Hi Jon and Nellie great idea to produce the E-zine and to follow up with a video on the same subject matter. I agree, the new mic is what was needed and your diction is far clearer. Its been a slow start to the season, but your videos always inspire. Look forward to the next outing
Thank you Jonathan, I found the site, great stuff. Also looked up the step by step Hot Spot PTN. Good looking pattern by the way. But for educational purposes, I was curious about why it called a "Hot Spot" Pheasant Tail Nymph? There's nothing on that pattern that screams Hot Spot. ....from what I can see at least. The only thing that resembles one is the Reddish Brown dubbing.....which is a very productive color over this way too. Either way, I'll whip a few up and try them out. Can't wait! Thanks again Jonathan.
Jonathan, I'm so sorry, but I couldn't understand what you said when you mentioned where we could find the step by step for tying that Mayfly Larva ourselves. "Azine?" "Euzine?" Would you mind telling me where I could find that pattern recipe? Thanks Jonathan. - Justin
Fly Tying with Justin Aldrich. The step by step patterns for the dun and nymph are now live on the site at onstream-guide.com. To subscribe to the free e-zine see beneath the nav bar on the home page. Regards Jon and Nellie.
Excellent video 👍 the microphone is the icing on the cake.
Another great film Jon! The mic is the business, so no muttering swear words under your breath!!
Keep them coming
Good luck
Dave
Great video Jon...used the same duo and technique this morning on my favorite stream. Our native browns loved the nymph pattern.

Great stuff Jonathan. What type of mic are you using now? Really makes a difference.
Don't know why, but the listing picture for this video has gone missing. I'm sure it was there a short while ago, but now ???

Am I the only one who noticed the little beetle on your vest at around 3:30
Great video Jonathan, I only have one complaint, which is the filming.. Unfortunately we never get to see your flies in clear focus:(
Big thanks Jonathan.
