Omfg…The nostalgia of a game I had completely forgotten existed and the floodgate of memories that burst the moment I heard the announcer say “Round 1”….Damn, it’s wild how I found the sounds made by each character as memorable as anything else! Whoever was playing this though…Starting around Chrome-Dome, it got to be extremely frustrating watching them REPEATEDLY try a forward/jump attack against their opponent, only to get swatted down, or otherwise countered damn near EVERY TRIP!!! After about 30 consecutive backflip-slashes, compliments of Leonardo, I was shaking my head incredulously every time I saw him forward-jump period, even if only to close space 😆🤬😤😳🤪
Mine as well. I remember the staff spin being especially effective and then his over-the-shoulder throw being really good as well but I'm not seeing that use very much at least not in the first couple fights
Donatello is my favorite turtle, but my favorite color is red.... He brought the science in the turtles and he used the bo staff... Would you consider the altered color of the character a clone or something? Well I mean in the main story of course...
my favorite turtle is Mikey and my favorite color is red. in the original ( admittedly dark ) comic series they all wore red bandanas so no I wouldn't consider it a clone i'd consider it an original color palette
I hated fighting "L" characters in fighting games. Leonardo is definitely the hardest turtle to beat. "L" characters are like Ryu from street fighter and I called them "L" fighters because of the "L" pattern in which they fight. Shooting a horizontal fireball (or slash in Leo's case) then immediately doing a vertical uppercut as soon as you try to jump in (or rising slash in Leo's case). Unfortunately its a very cheap way according to the way the AI plays.

I never played this on SNES. I had the genesis version. I can see why people like this one better
I just got the Cowabonga collection I always played the SNES version growing up, I tried the Genesis version on there... TBH it's horrible
