I never expected to wish for episode 1 of She-Hulk to come back but here we are, it got worse. Welcome to the slow descent into darkness that happened during this videos creation lmao. But what did you think of the episode, or what did you think based on the review? Let me know your thoughts below and as always, thanks for watching :)
I would not call it worse per say. Nothing tops the sheer repulsiveness of the first episode. If anything, it was pretty bland/boring and shorter on the mysandry. Oh yeah, and painfully unfunny. Don't get me wrong, the show still sucks. And I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel, only pitch black darkness.
This episode was so Fucking Boring! The writers have no clue what a lawyer does. The CGI is so Fcking bad! This show is a bad Joke! My wife said this show is one of the worst 🤣 shows she has ever seen...
They never said she couldn’t get drunk , the hulk said they can drink a lot more before they get drunk , and she had such a bad hangover because she was back in her human form again , not that hard to understand
@@Mraewaviest If we’re really diving into this, I think it’s safe to say that based on the scene of all the empty bottles they went through, SO much alcohol would still be in her body by morning that she would essentially explode of poisoning and die the moment she shifts back into human form. Be more upset about that. Or explain how Hulk couldn't stop the Jeep ?? C'mon it's so simple to explain why he can throw tanks around but a jeep is too much.. 😂
@@LordTheCyril A couple years ago a black female head of diversity said, "A room full of white males can be diverse! There's more to diversity than just skin colour and gender!" She was not only forced to publicly apologize but was then fired. I know you're joking, but really you're not joking. Diversity = no whites and no males.
The feminist Hollywood playbook: make show that blatantly says all men are evil, weak, and or predatory. Then complain because men don’t tune into your show or film.
@@spidey3471 Or, make fictional show presenting men as the loathsome feminist ideological stereotype, point to your show as a example of why men are "bad".
It's funny how it never dawned on Jen that being hired for her She-Hulk persona may not be such a bad thing in this case - considering she'd be working in a superhero division and if any of these superhuman individuals (hero or villain) got out of line and needed to be subdued, she's the perfect employee to have on staff, as she could handle that task with little to no effort. But no - she just focuses on the negative.
She literally complains about everything. She has a problem with Bruce, her job, her own family, being a woman, other superheroes and being She-Hulk. Lol
It's based on a story in the comics where she got fired due to being famous for saving the world. In THAT story she was a world-wide celebrity. So in that case it'd be semi-reasonable. Here... ok, that one case, maybe.... Not EVERY law firm, or every case, no reason not to just move on to the next case.
@@marhawkman303 Not to mention that even in that case they would be insane to fire her. They could’ve just had her be just the head of the superhero division and, even in a worst-case scenario, just be the face of the division doing social media stuff while the other people under her do the lawyering. Kind of like with that Kardashian with the law degree. The money they could make off her celebrity status alone would more than make up for what they're paying her.
@@Lobsterwithinternet yeah, firing someone for being famous is insane in general. Ok, so you feel she can't be a trial lawyer, so? doing court cases isn't all lawyers do.
I found it unintentionally hilarious when She-Hulk demonstrated one of the main reasons there is a "gender wage gap" - she's in a field where pay isn't standardized, but negotiated, and when she is offered a job and told she can take time to think it over, instead of checking what the terms and conditions are and then using the knowledge that she's being actively courted for the role to strengthen her bargaining position, she just immediately accepts it, thus reinforcing the point that one factor for women being paid less is that they play it safe and accept the first offer rather than holding out for an improved offer. And then she discovers she is literally a diversity hire, which only makes it even more funny.
Same here. His reviews are the closest thing I would ever get to watching terrible shows. Never watched Obi Wan and Halo series but knew how the story went down by watching his reviews.
100% Agree 💯💯 no amount of Pain meds and Alcohol can make this show funny. Lol 🤣🤣 My Wife told me that no woman ♀️ should be proud of working on or acting in, this Trash show.
I guess that the scene where she gets fired is meant to show that, in fact, she really is the World's worst lawyer. Consider how a REAL attorney would handle this situation: "I'm afraid you lost your case." What, did the jury come back?" "No, the Judge declared a mistrial." "Ok, that's reasonable. So I didn't lose anything. We just have to do it all over again. Well, too bad, but that Titania lady was at fault here." "Yes, but, I'm afraid that we need to fire you. You'e a distraction." "I see. Has the Bar Association, the Judge or anyone else accused me of Professional Malpractice for saving the Judge and Jury's lives? Or is this just your reaction to this unfortunate situation? I really need to know." "It's just something we need to do." "Well, something that I JUST need to do is sue your firm for wrongful discharge without a reasonable cause. In fact, it's outright discrimination based on my immutable physical characteristics, which is illegal, in case you didn't know. You want to reconsider your decision before my complaint is served?" That would actually show that she's a half-way decent attorney, intelligent and a fighter. But no, she takes this patently unfair and illegal decision without even a protest. I's pathetic. Ok, it's a "comedy" (allegedly), but that's totally no excuse for making your main character look like a spineless incompetant.
Watching this makes me side with thanos. The reason he didn't give a good compelling reason to kill the universe and made as basic as "balance" is due to his fear of being canceled. His real reason is to wipe out people like her. I honestly see her as a karen. Iam i the only one?
Yeah... Too bad Thanos's real reason for killing everybody in the comics was just to impress Death so she'd date him. But Death still picked Deadpool over a Thanos, anyway! 😂 Thanos = Cuck
I love how they're ruining female heroes like Supergirl and She-Hulk in a weak attempt to virtue signal. I don't have much memory of She-Hulk, but I grew up loving Supergirl because she was a well written and likeable character until her CW show.
@Michael Mills I never read the Red Lantern Supergirl comics, but I heard good things about it. May just see if Dopespill comics covered them for a quick summary.
She-Hulk was actually really good when John Byrne was writer and artist for the title. She was very cool and interesting, and smart. She was also technically the first character to do what Deadpool is famous for today...she broke walls and was spontaneous. This is not She-Hulk at all. She also eventually took Things place in the Fantastic Four and was an excellent member.
She-Hulk used to be fucking awesome. I was just reminiscing with some random guys at 30 Rock about how she beat up the whole wrecking crew by herself because she impulsively stormed the villains hideout in Secret Wars because she thought they killed Janet Van Dyne, only to have the rest of the villains show up and beat the crap out of her. "Marvel has always been political" yea...but female characters were handled realistically by showing them use adversity to become better people. Now all they do is complain about how evil and stupid men are for merely existing. So glad I don't have a daughter
You glanced over the fact Titania, the possible main villain of the series, was fleeing traffic court and decided to randomly barge into another court room dealing with a completely different case and attack people. The writers actually couldn't think of a good reason of why that fight happened in episode 1.
Let's really think about that premise of her " fleeing " Traffic Court . Ok... for 1) a guilty decision in Traffic Court results in a fine to be paid or a driver license being restricted , suspended or revoked . So what is there to " flee " from ? 2 ) If she don't give a shit to destroy the Court House property and to injure people while doing it then why would she even give a care to show up to Traffic Court to answer for driving violations ? This silly crap must of been written by a 7 year old for a Saturday morning cartoon show . smh
Considering how they've handled men so far, it will be amusing to see how they'll treat Daredevil. I'm sure even these writers realize that he's the one male character they can't write like a 2D idiot- if only because Marvel is counting on him for other projects, and also because they're probably heavily relying on him for a ratings boost! Also, I have to say, it's a bit worrying that both her boss and future boss know to find her in the bar! Did her boss fire her there because he knows she's more likely to be there than at her office?
Um... they didn't mind someone writing Thor like an incel basement-dweller. They didn't mind someone writing Strange as a universe-destroying incompetent incel. They didn't mind them writing Hulk as a feminist beta male. I have no doubt that they would care even a little bit if they write Daredevil as a loser who can't do anything right and steals all his success from women.
Would it be problematic to treat Daredevil like they do all other men? I mean, he’s handicapped, I mean, handicapable, I mean differently abled and you just can’t attack...those people.
A couple of things about the legal representation for Abomination... 1. A lawyer should absolutely recuse themselves from a case where they are supposed to defend someone accused of injuring one of the lawyer's family members. That's basic ethics. Her boss would have absolutely insisted she recuse herself from the case, so this "conflict" exists for no other reason than to make some man look bad. All defendants are entitled to "zealous legal representation," meaning their lawyer / attorney must do everything in their power to obtain the best possible outcome for the defendant. If Hulkette didn't recuse herself from this case, and the judge in the case found out she had such a flagrant conflict of interest, she'd be removed from the case by the judge and likely face disciplinary action. And her law firm would almost certainly hit her with discipline, if they didn't outright fire her. (I'm honestly kind of surprised she tried to recuse herself...I would have expected her to throw a fit about being asked to recuse herself, because she's just such an amazing lawyer and person that should could have easily provided zealous representation for someone who attempted to murder one of her family. Such brave. Much strong.) 2. The parole process in the US is absolutely intended to give some criminals a chance to rehabilitate and rejoin society. We _should_ give criminals a chance to rehabilitate, even some violent criminals. We shouldn't try to rehabilitate _all_ criminals. That being said, we're talking about a comic book villain who is utterly irredeemable. The fact these morons thought it made any kind of sense that anyone would offer someone like Abomination the possibility of parole is so laughable I don't know how they put it into a show...even a pathetic attempt at comedy. We're talking about the world where people completely ignored the US Constitution to enforce an international treaty that imposed illegal strictures and sanctions on US citizens, then locked some of those US citizens in a maximum security prison in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean without a trial, or even legal representation, for refusing to ask permission to stop a villain who had perpetrated a horrendous act of terror. The idea that same government, the government that declared CAPTAIN FUCKING AMERICA a criminal for doing the right thing, would even _CONSIDER_ offering parole to a supervillain may be the most ridiculous thing these idiots have written. But, hey...who the hell thought this should would be even remotely watchable? Maybe a half dozen blue-haired land-whales and the simps who love them.
Maybe 1point is true but not the second. So far Abomination destroyed part of harmel in his fight with Hulk. Which could be argued as him stopping thret he was supposed to stop. Adn uder the influence of faulty supersoldier serum.

These sort of projects likely get two seasons to begin with but they won’t reveal it yet because it looks overly confident. She Hulk is such a important investment to them since she’s probably gonna end up in the woke avengers or Fantastic Four so even if season one bombed they’d spend the 2nd one trying to fix it. Cancelling it after one season, even if that season bombed, is more hurtful to the she hulk brand overall.
Gotta love how the show is undermining its own message. In one episode it's telling us how women are oppressed and have to deal with men, next episode she gets hired for being She Hulk and the friend tells her to stop complaining and enjoy the privilege.
@@thehumblepotatoreborn9313 Trust me, when it comes to this kind of writers, it is all unintentional. @@thehumblepotatoreborn9313 No, it's likely that it's just real world which would make it feminist satire, automatically. The worst part of this shit episode was that one rewrite could have made this and everything after halfway decent. Because if we had competent writers that can write a dramatic legal show, we could have had Jen have the trial of her career where _she_ and the GLKH guy chose to put personal history aside to _defend_ Blonsky with a strong case of his exploitation under the US government. Not for parole, obviously, but for a life sentence in a superhuman equivalent of a supermax vs the death penalty, or something. We could actually see something like a twist on the Superhuman Registration Act be bandied about because of problems like Blonsky, rationalized as a way to identify and protect these people from exploitation, like filing with the VA or ADA for needs-specific resources, protections, benefits, accommodations, etc. So she takes this job, which drives a wedge between her and Bruce, who is justifiably not okay with her decision, hurt that Jen would even consider doing this and doesn't like/trust the idea of a vulnerable group of people like himself under the thumb of a government run organization with limitless reach, and we could have a series long arc where Jen realizes that Blonsky is a manipulative monster long before he was Abomination, and that despite the career defining turn as Blonsky's defense would grant her, her sense of honor wins out. I would even debut mutants through clever application, like say she sends that useless paralegal to interview people for/against SHRA, and one of the people she interviews is Dr. Charles Xavier, a wealthy disabled children's psychologist looking for benefactors for a school he has in mind for -mutant- _troubled_ youth... Eventually Jen would resign as Blonksy's defense and as a lawyer because she realizes that the law is great, but only for the law-abiding; for people that would violate and exploit others' agency/safety, big or small, super or not, they'll answer to _She-Hulk._ Roll credits! But again, we'd need competent writers for that.

I mean, why she was fired makes sense. When she saved everyone she became a hero. The news picked it up and made her super famous. As a result, assumedly the entirety of the public people would think of her as a hero and would therefore be biased I her favor for every case. It makes sense. What I can't understand is why they wouldn't try to use her for publicity or to help other people build their cases. Heck, why wouldn't they at least try to get her on another case, just to see if their assumptions about the bias of the jury is true.
Apparently no one on the writing team has ever worked an actual job because if something like this actually did happen and they fired you for it you’d have a crazy lawsuit at best they were just take her off the cases and at worst they have to fire her maybe a couple months after this but definitely not at the bar in in the way that they did
That is simply not true. Lawyers work their whole life's for that type of exposure. Take OJ Simpsons lawyer, he quickly became tge highest paid lawyer in the WORLD and then grew a lawfirm based on his name alone , that even now is the tip paid lawyers anywhere! It is impossible to prove a jury is basised based on fame or heroism, or military officers with purple hearts could never win a case or work as an attorney. Lawfirms fight over famous lawyers, that's an edge any office would want. Your argument makes no sense. I am very much knowledgeable of the legal system and every judge , lawyer, and paralegal dreams of becoming famous and reaching star level for any reason.
@@beentheredonethat5908 I'm not particularly familiar with OJ's case or his lawyer, although I do know of what you are talking about. My assumption here though is that OJ's lawyer grew because he was the lawyer in a very famous case, and therefore, given the difficulty of the case, it was evident that he was a very good lawyer. In this show, however, Jennifer (I think that's her name... I don't know for sure) is given the spotlight for her heroism, not for her skills as a lawyer. Therefore, it isn't inconceivable that the jury would be biased in her favor. The people she helped almost certainly were. Again, I want to note that it was absurd that she was fired so quickly, without so much as a chance to see if other juries would be biased just because she took them.
There is actually a very plausible reason as to why she-hulk is fired and won't be re-hired. It's great that she saved people's lives, but the second a super-hero starts defending someone (no matter how criminal), the entire jury will be biased towards the super-hero. The judge and prosecution know this, and will move to a mistrial every single time. Additionally, if she has to defend someone that's very clearly guilty, public opinion of both her and the firm will plummet. It makes sense that no firm would want such a toxic asset. The writers got that part right at least.
Blonski's defense of "not my fault, it was the serum" has actually been floating around the internet since the 2008 movie, and it's a valid defense. General Ross presented it to him, told him it would help him complete the mission, and didn't appear to give him a full rundown of the side effects which included increased aggression and reduced cognizance and self-control. Had he done this to himself deliberately he'd still be culpable, but since it was given to him by Ross, he's legally not responsible for the actions caused by that altered mental state. As a real-world analogy, if you choose to take meth and then go nuts and destroy a car, you're fully on the hook for that car. If someone else gave you meth not telling you what it was or what it would do, and you destroy a car, you can get off because it was their fault you were in that altered state, not your own. But Hulk fans on the internet came up with this defense, not the She-Hulk writers, so no credit to them for that.
Plus he was under orders while ACTIVE DUTY. He has a complete ability to blame his CO for anything that happened since he was following what at the time was a lawful order he HAD to follow. Also why the fuck is a civil attorney trying him? He would have a military tribunal.
@@YChromosome99 then you are either content with whatever is thrown at you if it has anything that is at the level of acceptable at some point, even minor, in said product or don't watch many films with any critical eye whatsoever.
I get the impression, someone at the office in a future episode will slap her ass etc like basically unwanted touching while in She Hulk form, because you know, there's setting it up that everybody's eyeing her and someone will cross the line. The show is overly preachy to the point I could see them/producer using the show as 'teaching moment' for men.
One thing they completely miss is the fact that lawyers don’t need to be hired by law firms to be lawyers. Since she is supposedly popular after becoming She-Hulk she could open her own law firm.
Blonsky's (or whatever his name is) reasoning for why he should be let out actually makes sense. You can't blame him for trying to take down the hulk because the government told him to. You wouldn't get mad at seal team 6 for following orders, so why get mad at blonsky. And, the super soldier serum that the government gave him made him go insane. Again, he cannot be blamed for that. That is what he was trying to communicate during this episode. It makes sense. The only issue would be whether or not he is still insane from the serum and whether he would go rampaging a city again. If the effects wore off then there is no reason for him to be in jail, but if he is still a risk (as in he might do it again), then he should still be in jail.
I see your reasoning. It's been a long time since I saw the movie. If I remember correctly, I thought he was shown as already jealous of the Hulk's powers well before he took the serum. I don't know, it's muddy water. But then he broke out and apparently went on a violent rampage. So....something's missing here.
@@sitcomchristian6886 I haven't seen the hulk movie so everything I said was just a breakdown of what Blonsky actually said in the episode. Also, I can't tell if disparu is being intentionally dense for the sake of the video, but I'm pretty sure that episode ended with the reporter saying that Blonsky broke out and went to a fight club (Maybe I'm misremembering though), not with him going on a rampage. Also, I'm going to put it here since I forgot to put it somewhere else, but the end credits scene didn't play out like a commentary on gender roles or whatever disparu made it seem like. It played out like a joke. It was just a really bad joke because it didn't really have a punchline.
I’m kinda conflicted cause we he came to the doctor to get turned into abomination he was like “I want what banner has” “I want that power” idk if that’s cause he was already hopped up on serum but his excuse kinda doesn’t work for me. When he turned into abomination he was tryna make a statement that HE was now the strongest there was. & if he wasn’t stopped I’m pretty sure he would’ve done more damage
@@JUSTLJ_ just because he wanted to be the strongest doesn't mean he wanted to have the power to destroy cities. Again, I havent seen the movie, but it would seem (to me) that he wanted to be powerful, but the when he got that power he went insane, and now he regrets his actions because he is no longer insane (except he might be with how the episode ended; who knows?). If that is the case then it makes complete sense.
They shouldve made the entire show in a "The Office" style of comedy, the paralegal could be doing pranks on the intern, the boss couldve been endearingly stupid but lovable, missed opportunity imo
There's that one series about superheroes from the eyes of a normie played by Vanessa Hudgens. Forgot the name. Fun series. Unfortunately, it ran just for 1 season Edit: it's called Powerless
Yeah I'm fairly certain that if something happened in court like an attack or something than a lawyer wouldn't be fired for saving someone's life. Even if the Jury did become bias towards her than well they can just get a new Jury (In fact due to a Mistrial, don't they have to get a new Jury as it has to start again?). If they're saying everyone will have bias towards her as she's now popular well that argument doesn't work either. I imagine most people know about the Amber heard and Johnny Deep case. Johnny's lawyers have gained the publics favour and they've not been stripped of their job (As far as I'm aware). In fact having a popular lawyer would be a good thing for a lawyer firm. You would instantly attract a lot more people to your firm and therefore gain a lot more money and likely high profile cases at that. Oh I'm sorry I forgot the writers have the intelligence and critical thinking skills of a wooden spoon.
I think what's being missed here is that she's not just a lawyer who saved some people's lives, she's a superpowered individual who saved some people's lives, making her a superhero. Imagine if Tony Stark had been a lawyer in this universe, and the way that juries would have responded to his arguments, consciously or unconsciously, because of who he is and what he has done for people. Imagine if Thor was an attorney, and how people would respond to him. Opposing counsel would absolutely argue that any trial where a superhero is an attorney is automatically unfair, and they would win on that point. An unbiased jury is extremely important. As an attorney myself, I think that this was actually quite accurate. What was inaccurate was when it was portrayed that a mistrial being declared means that the case is lost. That's not true. The trial would in all likelihood just happen again. She-Hulk was working at the DA's office, so it would have been within the DA's power to bring fresh charges against the individual whose lawyers got the mistrial, and have them tried again. Additionally, lawyers do much more than litigate in court, so they probably would just have reassigned She-Hulk to work in a non-advocate role instead of outright firing her.
@@krjeff you're assuming that because she's a bit of a freak (she's not a 'superhero' since she's actually done fuckall outside that one incident... which, let's face it, was fairly minor in the grand scheme) that is automatically a problem because everyone would have some sort of bias towards or against her.... simply because that's what the show wants you to believe, regardless of whether it actually makes sense or not. In the MCU, where people far more actually heroic than her are running around in increasingly ridiculous numbers... why would you assume the average person is going to have any strong feelings one way or another for She-Hulk? again, she's done all but literally nothing to qualify as a 'superhero'. what's unfair about a lawyer who can turn into a big green monster? what's the inherent advantage she has beyond being able to stop some random unforeseen event bursting it's why into the court room.... which is highly, highly unlikely to happen. Serious question : what's her inherent unfair advantage? She's not superhumanly smart (quite the opposite....), which is the only thing would tip the balance in her favor in a courtroom setting. This is the problem with setting a series in a courtroom when you have no fucking clue what happens inside one : you have to justify everything with logic, not just state it as true and have it be accepted because, well, the plot needs to happen.
The first Iron Man movie and the Dark Knight(2008): “We're doing a good job at making good super hero films, telling good stories and making sure comic book movies can be taken seriously.” SheHulk(2022)- I'm about to ruin these two films' careers.

My favorite part was the dramatic speech at the end, *"You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist.."* - She-Hulk
I love your point about how much of Hollywood is hiring people because of their physical attributes rather than their talent, including Disney/Marvel, and now a Disney/Marvel character is complaining about how she only got the job because of her physical attributes. I'm about 99% sure that the writing staff never even considered how ironic this is. But I'll allow for a 1% chance that somebody on the writing staff actually thinks that all the other actors/actresses all around the world taking jobs based on their physical attributes instead of talent should ALSO be complaining because we actually DO think they're hired for that reason rather than for their acting qualifications. Maybe that might be a criticism of woke casting rather than an ironic complaint about it. Probably not.
I think it's worse than that. I think people are not only hired for their physical profile, but for their sexual and political profiles as well. I mean, we KNOW there are black people (and any other race) who are gifted writers and long time fans of comics. Strangely, they don't seem to be getting hired either. It's a damn shame.
Here's a few ideas for She-Hulk that are based on the idea that Hulk doesn't exist. The name isn't going to be used. For an older comic type have, I'd say Gamma Gal. It's silly, but it's something I could see being in an older comic that just stays around. Another name that sounds a bit cooler would be the Emerald Enforcer. A few others Gamma Guardian Jade Juggernaut Viridian Vigilante Empress of Emeralds Gamma Gladiatrix And to be fair to Blonsky, he was given an experimental drug that affected his mind. That would be a legitimate defense for most people. It altered his mind. Would you fully blame someone who was given a hallucinogen and thought he was attacking an animal or monster but actually just attacked a person. He didn't actually know what he was doing. Granted Blonsky did mix that super serum that altered his mind with hulk powers and went on a rampage but the fact remains that his mind was altered. Meaning he wasn't a state of mind where he could reasonably consider what he was doing. And if he proves that that alteration is gone, it's only right he gets a chance to prove himself trustworthy and safe. If he proves he's not, put him back in prison.
Note: Tony Stark and/or the government was 'supposed' to be paying for the super heroes. Yet, in the lovely Falcon series, the writers made them claim they were making nothing. Which of course makes NO sense at all. Falcon himself was even considered military and obviously one of the top soldiers since he was allowed to take an experimental device from the military and fly around with it. But, yeah.....he made no money. Right. But they have to be written this way, because they have to force down our throats what 'victims' they are. -_-
To be fair, Falcon was a fugitive from Civil War to Infinity War, He was presumed dead from Infinity War to Endgame, and Tony well, died during Endgame. His last paycheck from Tony would be before Civil War which are more than a decade ago in Universe. Still, that didn't explain why Pepper or as you said, The Government doesn't continue his paycheck after Endgame.
It was already revealed awhile ago that the CGI teams working at Marvel are overworked, understaffed, and basically having to crunch to get things out in time.

When he asked what happens to Hawkeye’s arrows afterwards I immediately thought Damage Control deals with it. Do the writers know/remember that the entire question of the aftermath of battles got an entire movie called Spider-Man Homecoming which lead to Vulture and Shocker?
Also isn’t it ret4rdedly funny that he instantly starts acting like she’s an avenger? She turned green and stopped one fucking chick. How do you jump straight to “WHAT DO THE AVENGERS DO?!?”

I CAN'T TAKE THIS! MY GOD!!! The dialogue... what is this, "Ally McBeal Meets the HULK"??? Oh My God, Jessica Gao, the horrid writer of this piece is expressing her emotional injuries and disturbances using the character She-Hulk. I've noticed that the writer made sure she put in that her protagonist, Jennifer Walters, gets hit on and catcalled by men, A LOT. WISHFUL THINKING on the writer's part, reflecting HER OWN WISHES ONTO THE CHARACTER. Firstly, the actress portraying Jennifer Walters IS NOT THAT ATTRACTIVE! The CGI She-Hulk looks better. Not to mention Jessica Gao's opinion and writing of men. Gao is an INCREDIBLY BITTER woman! Done with, 'SHE BULK, Whiner At Law'!.
I've been checking the credits for this show. There's actually 8 people credited for writing she hulk eps (Jessica Gao is only credited for 3 and the rest have been listed for 1 ep each). As you can imagine most of their shows they've worked on are not exactly well known. One of them only has two credits to their name and another three.
@@MajorSmurf Jessica Gao would be the Head Writer who approves the scripts. For the other women who are writing these really bad scripts, hopefully, to save their careers, they're using sobriquettes instead of their real names.
Well... Jennifer Walters as a character was never meant to be attractive. That was part of her insecurities which fueled her lack of confidence, a foundational element of the character for why she all but abandons her normal self to stay She-Hulk all the time. Though that also means that Jennifer Walters shouldn't have had to deal with cat calling, because that is something men do to attractive women who are head turners.
Men cat call all kinds of women. Sometimes it's looks, sometimes just on one attribute, big boobs, big ass, long legs, etc. It's more about the type of man than the woman
@4:30 The writing of the male lawyer is so much worse when you contextualize it properly. They are not private lawyers - i.e., they are not representing people for money. They are public servants in the District Attorney's Office. They prosecute crimes. They do not get to take a percentage of civil recoveries like a private attorney would. The legal scenes in this show are written so poorly it boggles the mind. The legal characters are written terribly. The paralegal is so whacky and nonsensical she's basically a cartoon character. The show writers have no excuse. California is one of the biggest legal markets in the country (and likely the world). Los Angeles (where the first two episodes have been set) is a major hub of that market. There are thousands upon thousands of female trial attorneys in LA that the show writers who could have given mountains of input. At a conservative estimate, there are probably hundreds of female ADAs in the Los Angeles area who could have given specific input on what it's like to work in a DA's Office. I would bet money that at least a few of them went to Berkeley and have Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg paraphernalia in their offices, as does this version of Jen Walters. There is literally no excuse for the poor writing, other than laziness and lack of talent - both of which are apparent.
Watch the scene again. They did the same thing Tony did in Infinity War. He was talking to her until the ship left orbit. That was when she looked at her phone and said, "I guess the calls over" (because the call dropped) Admittedly, I doubt our cell towers would even reach vehicles in low orbit, but their world has different and much more advanced technology. Drinking alcohol, not being able to get drunk, but then suffering from a hangover seem like a great analogy for this entire show.

It also doesn't make sense. Do the writers not know how hangovers work? Clearly not.

Lol
WOW perfectly
Exactly lol

I guess that the scene where she gets fired is meant to show that, in fact, she really is the World's worst lawyer. Consider how a REAL attorney would handle this situation:
"I'm afraid you lost your case."
What, did the jury come back?"
"No, the Judge declared a mistrial."
"Ok, that's reasonable. So I didn't lose anything. We just have to do it all over again. Well, too bad, but that Titania lady was at fault here."
"Yes, but, I'm afraid that we need to fire you. You'e a distraction."
"I see. Has the Bar Association, the Judge or anyone else accused me of Professional Malpractice for saving the Judge and Jury's lives? Or is this just your reaction to this unfortunate situation? I really need to know."
"It's just something we need to do."
"Well, something that I JUST need to do is sue your firm for wrongful discharge without a reasonable cause. In fact, it's outright discrimination based on my immutable physical characteristics, which is illegal, in case you didn't know. You want to reconsider your decision before my complaint is served?"
That would actually show that she's a half-way decent attorney, intelligent and a fighter. But no, she takes this patently unfair and illegal decision without even a protest. I's pathetic. Ok, it's a "comedy" (allegedly), but that's totally no excuse for making your main character look like a spineless incompetant.

You glanced over the fact Titania, the possible main villain of the series, was fleeing traffic court and decided to randomly barge into another court room dealing with a completely different case and attack people.

@@mannybruce8950 to be fair, the bad writers admitted that they are in fact bad writers.
Such brave. Much strong.)

The show also perpetuates all the real-life female stereotypes, like she-hulk eating an entire tub of icecream out of stress

@Mimo You watched episode 1? Good god, friend. What were you thinking??
@@joshgamingvlogs5203 that was a perfect summary of my thoughts as to why it was weird
Your expecting logic and rationality to prevail in this show ?

I haven’t watched the episode so this is the first I’m hearing of this. This is actually a brilliant argument 😂I am stunned

They shouldve made the entire show in a "The Office" style of comedy, the paralegal could be doing pranks on the intern, the boss couldve been endearingly stupid but lovable, missed opportunity imo
That would’ve been pretty great tbh!
There's that one series about superheroes from the eyes of a normie played by Vanessa Hudgens. Forgot the name. Fun series. Unfortunately, it ran just for 1 season
Edit: it's called Powerless
Yeah, because the MCU needs more comedy.
This whole show is a missed opportunity
this is the one time i've wished a random youtube commentor was the head writer on a show
This was a hundred times more enjoyable than watching the actual show would have been. You turned trash into treasure.
Fab work.

@@eddiebendigo7317 Umm...yeah, pretty sure that was irony. 😆
@@brianmurphy6480 okay, that's your opinion.
Yeah, chalk up yet more evidence that the writers don't have any idea how the real world works.
That's insulting to wooden spoons, my friend.
I believe Johnnys lawyer actually got promoted...
The first Iron Man movie and the Dark Knight(2008): “We're doing a good job at making good super hero films, telling good stories and making sure comic book movies can be taken seriously.”

21:00 to be fair the "map to the best bathroom for poopin'" was my favorite scene, I like this guy, thanks for the tip bro :D
VFX artist here. They for sure green screened the iPad. The number of times I’ve had to do a screen burn in (that’s what they call the shot) and the actor is just scribbling incoherently over top of the screen (or randomly touching it like no one ever touches a screen) has happened far too many times to count. We are always like “JUST USE A REGULAR IPAD”
My favorite part is when her brother Bruce Wane told here "This is where the fun begins", they grabbed hands, and drove off the cliff.
My favorite part was the dramatic speech at the end,
*"You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating good writing & storytelling the other half would thrive. But you've shown me, that's impossible.
No, they just hire 90s zoomers, the most untalented spoilt generation
You have it backwards: Hollywood has always hired the most talented 'people with excellent attributes' they could find.
A few others
Gamma Guardian
Jade Juggernaut
Viridian Vigilante
Empress of Emeralds
Gamma Gladiatrix
And to be fair to Blonsky, he was given an experimental drug that affected his mind.
Jade Juggernaut sounds like a cool name she could have tried to make stick.
A 9 episode run and they're already producing 22 minute episodes. Got to love that work ethic.
And those effects are appalling.
It was already revealed awhile ago that the CGI teams working at Marvel are overworked, understaffed, and basically having to crunch to get things out in time.
You meant woke effort.
"I much rather have the rampant egotism and manhating from the first episode at least it was objectively bad that you can laugh at to take the piss out of" - Disparu. This is one of the great rants of all time. Pure entertainment! Entertainment you cannot possibly get from the M-She-U.
Yea but She Hulks Dad would not of seen ‘Spiderman homecoming’ would he?
@@jman72898 One fucking IRRELEVANT chick (in the MSHEU, don't @ me).
I was happy that that idea and solution (DoDC) were built into the story for Homecoming.
In a world with many heroes and many villains, it should be obvious to everyone that having powers doesn't make you an Avenger. It might make you a crook. Or it might make you a nobody. This should be obvious to everyone. Terrible, terrible writing.

There is a reason she got fired... Because the writers (THESE PARTICULAR WOMEN) were incompetent at writing scripts. Look at Daredevil, they had 6 writers and the show was amazing. There reason I don't bring up their gender or sex in the case of Daredevil is because regardless they were competent writers.

One of them only has two credits to their name and another three.
..a nd she looks like a Hulk/offensive lineman - so beating some catcallers to death is definitley on her bucket list...
I love how your review of the episode is as long as the episode it's self, and arguably explains more and def is better lolol
@4:30
The writing of the male lawyer is so much worse when you contextualize it properly.
I am confused, if Hulk is in space travelling reasonable space speed... how are they getting phone signals to eachother. Am I missing something?
Don't think about it...
@@tarektechmarine8209 Excellent analogy of today's general media output. Why didn't I think of that (slaps forehead)😂

Not that I've seen it, just from your summary.
36 year old, unmarried woman with no children who dresses like a slob.
I love the lack of self-awareness from the writers.
"Your ass looks crazy right now" is a compliment
But those men in episode 1 are committing a hate crime that invalidates and oppreses all women in the world

Idk as a woman I rather get complimented by men than women... that's just me.
The "derivative" line was great, her entire existence, is due to absorbing banners blood, she's literally a derivative character.
22:05 Yeah that's not how it works...at all. You can't just sign away a conflict of interest, the firm would need to assign the case to someone else as knowingly sending a lawyer who has a conflict can litterally result in trouble for the whole firm.
Yea like... the defendant and lawyer dont get to say that the conflict of interest doesn't matter.
So she will be Matt Murdock’s boss? I heard they were introducing him, but Matt has more experience being a lawyer
She probably will be but only if he's really, really sorry for being a man.
Daredevil is going to get cucked isn't he?
The horror, you can’t have a man be higher ranking at work than the strong independent female! And if he is, then he has to be evil, dishonest, and predatory
Lawyers aren't unionized. They can put whoever they want in charge and if the underlings don't like it, they can seek employment elsewhere.
@@donlackie5752 I understand that. But in the first episode, it was said that Jenn is a paralegal, not really a lawyer. If you were a law firm, a person who is not a lawyer, you would make them in charge?
