I got my cd a day before release day. The guitar solos stand out to me on this album. Very well done. The whole album just feels good to me. It’s similar to the last few albums yet a little different.
Great review Jeremy! I don't have mine ordered yet. I may wait until I get a bonus by the end of September and get one of the bundles. I also want to order the Impellitteri album too. Of the last 6 albums, I think this one, NMHTP, Fallen, and ETDB are the best ones followed by TFB and GDE. I may do a complete review and ranking of the last 6 over the coming weeks or months. Also, this is the 3rd album where shades of blue is the dominant color or a significant color in recent albums, with the other ones being NMHTP and TFB. I hear different flavors on this one like Whitesnake, Sabbath, Motley Crue, Metallica with a tad of Progressive Metal. What blows my mind is there was an update by Michael Sweet and Robert was sitting as a table putting Stryper stickers on Bibles. That shows that they are genuine and want to keep the focus on what it's all about which is God's Word. I'm surprised they aren't endorsed by Gideons or maybe they are which I'm not sure. It was never mentioned - I know there is some cost they pay to buy those Bibles. The back cover reminds me of the back of No More Hell to Pay on the CD only version and the LP (not the CD/DVD version that has the band in costumes) where it has the triangle with mostly all blue - kind of a throw back. You really show your excitement of this album!
