Great game..on arcade..before '90 I think, in salon for fun. And 2 cops..with blue and orange robotic armor..What's the name of that arcade,I can't remember🤷♂️
This was a great year for arcade gaming. I remember TMNT was still hot and this came out shortly thereafter. Never before had we played games that were so true to the fan lore than at this time, I pumped countless coins into these coin-ops, lost count of how many.
Dude!!! This is one of my all time fave arcade games! Played it in the arcades and I was hugely disappointed that the megadrive version was totally different. Thanks for the memories !
Moonwalker was such a strange & quirky video game that it actually worked. It played upon Michael’s super heroic image and his dance moves. It even created a combat style that was inspired by his dance moves. I know that Michael has been criticized for seeming really weird in real life but in this game, Michael actually becomes a hero.
@@sunwukong7567 Still, he was quirky. Did anyone ever look at the credits scroll for this game? There is no mention of anyone working on this game. Only MJ's name and promoting his music albums.
@@brandont7214 That's the best thing, he had total control over the credits. He was both the game designer and producer. Though he left much of the work to a Japanese Game Planner who had worked for Capcom.
they had this at the Pizza Hut in the neighborhood. I loved it but the Genesis version was such a disappointment. thanks for uploading. Its amazing how time flies
For this generation she's the equivalent. I grew up in the 80s, so I know how huge Jackson was and it was before the internet and social media. And it was brilliant of Jackson to be part of the arcade scene to further enhance the popularity of the Moonwalker film. Business wise: Both Jackson and Swift were/are top notch brilliant.
I remember playing this game on the Sega Genesis back in 1992. This was one of the coolest games at the time. The gameplay was smooth, the graphics and sound were crazy and it was just an all-around fun game to play.
@@Kikwatz well, that’s your opinion, I enjoyed it. My mama always used to say there is a toilet seat for every ass. Sorry, you didn’t like it, I loved the game on Genesis.

I remember you could play 4 players simultaneously at the arcade WHITE, BLACK, RED..and i forgot the 4 Michael jacksons outfit color🤧😆😆 game was littt AF🤧😆😆😆😆🫶🫶🫶
There's some strange reason why that occurred but I don't remember. Time to Google. Licensing issues apparently. Weird. Port this game to consoles, stat.
THIS was a very fun game actually. There was a machine at my local arcade and it supported up to four players. Very fun, lots of SFX, rhythm, and evil Joe Pesci. Made it to the final level with my older brother and two other young dudes. Took a weeks worth of quarters but it was worth it! Good times!
One of my fave games. I was never able to beat it. I used to leave my Sega running for hours while i was away at school just to go back and play where I left off at
Ah the 90s. Michael and Sega together were as iconic as Jordan and Nike. From the Moonwalker games to composing music for Sonic titles and eventually appearing in Space Channel 5. Good memories.
I used to play it non-stop in a shopping center in my neighborhood... The arcade version differs completely from the Mega Drive, which left many people disappointed, but I played both whenever I could.
I love how they included the two things Michael Jackson are most known for... 1: his music 2: turning into a giant robot and destroying things. Oh, you thought I meant something else?
I was 12 or 13 years old when this game come out..i watched the movie first in VHS and then i played on my segamegadrive.. Im sure that generations was the best cause you dont look at pixel, fps or whatever you want... Just play and enjoy. Simple games but was funny times.. Now we have a good technology but less funny times, we are not able anymore to enjoy a videogames, we starting at looking mhz,fps,resolution,4k, we criticize everything its not good on the screen, we are not satisfy.. Old times was best times
RIP MICHAEL JACKSON 😢 🙏 (1958 - 2009), can't believe it's been 15 years since we lost him 😢
I loved when Mike started dancing as his super move and the villains danced along with him😂😂😂😂😂
This game was a showstopper even on the arcade floor..
I only had it for the Sega, I never knew it was an arcade game.
The graveyard part on the Sega always got me. I could never get passed it.
I remember playing this at the local laundromat when I was a kid😂 great game
Exactly where I use to play this game..lol guess it was exclusive to laundromats
Great game
Always Galaga LOL.

You thought the megadrive version was a disappointment. You obviously never played the commodore Amiga version... lol
Mega drive version is best of the best event it’s more improved in OST , graphics and story
Riiiight.. more fun with the 4player co-op

What would it take to get this arcade gem on console? I have the Sega Genesis version but would love to own this one too as it's its own beast.
I was there Gandalf, it was 3000 years ago.... and was so fun playing this game back then.
This game came out when I was in elementary school, and the quality is still good. I remember the group dance being fun and impressive.
Even if you weren’t an MJ fan, you have to admit this game was so fcking cool at that time

Mega drive.
Rest In Piece to the one and only legendary in Michael Jackson!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I played this cool game on my Sega 16 bit. I loved it because it was so different. Plus i loved thé movie Moonwalker.
Rest in peace Michael Joseph Jackson 1958 - 2009 music legends never die

Wat r u talkin the sega version was harder and better... Only the graphics and FPS here is good IMO.
He’s even powerful in the video games… ain’t got no gun! Who’s bad?
Before '90 I think..Arcade..Salon for fun..Beautiful child memories❤
This game was such a vibe
This and Rock'n Roll Racing were the best games soundtrack ever.
Both great games, wish they could bring them to PS store so I could play them with my kids they would love it.
The soundtrack rocks cus it’s mj songs 😂😂😂😂
Cool how you remastered the graphics 🔥🔥 really loved this game because all Mike's music was used
Loved when he danced in front of the rolling barrels 😂
I loved this game!!! Wish I could play it again
You can, with M.A.M.E
Now we have tech, also classic arcade games arent heavy so you can play mostly classic games with emulators
That thumbnail was so epic
This game was harder than it looks...
I like how he turns into Robo Cop 😂
The Jacksonator
メガドラ版よくやってました。これがアーケード版なんですね。メガドラ版は
MJが踊って何故か敵が全滅するものでした。
Wow the memories, another cool thing about this game was there were four playable versions of MJ that could be played at the same time. Fun times.
This crazy thing reminds me of my childhood
Taylor swift will never reach this kind of fame
She's very popular, for whatever reason, and yes, she will never reach icon status like MJ.

1up Arcade needs to get licensing to this and mass sell it like TMNT ect. Instant buy!
No one found it strange that he was rescuing little kids?
I think they were trying to launder his image the best they could, given that they couldn't deny that Michael spent a lot of time with children.

8-Bit "Another Part of Me" slaps!
Why does Michael heal from encounters with children?
Youthful healing. As you get older, it takes a longer time to heal.
This was fun....imagine if Prince got a game....he had a Comic Book though at least...

Graveyard stage should have had the thriller music.
Joguei esse game!
Saudades.
The most difficult thing about this game was changing his direction
사람은 세상에 무얼 남겼나가 중요한데…. MJ는 세상에 음악과 자손을 남겼고 세가에 게임까지 남겼네요
2 player mode was fun as well 😊
The movie is so lit. I tried to do the dance moves when i was little but, i couldn't do them
I love how the walking animation is the Moonwalk, so MJ is always backwards.
メガドライブ版は知っていたけどアーケード版は初めて見た!完全に別のゲームですねw
個人的には敵のメカのデザインが凝ったデザインが多くて好きです😂
Still looks and sounds amazing. Spent many quarters on this one 🪙
Sega did an amazing job , a good remake in 3D would be welcomed
