Sarvam Brahmamayam Live Carnatic Music Concert
Sikkil Gurucharan | Dr. Umayalpuram K Sivaraman
Violin : T.V. Ramanujacharyulu | Ghatam : E.M. Subramaniam
The ultimate unification of different forms of the Almighty to be experienced in unison as Brahmam is the theme explored by Padma Vibhushan awardee, Sangita Kalanidhi Dr Umayalpuram K Sivaraman. This unique concert conceptualized by Dr Sivaraman, begins with salutations to Vinayaka in the inaugural krithi by Sikkil Gurucharan. This is followed by a series of krithis that are presented with devotional fervour dwelling in detail on both the emotional content and musical beauty of each of these compositions. The choice of krithis to include a variety of composers in appropriate ragas, add color. Gurucharan bestowed with a mellifluous voice is ably supported by Sri T.V. Ramanujacharyu who lends commendable support on the violin using all his experience to elevate the whole concert.
The unique way Dr Sivaraman accompanies to embellish the krithis to suit the emotive appeal with technical nuances is a highlight. Specifically, the accompaniment to Sri Jalandhara where he shadows the presentation is a treat to watch, amply demonstrating his signature and bani of playing the mrudangam as an approximation to music. The spirited performance by the team is further evident in the subsequent pieces with the arresting tani avarthanam in Rama Katha by Dr Sivaraman in the company of Sri E. M. Subramaniam, who combines with Dr Sivaraman in an amazing way to complement the playing that enhances the rhythmic beauty thus taking the concert to dizzy heights.
To complete the concert pattern, light pieces and traditional numbers have been included while maintaining the continuity of the theme. Overall, a sumptuous concert that is meant to elevate the viewer to a higher plane and enjoy the oneness with all living beings - Sarvam Brahmamayam.

The one and only Mridhangam Artist who can sing using his God given fingers , using the Mridhangham to play the song , which a musician sings with wonderful gradation . One has to learn the confidence from his facial expressions, and the eyes . May God give him a long life and very good health to teach the future young Mridhangham players . MONI

I thought of the 'Sarvam Brahmamayam' of Sadashiva Bruhmendrar in ' Jhinjothi' (a janya ragam of 28 Harikhambhoji) with D₂ S R₂ G₃ M₁ P D₂ N₂ /D₂ P M₁ G₃ R₂ S N₂ D₂ P D₂ S.
Here , Sarvam Brahmamayam' is the caption of the theme- unification of different forms of the God to be experienced in unison as Brahmam as explored by Dr Umayalpuram Sivaraman. Spirited performance by the team is evident in the tani avarthanam .

Прекрасно! как мало мы знаем Жизнь. Мне кажется я чуть более узнала о ней. Спасибо вам,спасибо Индии!
Perfect! how little we know life. I think I just found out about it more. Thank you, thank you India!
Music is a heavenly experience beyond words. Raga, thaaLa, and bhaava combine to touch the listener's soul. Here all three combined beautifully.
As an American, I so love this music.
It's near-heavenly.

Bhale, Incredible
Amazing music... awesome concert... but where is the Ghatam solo part in this video.... he is also a senior artiste.... his part seems to be cut deliberately.... what is the reason?
Excellent performance
To Gabriel Polley:
Yes, a lot of it is not words except for the beginning and some in the end. This is the solfa or you could call it scat singing as in jazz.
Correct.
lyrics ?
he sounds like he has something to say with that many words. I wish I could understand it. still impressive though
Actually, I think a lot of the words have no meaning, they are like 'Do re mi' in western music.
