Next Frette purchase see if you like "Triple Bourdon" it's poplin cotton, the ultimate in luxury. The fabric was created by Frette especially for one of the Popes, thus "Popeline" in Italian, Poplin in English. Also you say percale is too harsh but after a few washings Frette percale sheets become like butter. I have used Frette sheets for 20 years and still have my original purchases seemingly without any wear at all. They last more than 20 years. I have also always tumble dried them on normal not delicate settings. Frette sheets are considered to be the strongest of all the luxury sheets, others may be at bit softer before washing but Frette are the strongest. I also only use Frette pyjamas; they last about 15 years, thus another good buy. Their robes and dressing gowns are also very long lasting and beautiful. I have 4 of them. The last one purchased 14 years ago and still very beautiful Cashmere and wool, warm, soft and lightweight. Since these items last so long in the long run they are cheaper than other products which cost less initially. If you have a Frette outlet near where you live you can find bargains sometimes up to an 80% discount, or check their online outlet for good discounts sometimes. Frette has in the past 10 years changed its marketing strategies and their prices have really increased stratispherically. I remember when you could buy a sheet set discounted in their Rome Italy store for 80 Euros 2 sheets and 2 pilloww cases. That time is long past, but even with their higher prices they are still wonderful to sleep on and wear and a very good value for money. Many happy nights on Frette sheets MY FAVOURITE

I’m looking into buying these sheets and I’m so glad I came across this review. Also, I have the exact same thought process as you!! It may not always be true but I’ve found that more money = better quality. And I will admit that I’m an insanely picky person so if I find something I like and it’s comfortable, I’ll buy it regardless of the price. You always make more money so do it if it’s worth it. It’s comforting to find someone that feels the same 😂 thanks for this review!

Miss thing, Frette and Sferra are my 2 fav sheet brands! My bedding is my weakness! I spare no expense when it comes to my bed/ bath linens. FYI, for bath towels, try Abyss! Your sheets are gorgeous, enjoy and don’t apologize for your wonderful sheets. Lord knows, I don’t.
