Yes, I often give these same exercises to my patients who have prolapse to improve support around their hip muscles to improve support for their pelvic floor and internal organs.
Thank you Very good explanation of pelvis and surrounding muscles Enjoyed this video and the exercises I have weakened pelvic floor muscles now due to hypertonic muscles and age . I can address the relaxation bit now through breathing and Vagal breath . Would your exercises from this video help regain some of my pelvic muscle strength ? I do minimal kegels
Overactive bladder (OAB) can be caused by a number of things (ex: muscle weakness, medication side effects, behavioral patterns of peeing just in case too often, consuming food/beverages that are high in bladder irritants, dec in estrogen that makes the bladder more sensitive as it fills, etc....). In cases where pelvic floor + hip muscle weakness is the cause, then yes these exercises can be helpful.
Some research has confirmed a relationship between cervical incompetence and weaker pelvic floor muscle strength. With that in mind, working on pelvic floor and hip strengthening would be a beneficial strategy to explore, and these exercise would be helpful assuming you dont have any exercise precautions from your medical team.
Learning how to coordinate your breath with your pelvic floor effectively + strengthening the larger hip muscles around the pelvis are helpful strategies to improve and address prolapse symptoms. This video and my Kegels in motion series (see description above for links) are ones I would recommend checking out.
Are these exercises safe for someone with a prolapse?
Thank you

Is this not recomended for prolasps? I have multi going on. If not, any suggested video's of yours for tight muscles to loosen & relax? Thank you!

Can I do this while I’m pregnant?
Yes, as long as you don't have any exercise restrictions from your birth provider and don't experience any pain for discomfort with these movements.
Do you have a recommendation for something to use in place of yoga blocks or approximate height of the yoga block?
You bet! A stool, stack of books, ottoman, etc. It’s ok if the height is a bit higher than the yoga blocks it will just add a bit more of a challenge
Thank you!
