I get that. There are some songs that you can discover new things each time you listen. Or it takes multiple listens to suddenly click. Thats the stuff i love. Thanks for watching!
music trancends all else and you don't need to be 'on' anything to 'space out' listening to it. just immerse yourself in the joyous aural symphony that is a Tool song and ride the wave 😎🤘 Respect & Peace ☘
hey, tool fan here! love your videos. each time I can watch someone enjoy these experiences i can experience it like the time my friend introduced me to them when i was in highschool. We all use tools to build and interact with our world and journey. this is another "tool" i use to help bring me back to myself
Thanks for the kind word and sharing this. I am beginning to understand their music can be a tool to gain insights and perspective on life and so much more.
These are great! And you're picking up on the double entendres right away. You're in the zone! Love how this song is heavy. It's like a burden. I want it to hurry but it won't. It takes time. "Eulogy" is another atypical one. That was track #2 of their second full LP. Already knew from that song that they were my GOATs. I have a feeling "Sober" will hit you hard. Much ❤ to Grandma. And I'm originally from Boston. We ain't patient when we drive!😆
Thank you so much! Eulogy was not on my list yet, i have added it. I recorded a reaction to Sober yesterday and you are correct. It should be up later this week.
Oh, i just did sober, but did not do the live version :(. Apologies. Maybe i will check it out at some point, because i really liked that song. That one spoke to me.
@@SaeedReacts. No worries, the studio version is also wonderful! You should definitely consider the live also for the performance. Maybe even better to have heard the song first like most of us. That said, you can always come back to it later. More is only a good thing.
Do “Pushit (studio)” and then “Pushit (Salival Live)” back to back. They’re two different interpretations of the same song, and the live version is remastered to almost studio quality.
Lol I know I’m just bothering you till it drops and arguing with the troll in the last tool video lol 🎶 I must keep reminding Saeed of this…I must keep reminding Saeed of this 🎶
Echo Records, Christchurch, New Zealand, 12:10am 15th May 2001. That's when I first heard this song. 12 hours prior to Holland and 16 hours prior to the USA. My mother grew up on de Rosestraat, Rotterdam, where the Feyernoord Stadium currently is. She used to dive off the rail bridge in the 1960s
Cannot confirm , however - Maynard’s mother had a stroke that left her quadriplegic. He was pre-teen(?) when it happened. His mother passed prior to this recording. The 10,000 Days title is a “testament” to the time she spent paralyzed. And some songs on this album reference his mother, her passing, her faith, and many things. Really like your reviews. Different culture between us, allows me to see from different eyes. Thank you!
The Patient as a real gem in a sea of masterful compositions!! Lateralus is one of the greatest albums ever conceived, without question. The depth of the music on that album are just beyond compare, just incredible stuff!
I’ve watched all your tool reactions and this is my first reply. You are a really complex and gracious person, thanks for sharing your experiences in life so glad you enjoyed all the songs now it’s time to listen to another few bands that this singer performs with. Go give Puscifer a listen and then A Perfect Circle ⭕️ Puscifer=light hearted and cool harmonies with a female singer and they rock out then APC=prophetic personal and grooving ☮️👍⭐️
Finding tool so early in your reaction channel is really going to set a high bar - but here are some you might give a try: - System of A Down - Toxicity - Audioslave - Like a stone - Rage against the machine - Killing in the name Spiral out!
Hey. I have a fun suggestion! Its basically a wine tasting... but for sub genres of metal. Stoner metal (verry riffy) : Red fang - Prehistoric Dog (video is lots of fun) Power metal (fast) : Dragon Force - Fire and Flames (video depicts their amazing technical abilities) Groove metal (heavy riffs and raspy voices) : Lamb of God - Redneck Doom metal (blues and metal had a baby) : Electric Wizard - Electric Wizard Heavy metal: High on Fire - the black plot And this is really only a handful of sub genres. And only really my fave in said subgenre
@@SaeedReacts. i actually listen to a fair ammount of different music. I can do a little list for some country, rock, grunge, Funk, Blues, Jazz or experimental music. Are what I'm most familiar with.
There is an interlude track/song that should be played before the song: The Patient. I believe it's called: Eon Bue Apocalypse. These songs are only separated by track numbers but are blended together with almost no separation. Anyway, this interlude track sets the stage or mood for this song.
Congrats on being clean 👍. That is an absolutely sick song, this & Reflection are stupendously on another level. Don’t trip too much on the lyrics, just try to enjoy the musicianship without any baggage 🧳. I find it more enjoyable that way, have a great day 👍.
@@SaeedReacts. Nah man, all good, you’re not doing anything wrong. Lyrics are everything, sometimes I let em take a back seat just to enjoy the whole piece, you know what I mean? Keep enjoying it brother 👍. Have you gave QOTSA a listen? If you get a minute, give it a go, it’s pretty cool also. Yeah, & good on ya for staying straight, it’s the only way. I’ve dabbled hear & there mate, but I’ve never succumb to it. I’ve seen some horror stories though, one of my best mates was murdered for a few grams of weed ( no lie ). The thief even killed his own best mate accidentally in the process, double murder. All for a few grams of weed, ( can you believe that ) ? Horrible robbery gone wrong, we were also angry at our mate for putting himself in that position, I still can’t believe it. Anyway, the moral of my rant is to just stay away, this happened over a little weed ffs. Stay clean bro, you look healthy now, you’re in front 👍. You’ll be fine.
@@peterdalmationcro4217 I know of QOTSA, but not familiar with their music. Damn, man that is rough. I come from a similar background/upbringing. Got lucky more than a few times. Some of my friends werent that lucky. Glad i got out. One day at a time!
Sounds like ya need Turkey Tail, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga and Lion's Mane medicinal mushrooms. They soften your emotive responses and fine-tune your system.
delirium tremens... you should check out this song by Christy Moore, it's a live version of his classic song 'Deirium Tremens' an absolute belter of a tune 😎🤘- p.s. you might need to pull up the lyrics for this so you can understand it ua-cam.com/video/TSy-zANccLs/v-deo.html Respect & Peace ☘
I did change something with the mic last recording session. Going to see if i can fix that. Apologies for the coming videos 😅. Still figuring this out as i go. Thanks for letting me know!
This song has made me break down sobbing so many times.. "I just keep reminding myself of this...." It gets me every time.
I understand that, i must listen to it again. It is so good. Thank you for sharing.
I listened to this song alot after my complicated hip replacement. A year later, I'm walking better than I have in 10 years
Thanks so much for sharing, and i am glad to hear you are doing so good. Walking for me essential to clear my mind.
Top 5 Tool song for me. This song helped me through so many times over the years you have no idea
I can see this song being there for people struggling. Have a great day!
This song hits me right in the feels. Love you grandma ❤
Its a great song. Thanks for being here! I appreciate it.
I always say this is Tool's most underrated song. It's really special.
This and 4°
It's really good, so glad i have found their music through this channel.
Agreed
I don't think it's underrated at all. I would say a song like Jimmy is underrated. The Patient is a very popular and loved song.
Underrated by who? Always considered this one of the shiniest gems on Lateralus.
Deep
So many layers.
Often times I remember the moment I truly understood the song/lyrics, more than the first listen (bigger impact imho)

I agree. When i was younger i thought otherwise, but now i know its not necessary. Peace!
Gives me chills and eyes water.
Great song!
This is why alot of TOOL fans say listen to TOOl songs in order , his personal experiences are written down for you in his lyrics.
Tool is adventure. So beatuful❤❤
Truly is!
The way I see it is that our lives, our paths, have to catch up to TOOL. Only then can we appreciate what TOOL is trying to accomplish.
I like that. Hopefully om on the right path. 🤟

Their best song IMO.
This is a great song. Cant pick a favorite yet. Every time listen to another song it's my new favorite 😅

Low key the best Tool song. (i mean, they all are really, but given the gun to head scenario i would spit this out definitely)
