  • A business trip brings me to Ottawa and allows for some off roading and four wheel fun. I try to explain a little bit about what I am doing and throw in some Jeep portraits a long the way.

Great video. Good clean shots. Easy to watch without tons of cutaways. Audio was great as well. Thank you for taking the time to get these shots. It's very much appreciated.

Nice to see the stock JK instead of all the frankenjeeps. Thanks for the video.

Great video! Would you say this is a good trail for new drivers? Looking to find a good trail in Ottawa just for some casual driving, nothing to crazy. Also what was the name of it, darling Road you say?

Great video, thanks for sharing! Question: loving both of these rigs - but I have a red Sport, and really like the look of James'. Can you possibly tell me exactly what he's working with there, in terms of suspension and tires? Does he have a lift at all? What size wheels does he have? Is he using spacers? What size tires are those? Any info is helpful, thanks!

James has the stock suspension with 34inch BFG KO2s. He does have 1.5" spacers on there because he was rubbing at full travel. His KO2s are quite a bit quieter than my KM2s. He bought his tires primarily for the better traction on ice. His Jeep looks great.

Nice video, was that a recent trip? I noticed the IL plates, any trips to either of the ORV parks south of Chicago?

Rich, Yes this was a few weeks ago. 13 hour drive to get up there for business. I went to one place out by Utica, They had just gotten a few inches of rain in the morning and they warned me everyone was getting stuck. Without a winch, it wasn't going to be a lot of fun. Left there pretty disappointed after an hour and a half drive. We didn't get any rain up by us and it was unexpected. I will probably go back, wish they had a trail conditions section that was updated on their website.

are you using hill desent for the drops?

No, I tried it, but it didn;t seem to slow things down enough. Maybe on a shallower decent it would be ok. It just didn't feel like I was in control with it.

I live in the ottawa area and I would like to go to this trail. Would you be able to provide the location?

I can't tell you exactly where it is, but it is about 45 minutes west of Ottawa. I think some of the Ottawa Jeep clubs drive out there, and they would know other places too. There is some place called the Gorge which is next on my list.

It's called the Gorge...can't tell you exactly what town it's near because I just followed the group from EOTB on a Newbie run. Google them. Great group to join.
