Love mbuna’s! Fun to watch when you set up an intricate rock/cave scape. Not too hard to keep once you understand them :)) Great personalities and very colorful.
I love both of them! With peacocks I love their colors and bigger fins.. Mbunas are my favorite because I love their body shape being more rounded, Adn my favorite is watching them interact with the environment, the caves and rocks its amazing!
Peacocks I’ve done both and the Peacocks have been awesome so far for a year in. I’ve done 2 Mbuna tanks previously in a 55 and a 45 corner tank and they even bread, but only wound up w one fish at the end of the day bc the dominant one wound up killing or eating the others
Mbunas are heartier fish and more active and interact with each other more. But the colors and beauty of peacocks and haps can rival a salt water tank.
I have a new to me 60 gallon, 48x18x18 or something like that. Not sure if I need mbunas or want peacocks. Tank came with a 4 inch blue dolphin and I believe a johanni also 4 inches.
I have a 90 gal with both more peacock tho, but I prefer the peacock because they have more color combinations and can grow to be beautiful fish and I’ve had some unique ones which have died which is sad but I love growing them out and seeing their colors pop I’ve had a few where it’s like you look up and they’re so big but I look at them everyday lol
Love them both...mbuna are endlessly fun to watch, great drama as they grow and conquer each other. Peacocks are more beautiful than salt water fish imho
I wouldn’t say better looking than salt, I’m a huge riftie fan, but the clean lines and vibrant colors and unique shapes of saltwater blows rifties away.
Love the peacocks…. But they are a pain to keep compared to the mbuna which have been so easy for me. My peacocks have been so susceptible to parasites and more. All mbuna accept yellow finned Acei have been stout and healthy for me.

So true!
I'm Totally a Peacock Fan, Their Color Is Amazing

Team mbuna 💪🏽
Give Me The Peacock's Any Day Of the Week.
Lucky enough to have an Mbuna tank 40 breeder!
Mbunas love them ❤
Mbuna hands down for personality but Peacocks are hard to beat for color.
I really love the Haplochromis... but they definitely get very terrirorial. I have a colony of F0 "Mulungu Village" from Lawrence Kent's trip.
That’s cool!
Nice color on both

Gosh I love both of them, but I prefer peacock. I have a couple in my 75 gallon. I just think they are all gorgeous and so pretty.
they are like matte finish vs gloss flinish
I love Mbuna cichlid
I have mbuna, haps and peacocks all together. It’s just about picking the right species and food. Even have a Victorian in there too.
Peacocks and Haps 💯🤟🏽
Depending on the size of the Tank. But the peacock has real nice colors.

Hey, that one blue fish just winked at me 😏
I think it was a cobalt blue zebra cichlid
Peacock chiclids all day
I've got both . Love em
I agree!

Mbuna would be easier.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics think adding 12 unsexed and a catfish would be ok?
Mbuna....but i like both....😊
Both!
Mbuna
I have a problem and have a 55 gallon mbuna tank and a 125 gallon peacock both are awesome fish .
Peacocks all day
Peacock ❤❤
Mbunas are the best ❤️
Peacock all the way!
Peacock ❤
Peacocks are nice but unless you do full male aquarium its not more beautifull then mbuna tanks
OB peacock are so personable at least mine are!
I like mbuna cause the females are also good looking. However, a male only peacock tank is very pretty.
I just don't like the idea of single sex tanks
I have a 90 gal with both more peacock tho, but I prefer the peacock because they have more color combinations and can grow to be beautiful fish and I’ve had some unique ones which have died which is sad but I love growing them out and seeing their colors pop I’ve had a few where it’s like you look up and they’re so big but I look at them everyday lol
That one little OB Mbuna I would take home tho lol . But those Ruby reds looks a bit juiced imo
Do you sell ruby red cichlid?
I don’t sell fish online, just Chicagoland swaps.
Mbuna cichlid

Peacock cichlids team
Those are beautiful and nice but too aggressive the membuna cichlids are great personality thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
I have alot of haps and a couple peacock and mbuna. Peacock is my favorite but my one is the most aggressive fish I have
I have a 75 gallon with peacocks
Peacocks are great
Love them both. Guess that’s why I have a mbuna and pea/hap setup 😂. Most colorful n personable freshwater fish there is
Me too!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Keep the great content coming. Awesome channel.
Electric yellow lab in 40b and peacocks in 75. I'm not choosing between my guys.
Peacock in 125 mbuna in the 55
Peacock
Aulonocara all day baby
Love the peacocks…. But they are a pain to keep compared to the mbuna which have been so easy for me.
My peacocks have been so susceptible to parasites and more.
All mbuna accept yellow finned Acei have been stout and healthy for me.
I have 25+ tanks and 2 375g IBC totes all peas & haps ... but my Lethrinops colonies are my pride and joy lol 🤌💥
That’s really cool!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics yeah I started my breeding with Dovii and Jags ... but quickly realized that a single fish in a 150g is a waste of Real estate 🤔
I like my peacocks better
Never was a fan of Cichlids. I do not know what the obsession is 😆
Color and personality :-)
