Some comments here don't make any sense. Regular users, non tech users just want a phone which can do the job. That's why Galaxy A sell good every year.
Also, some people should stop speak like it's easy and safe to buy a refurbished smartphone : it depends on the country where you live and if you can have garranty and long term support with your smartphone.
Even regular users want to have decent camera setup, with tele x3 instead of useless macro and 60 fps in 4k instead of 30. Even my $80 s20fe from OLX provides that. Tech ppl just put some light on that, because it's hard to watch how Samsung is scamming non tech users. If they were no tech talking, regular users would be ripped off even more.

I'd say ut resembles the s23 fe design wise in every single way. It has the same bezels, the same camera, and the same bulk as the s23 fe, like even from the back, you could tell between the a series and the s23/s24 series which have a more sleek design and just look like flagship.

I don't game and no social media (unless you count YT) But battery life is a big priority for me .
I get battery anxiety lol, I'm using an S7 that I got used 2 years ago and the battery is kaka. I get 4 hours on power saving mode.

I'd say opt for a refurbished s23 which is the best value phone in its price range, the only other phone I could think of that's better is the s22 ultra but depends, as many people don't care for the spen, the best cameras and hate the boxy design, if you want the best phone in the $450 price range get the galaxy s22 ultra other than the SD card slot it destroys the a55 in every single category without a doubt, even the s21 ultra the s20 ultra or as far back as the note 10+ beat this phone so there is no doubt picking up the s22 ultra or the s23. 1 other thing you could do is wait another year and get the s24 for maybe $500. Depending on how it retains its value, it will still be getting 6 years of android and security updates. It's looking like a very bright future for people in the mid range market, being able to get a fully flagship phone, which is almost the newest with full flagship support, samsung has made life better for people in the mid range market. Not that the s22 ultra and s23 can't last for 7 years it's just not promised for those phones. If you could stretch another year, get the s24 1 year later, even a $600 invest would be a deal breaker $100/year invest vs $110/year invest on the galaxy a55 which isn't even half as good and gets beaten easily by older flagship from 2-4 years ago which are without a doubt cheap and if you think about buying the s24 a year from now vs a55 the s24 is actually a cheaper opition, at times you can find with for $700 with 7 years of support which is technically $100/year invest vs the 4 which is $110/year on the galaxy a55 which won't even last 2 years without feeling sluggish. Not everyone can afford to pay the price up front, but technically, $700 for the s24 is long term a lower investment for a full flagship over the galaxy a55 which is more costly and significantly inferior stay as far away as you could from this phone unless your over seas.
Even my $80 s20fe is better than that, not to say s/n20u and higher. Just don't let yourself being scammed, A55 is a ripoff

@@Shan_Shah yea, you can have s20fe dirt cheap like me (but I don't care about updates) or get used s24 as u mentioned which is still cheaper than a55 considering long span of support, and with all that options people still buy new midranges. Samsung makes it's main profit out of low-end/midrangers, not flagships, that shows people doesn't see the difference as they 're tech noobs or they just suck at math.
@666marq the truth is they do, large group of people claim samsung phones as laggy and they compare these a series phones to iPhones and phrase iPhones for being soo much faster and Smoother and switch to apple, they don't see it like us but the truth is the average users feel the jitteryness in the animations still. Samsung could easily replace the s22 or s23 with the a55 by selling those for that price bracket brand new in their local, the reason samsung isn't selling this phone because they are fed up and want to compete with apple in selling more flagship, the only way to get people into the s series is to discontinue the a3x and a5x which also the unecessary existance of m and f series considering we have the lower end a series phone which are now getting 4 os and 5 years of security update which isn't realistic as those phones won't be able to hold up thaf long. With them extending flagships to 7 and 7, you would be able to get the s24 for $300-$400 18 months from now and still be left with 6 years of android update and security updates. Samsung removing the a55 in the US means they are starting to understand not to canabilize their sales that's what happens when you make 50 phones, you got the s23 fe lieing around roughly the same cost, you could find a refurbished s23 or s22 ultra on ebay for around $400, considering the s20fe or phones as old as note 10+ belows the a55 out of the water in most of the category there is no comparision but the final answer is its a rip off and samsung has been trying to rip us off with releasing 50 phones and manipulating consumers for so many years as these phones being value per money. Samsung not selling this in the US showcases they are starting to understand, and my points have significance.
A55 vs s20 fe please
S20fe is cheaper and has better camera capabilities. And I'd choose snapdragon 865 over any exynos anytime. Screen on A55 is slightly better and you got updates while s20fe is stuck on android 13. If u don't care about updates s20fe on snap wins.

These type of phones are only for people who cant afford flagships, dont want to buy a used flagship from previous years, never owned a flagship so they cant compar how slow they are compared to flagships or people who are budget conscious
I will never waste my money to get this phone when I can use that money to get myself a very clean iPhone 11 Pro Max or even iPhone 12 Pro Max and still have a decent amount of money in my pocket to sustain me for some days
