Talk about a tragedy:
A young boy named Desmond Miles ran away from his family at the age of 16, behind him he could hear his mother calling out his name. He never saw his mother again.
Not to mention that he is a slave to both the assassins and the templars. Being used because of his genes, while slowly going insane not being able to tell the present and the past apart. Later, to find out, that the person that he trusted and liked died by his hand and was later found to be a templar spy. And in the end, he dies saving the entire world.
What happend to his mother?
@@haramisalami5318 its never been explained. She is still alive, as said in AC 3
@@hunterofthebigfootwithinte5609 i wish we got to see more from Desmonds past like as a game (sry for my English)
At 4:40, Desmond said every man has his limit. Just like him, I can't remember a time when I stopped believing, when I stopped caring. That hit me in the heart.
Desmonds life is ultimately tragic, born and raised in a compund and daily indoctrinated in a system he had no choice or belief in, wanting to live a normal life, ultimately dragged into it against his will costing him everything
I play this at night to fall asleep to. I loved the Desmond's journey sequences.
I liked it too when i played it back then, it was so calming but at the same time kinda mysterious and it was interesting to get to know more about desmond...
I like how we discover desmonds origins in these
Kinda sad they didnt continue with things like this. It actually encouraged me to go out and collect things.
Yeah, it wasn't bad, even if it was like two completely different games.
SpiderMatty We interrupt this third-person action-adventure game to bring you a first person puzzle game
Because the templars are the illuminatti
what are you talking about? it looks horrible. The idea of collecting stuff to unlock a cool history was a great idea, instead of collecting the flags from AC1, AC2 and ACB for no good reason. This story about desmond's origins and the dialogues and all that, its great too. But forcing players to go through that awful first person puzzle minigame was a terrible idea. They should of made some slideshows with the history and the dialogues, max payne like, or banner saga like, not this shit lol. I guess it could of been worse though, they could of pull the "hell on wheels" card, something like "If you fall once you won't get 100% synchronization and you'll have to restart all over again".
@@draicor Wasn't a bad idea. Its pure art by combining visuals, music and puzzles to tell a story. I think most just saw the puzzles and didn't see or feel how it was all connected. Guess people like to be spoon fed.....oh well.

After, you are rewarded with a new skin for Ezio, Desmond. You can now equip this outfit through the inventory section in the menu.
Like in the the achievements on ac revelations: 1. The early years 2. The reluctant assassin 3. Escape to New York 4. The Rotten Apple 5. Are you Desmond Miles?
@@masterjmv2374 exactly. I miss when the achievements themselves had stories in them.. what have you done, Ubisoft?
@@22_Will They got lazy
@@Phelps-1247 I wouldn’t call it lazy in my opinion, I’d call it careless.
@@22_Willthat literally means lazy
This unique memory sequences, though they were all basic puzzles, it leaves you a feeling no other Assassin's Creed game nowadays left you before.
These first person platformer sections were all basic, short and few in number. But they were one of my favourite things about Revelations, it was refreshing to play these after running about as Ezio... too bad there weren't any more about Desmond's Journey
: /
Well, but you get more of this gameplay in the Lost Archive DLC. :)
It only pisses you have even more that they had killed Desmond off once you see this and replaced him with some boring ass intern
khi coolblast you are the “boring ass intern.” 😂
He's back!
@@metalcore_love I play video games to escape from reality not be my normal shitty self

what? (i skipped vallhala)
@@ThatGuyKh1 damn... I relate so much to that...
I actually hated that first person platforming because it would make me sick every time in literally 2min. so sick I would have to quit playing all together and lie down, cant handle first person anything lol, loved to see more of Desmond history tho...
The trailer was really misleading it looked like they were gonna actually put this with story cutscenes and have it in third person but they changed it.
Damn, this was quite relaxing to watch.
Thank you so much for this guide 👍🏻
Such a good character with a complex backstory they finally explained better and then.. they kill him in the next game. God fucking damnit, Ubisoft.
i find this so relaxing
Thank yolu VERY much. I greatly appreciated the back story without all the redos because I'd gotten it almost right.😋
It makes me angry when I see that they replaced Desmond with Leyla...
Layla is more interesting in her writing, but she has none of the backstory or mystery that Desmond did. We got this full story of his childhood, and abduction into the fight. Layla is more interesting from her start point, but basically backstory has is that she worked for Abstergo (besides a few emails with family here and there)
@@MellyMelon1331 Whoever that is, sounds generic af
@@Phelps-1247 she's so boring that even the silent player in rogue and black flag in the present day was more enjoyable

Oh my! it's assassins creed, it's got a lot of secrets in the face ... it was the first thing I thought when I got the power to create paths and I don't see a youtube video with someone behind them, I managed to find two on this first map and I've seen that I'll have to break my head on my own trying to find more on this one and on others.
I love this side quest. I wonder if you can play as Altair if you can get 100% on all memories from 1. best served cold to 9. revelations
Altair's uniform should already be available to you in your inventory
That’s some good 8/8 rhythm going on at the start
I kind of like how when he’s talking about the river its like of like a digital river
With a background music of Eastern Sun's "We are one" would be amazing...
Thankyou Very easy with backup
Desmonds story seems so much better in retrospect, with these missions, a little info spread in newer games and especially a few dialogues added in ac valhalla. Too bad i never saw desmonds journey until now.
Also too bad they never fleshed him out as a character while he was alive (well, save for these missions)
There is two more that seem broken
Yup.
Underghood amazing I love Desmond.
I remember how intense these were
Thank you for this. I wish you showed the picture on the right here 7:40
4:30 Desmond beat the roblox obby 💀
Thanks for these videos I'm playing revelations right now. Why didn't they put this in the rest of the games? Pretty cool
This was either a coincidence or planned out, but the Achievement Logo for Part 3 (Escape) is really similar to AC3's logo. Another thing, that part of the journey talks about how Desmond went to New York. One of the places you can visit in AC3 is New York.
So rewarding that they put the series most uninteresting character's backstory accessible behind the game's most counterintuitive, not-at-all fun sequences
Funny to see a recent comment on a five year old video

You see Desmond's journey: uncommon, intriguing.
Adds Metallica to background: Now that's something else.
It doesn’t mention full synchronisation in game though...?
What does it bring you to collect all animus fragments in desmonds journey?
Wow, this is awesome! How do you unlock/access these memories? Are they all unlocked from the start or do you unlock them at a certain point?
I was wondering the same. I am at Sequence 7 right now, and i got a notification that i can do sequence 2 from Desmond. I guess i missed Sequence 1?
@@zhsf you can acess these memories at animus island by collecting animus fragments scattered throughout the map
20:53 is the best part
So goood! Why did the casual had to ruin the series. It still bugs they hell out of me of those that complained about the modern storyline. Its been there since the first game!
What? Shut up
it was the biggest pull of the series for me, im genuinely still devastated that casual players ruined it
My PS3 would crash when i play these side memories
Are these normally unlocked right away or do you need to collect stuff as Ezio to unlock these? I have the Ezio collection so maybe all of them are unlocked because of that? Or perhaps it’s because of ubisoft connect? Idk
Collect fragments
I could just play them without collecting a single animus fragment.
Did you play the Ezio collectio
@@MrAllallalla Yeah, why?
I've completed this game 100% on xbox360. when I bought ezio collection, I was really surprised I didn't need to collect anything to access
I was interested in Desmond's story but these first person platform games were bullshit.
THANK YOU! I'm so glad someone else can relate. I stopped halfway through the first one and watched this just for the story part of it. No regret or feeling of missing out on that experience whatsoever.
@@rDsJR7 Yeah I thought I wanted to 100% these games. THen about 350 flags into AC 1 i said "What the fuck am i doing"

3:48 Religion in a nutshell.Once you stop believing you mental reach increases, you actually see more possibilities.
that has nothing to do with religion but anything you are born into without being explained and educated about it properly. You can be raised as an atheist and start to believe later in your life and still your "mental reach" can increase.
Loser
You chose the worst example for your "proof" in favor of atheism, since the Assassins were *right*
I just heard the Muslim call to prayer in the video. Why did the devs put that in I wonder
Um, maybe it's because it's where Revelations game takes place?
Also when you get the first Masyaf key you can hear it
Do you get anything for doing these
It shows you at the end. A playable Desmond costume in the inventory.
I did them and got the Desmond outfit and then when I went back on the day after it was gone
11:16 for some reason when I do this fall the block gets placed way off to the side even though I am looking directly below me. Done with this pointless shitty mini game. Already completed the main story and if this is how frustrating puzzle number 2 is, I can’t even imagine how cunty the next 3 are.
Isn't it necessary to collect these shiny cubes ?
What shiny cubes?
In all 5 levels you can collect orange cubes. The same cubes like in the "lost archive". You can hear them. They are on hidden places.
Right after the farm section at 2:26 before you go to the next area look up
Collecting those cubes only unlocks different stuff in multiplayer. It has no effect on the single player and does not count towards 100% completion.
OK Thx for the answer!

So you're watch a video of it 🤔
@@thaneros ye it was so boring I skipped that part
@nwo detox I might be the crazy one here but I'll never watch nor comment to a video about the game just to say its boring.
@nwo detox Imo that was Black Flag
I hated these, beyond all things, this helped ruin the game.
Controls were clunky, eligible block placement was all over the place, and it felt way too detached from the main story to the point I wondered why this was even considered part of the game.
One of the many reasons I despise Revelations.
Go outside
I just replayed it but after the first one decided I'd rather eat my own shit than to play thru this tedious, boring, lazily presented excuse of game design. So I came here, only to realize after a few minutes that I really don't care about Desmond as a character. Thank goodness this was optional.
