower doors, you could DIY some custom designed punched tin, maybe - that's the metal with designs punched in with nails or punches or ice pick-looking tools? I googled images for punched tin just to make sure I hadn't forgotten what that meant after all these years. I did some a long time ago for a cabinet I had, and it looked really good. Practice on a bit of scrap for a little bit, to get the hammering pressure right. There are designs online.

I 100% agree!! We get criticized most for not tearing down the walls and making it open concept. If I wanted open concept I would have went with a new build. We love having each room separate and original. Thank you! ❤️

Will you need an exhaust fan above the stove? That could be incorporated into the brick wall maybe. This turned out sooo amazing and cozy.
