Thank you for all the info you provide. I’m in the process of having my labs done and look forward to meeting you soon!!!! I did a year of a subscription HRT program which had both positives and negatives and can’t wait to get back on HRT under your supervision!!!

Thank you for shedding light on this!! As always the roads all lead to money. I found that with my provider, he started pellets with Biote and it became all about pellets and he would offer nothing else. So I found another provider who would. I appreciate your expertise and knowledge!!

Yes, for many it is about the money. I have been to Educational societies like A4M, AMMG and others that are definitely about the money. They have all the flash and maybe a total of 5 actual studies.. Worldlink is sooo different. My mind is overwhelmed with the number of studies that they go through. Theres almost too many journal articles to support hormone treatment.

Overdosing or doctor and pharmacy careless dosing is one reason for my fear in consulting someone about resuming HRT. Pellets sound awful and I've heard scary stories. Creams never worked for me.
Then one year the compounding pharmacy that was preparing my oral prescription hired a new pharmacist who apparently didn't realize in compounding that she needed to cut the estrogen powders they used. I took the prescription for almost two weeks before I caught on, when all kinds of dramatic changes started in my body. The pharmacy denied any responsibility. I had such profuse bleeding that i had to sit in the bathtub, and later ended up with breast cancer and was taken off HRT altogether. So yes, overdosing in my view, can be be really damaging.
The other reasons are: the good practitioners don't take insurance, for good reasons; and I have some complicating other health issues, which standard doctors apparently don't deal with so they dismiss them or express that I am imagining them - and they very much need to be considered. So - not being believed. I've dealt with these things all my adult life so trust is very hard. Half of me wants to keep looking and hoping for help. The other half balks at ever trusting anyone again.

Wow, that’s incredible. Why would they teach “overdosing?” Dr. T, you said you had patients come to you from practitioners trained by them. Were they harmed in any way? This is concerning. Maybe you could show up incognito at one of their classes and hold them to task.

It's interesting but don't take one person's view on this. Many physicians only think you need 400IU of Vitamin D, which is the gov't recommendations for health. We know you need 2,000-5000Iu of Vitamin D for your overall health, but have been told for years we were overdosing our patients when we told them to take 5000IU of Vitamin D. The same is true for Dr Tassone saying worldlink is training to "Overdose" their patients. Years ago psychiatrists got all bent out of shape and stated that family MDs or OB's should NEVER treat depression and only Psychiatrists should be allowed to treat depression and anxiety. Funny how all family MDs & OBs now treat these illnesses, and very effectively. Dr Tassone is bashing a very legitimate organization which has helped thousands of men and women with hormone health. Go to a Worldlink conference Dr Tassone to ACTUALLY see what they teach.

What's concerning is someone who has never gone to a Worldlink Conference thinking he knows what they teach. As a Board-Certified OB/Gyn- I have went to literally hundreds of conferences and have never been to a conference where they dissected so many journal articles. It's almost beyond comprehension going thru a minimum of 200 journal articles in 1 conference. I dare you to find a 2 day conference that goes over more literature than Worldlink conference. Dr Tassone is mistaken. I have been an OB/Gyn for 26 years and have seen nothing but good scientific data from Worldlink. Now I will agree that some providers, mainly inexperienced midlevel providers will be more aggressive and try to treat beyond their experience level. Dr Tassone should know this as I'm sure he has had eager students at some point as well, however we don't attack Dr Tassone for teaching his student wrong, or telling them to overdose their patients. Get with it Dr Tassone. And don't tell me you have looked at some videos online as many times they take clips and things are taken out of context. You're better than this Tassone!

So true where getting as much information about hormones & balancing them individually is crucial. I am lucky & live in the UK & with the Newsan clinic & get bio testing so I keep the right balance using gels & progesterone capsules for sleep. Thank you for spreading awareness & I love your hormone bible book 👍

If we don’t know what’s the correct dose ranges . It’s not just these on line places but my doc has no idea what to give except for the minimal possible dose . Mines now trying to give me estrone !!
They don’t even know that estradiol makes it when the body needs it.
I’m 4 hours from you and I think I’m gonna save up to see you !!

Speaking of money, trust and training, what are your thoughts on the MonaLisa Touch laser treatment for vaginal atrophy?

    • @ShawnTassoneMDPhD

I think it’s an expensive therapy that may or may not work and if you’re on estrogen, then it’s a complete waste of money however, if you’re a woman that’s experiencing vaginal dryness and you can’t use estrogen for some reason then it might be helpful but that’s a big might

@@ShawnTassoneMDPhD I just started the estradiol patch and progesterone pill about 2 months ago, 10 years post menopause so probably too late to reverse vaginal atrophy.

Why is he teaching to overdose? Rational?

    • @TLetti

I have been to WorldLink courses and THey do NOT teach overdosing. 20 years ago if you used 1000 IU of Vitamin D someone like Dr Tassone would say you are overdosing. Dr Tassone said himself in the video that sometimes people are poor absorbers of something and need a higher dose but that is the exception rather than the rule that they teach at Worldlink. Absolutely nothing against Dr Tassone, but if he has never been to a Worldlink course he shouldn't make such denigrating statements. Even Dr Tassone cannot control what and how his former students practice. Please give the same courtesy to Dr Rouziers students.
