So far the best video i've found. Thanks to yt algorithm and also you! Great work. I LOVE THE DIM LIGHTING and the serene sound ofc. keep posting more often
Your video has a different aesthetic man it's like soo classically simple kinda thing which i cannot define but you get what I'm talking about . Keep the good work up
been recently introduced to your video's and I've just recently been trying to find a good book to get into, perfect timing. love the content it really helps n the editing is always fire
I've been looking to start reading again, as I used to do often, but I always found the hardest part was fearing I was going to read a book and find that by the end I didn't like it or I didn't find meaning in it, so these recommendations are very helpful! I think I'll give that Steppenwolf book a try.
Exactly. I always say you can tell more about someone from their bookcase than anything else. The bookcase is like the minds fingerprint, completely unique
Love how unique your list is compared to a typical self improvement book video, and I love the cinematography in every video man keep up the great work! Also judging from the book cover are you greek by any chance?
thank you brother, I appreciate that a lot ❤️ and yeah, I'm half greek on my mum's side so I've read and love a lot of Kazantzakis hahah Report to Greco was great as well. But tbh my favourite Greek book is Red Dyed Hair by Moursellas (I think that's his name). That book was fantastic and would've made the list but its quite similar to some of the others on here and it's pretty much impossible to find outside of greece hahah
@@TomHurlsi hope you realise you appreciate greek literature more than even the locals including me frankly. It gave me a flashback of studying quotes and poems from Kazatzakis and or other artists of the time for school work and that surely that lowered my interest for greek literature, yet again you inspired new ideas and perspectives
Dude you are one of my fav creators rn! Such helpful and pragmatic advice! The only problem I have is that your channel is a pain in the ass to find. I try to such Tom or Tom Hurls and your channel doesn't show up :( Good thing I remember the title of a few videos. Aside from that, great channel! Keep it up lad :D
When I'm reading philosophy books I sometimes underline or take notes in the margins. I don't specifically take notes but I'll journal on the ideas of the book so in that way I'm at least committing the ideas to paper.
@@TomHurls I meant for people who have short attention span (dopamine detox) and stuff like that. I myself find it hard to focus and can't just delete my social media and cannot work continuously for about 20 minutes. I find a distraction. Basically videos for focusing particularly.
@@TomHurls yeah i'd love that. I find myself too demotivated to be productive and find my attention slipping away. I do sometimes feel the urge to delete all my social media because of this but being a loner, want to socialize with people too. Sort of like how to recharge your attention that includes the use of social media too ( and how to deal with it instead of completely leaving it, like i once thought of this check social media every 2 days but never really put it into effect.)

Let's go bro 💪 manifest excellence ❤️
I think its great to go back and visit the early books, see what forms a character. What formed ones own character.

@@TomHurls I already have ;)
Great list. I’m definitely going tocheck them out. Do you normally take notes while you read? Especially philosophy books.

thank you brother, i appreciate that a lot ❤️
can you suggest some good jazz music aswell?? the music you use in your videos is just lovely
dave brubeck, pierro umiliani, louis armstrong. Start off with them and see how you go ❤️
What's the song at 0:35??
Ricordandoti by Piero Umiliani. All his music is great
Bro you can't use King Krule as a soundtrack and expect me to wait until the end of the video to subscribe.
Hahaha great tune

Thank you man , appreciate that ❤️
🗣️🗣️🗣️❗❗Steppenwolf

You should make more videos for attention and stuff like that
huh ?
