In the Netherlands, an ambulance can request a police escort when they have to move a critical patient and any sudden movement could aggravate the injury (think serious neck or spinal injuries, or a patient receiving delicate in-ambulance care, where you don't want anything to accidentally slip). Having police clear any obstacles in advance helps ensure a smooth ride with minimal acceleration and deceleration.
The radio chatter is mostly the advance units informing the unit that stayed with the ambulance which lane to take through the intersection, for example "left lane to go straight" or "right lane to go left", and the unit with the ambulance calling out the distance to the next intersection, telling the advance units when it's OK to move to the next.

Leapfrogging over each other to the next intersection, blocking traffic so the ambulance has a free lane. A opolice escort i requwsted depending on the condition of the patient and nature of the injuries. The whistle produces a high pitched sound so you can hear it over the sirens.

Actually, it gets really impressive when there is no escort, but there's no police channel for those, obviously. The way people make room all by themselves is so nice to see. I saw one on the Periferique in Paris where some random biker helped out in front of the ambu in rushhour, that guy was an absolute unit of hero.

This was a transport from one hospital to an other, that man on the ground was not part of their transport.

i'm Dutch and when we learn to get our driverslicence we learn how to react to this kind of situations. Yes we hear the sirenes and the whistle, even in our car. We know how to react and we will make way for the ambulance or police.

10:38 what they say is basic. Rechtdoor, rechtdoor means straight on lane for straight on. Rechtsaf voor linksaf means right turn lane to turn left. The first part is the lane the scouts choose, the second is where they'll go on the crossing. Ik ben bij je means I'm with you, from the command vehicle to the scout at the crossing, so the scout knows to go on. Unless more is needed, that's basically all. Sometimes they take a bus/tramlane, sometimes they take the opposite lane. On highways, a number indicates the lane from left to right.

2:46 The person on the ground is receiving first aid so the ambulance can drive past to a more urgent event. A second ambulance is being dispatced for him/her.
the police reported this and advised the ambulance to drive around with enough room.
When an ambulance hads police escort, it is certainly a matter of life & death. The victim on the ground is not receiving CPR, and a quick judgement is 'continue to the urgent case'.
You saw 3 motorcycles. 1 in driving in front of the ambulance as a 'commander', the other 2 leap-frog ahead per intersection to clear them of alll traffic and report to the 'commander' of what lane to use. The 'commander' is in contact with the ambulance.
Also there were 2 ambulances. My guess as a first-aid/lifeguard is the patient in the worst ambulance is having hart-failure. It is normal practice in teh Netherlands to send 2 ambulancec in cardiac-arrest cases. The first one arrives and starts medical aid, and puls all the required equipmend out of the vehicle.
The second ambulance will carry the patient to the hospital without the need of putting all the medical equipment back in the ambulance first (getting on the road as quick as possible). Equipment will travel with the patient and at the emergency station after tranferring the patient all the equipment will go back to it's ambulance.

In NL All 3 disciplines can be called upon separately, but if necessary they'll call them to help
Fire Department does fires and rescues from dangerous situations (like a crashed car, people in the water - not in coastguard 'range' etc)
Police will do their protect and serve thing (catch criminals, assist if needed, etc. -preferably without using weapons, this includes but not limited too tasers & guns)
Ambulance/Life Liner (Chopper version) stick to first aid , getting you stable and transport to Hospital ASAP
We get taught at a young age that blue flashing lights and a siren song = make Mozes proud, part that sea of vehicles. And most people act like they should, although you might still encounter some entitled asshole that doesn't give a shit

Ehmm... this was not from one hospital to another. This was from The Hague's most crowded and cramped shopping street downtown, pedestrian zone, to not even the closest by hospital around. Hospitals have specializations. The one closest by is where you see both ambus from a bystander pov. It was a streetfight with stabbings, I seem to remember. I'm not sure it was wise to bring them both to the same hospital...
