You may find this interesting regarding fish slime: "Glycocalyx is a general term referring to extracellular polymeric material produced by some bacteria, epithelia and other cells. The slime on the outside of a fish is considered a glycocalyx. The term was initially applied to the polysaccharide matrix excreted by epithelial cells forming a coating on the surface of epithelial tissue." The inside surfaces of all of our blood vessels are lined with an epithelial cell layer and a very small hair-like structure, all covered in a glycocalyx "goo". This slippery layer allows the free flow of blood. Basically it is fish slime. Just like if a fish loses some of this protective layer it can become easily infected, the same happens to our arteries when there is damage from stuff in the blood (from smoking, pollution, oxygenated sugar, etc). If the body doesn't repair the damage fast enough we develop heart disease/stroke.
What an awesome video and session for Stripys. You gang are awesome. Love the info, chats and tips. Well fished Rooney. Plus great camera and commentary Tank. Tight Lines to the Guru Gang and All
I'm off to the canal tomoz to fish for perch on my pole.. I stuck a sleeper rod out on bomb with a big lob worm then fish maggot on pole in the margin... pb perch is 2lb 7oz caught on a 7cm lmab kofi roach lure
Putting a lobworm in a bait band is brilliant for perch.. used the same worm for 3 fish lol .. full hook free.. you sure you didn't add the other fellas perch for the final net pics 😇😂
