Hi! It's called The Matrix Illuminated, thank you for asking, available on Amazon, Kindle and paperback :) Thanks on the comment about the edit too, it was my first experiment with Davinci Resolve. I need to do more with it, super intuitive and FREE tool. I agree, the cyberspace scenes need to be in color, elevates the whole thing.
Robert Longo, the director of the movie, released a Black and White version last year. Before that came out, he was already showing it to reporters and other people, so word got out. It was his way off, short of a director's cut, leaving his imprint on this movie as he originally envisioned it. Inspired by that, I did this color grading last year, but kept the cyberspace bits in color. Real life is dull and monochrome, virtual reality is technicolor madness. A parable for our days today, no?
@@Solivagant The story left quite an imprint just the way it was. Inspired the Wachowski sisters to hire Keanu for The Matrix. The Matrix did something similar with the tint of the matrix has old green screen and the real world more ruddy to show age and war.
Looks amazing in black and white
Perfect combo. Just got out of a B&W screening and I was hoping somebody had done this. The cyberspace stuff looked pretty flat in B&W
Thanks for making this exist considering this is how William Gibson and Robert Longo originally wanted the movie to look like.❤
very interesting, great concept. wish the director would have envisioned it this way.
This is so cool.
Very cool. This is the way they should have done it!
PS: What is the name of your Matrix book?

Well this is amazing.
All credit to the amazing work of Robert Longo and William Gibson and cast and crew. This movie needs a cultural reckoning!
is there a full cut? this rips!
It's a cool idea for sure
But why?
